Irrational

If I could turn into mashed potatoes faster.
31 miles and my feet don’t hurt.
There is no detour.
If you run for 31 miles.
There is no detour that doesn’t need to eat.
And my feet don’t hurt, sputter, and gurgle.
Even after being turned into foot chowder.
I took off my shoes.
Going underground in the sewer is nice as her famous ribs.
But ruins shoes and there was no reason to run so far.
Clunk.

Premium Member The Digits on Strike

The digits on strike marching by,
"Irrational!", managers sigh.
"We won't be rounded!",
Digits expounded,
"We just want a piece of the pi!"

Irrational

What has been achieved,
Resistance results in grief
of a senseless death!

Premium Member AN ALLEGORICAL MATH LESSON: Rational and Irrational Numbers

AN ALLEGORICAL MATH LESSON
(Rational And Irrational Numbers)

              1.
Rational numbers,
And irrational numbers,
Teach many lessons:
Allegorical lessons,
On the living of our lives:-

                2.
We must live rationally;
Living irrationally sucks:
Swallowing life’s goals:-
That teasing “pie in the sky”,
Must be assessed by squaring
With God’s sage divine wisdom,
And His repeating guidance:-

                 3.
Thus, always strive to be
In logical reasoning
With ourselves, and with others:-
With deception all wiped out,
And all wrong things put aside,
Always seek to do what’s right:-

Premium Member -Panic Attacks - Irrational Me

Rational me is capable and whole
Irrational me has complete lack of control

Rational me is happy and relaxed
Irrational me panics and cracks

Rational me views life in a positive light
Irrational me battles crippling fear without hope in sight

Rational me makes the most of every day
Irrational me wants to sleep the day away

Rational me is clear...has clarity
Irrational me is afraid…engulfed by anxiety

Rational me sees beauty and light
Irrational me faces a darker plight

Rational me lives life on the right track
Irrational me suffers debilitating panic attacks

Premium Member Anxiety

Anxiety Reverse acrostic

You allow the future to press in on you while allowing
The past to crowd in from behind and you are
Entirely consumed by
Irrational fears that cause excessive
Xerosis of the mouth and severe
Nausea and
Alters your perception of reality

Premium Member Irrational Numbers

Irrational Numbers
David J Walker

There is nothing so opaque
as the past

one day or one million cast
into a single ambiguous folder

	    	older than the
order of the Universe
smaller than the molecule

you cannot see but
you seem to remember
on some primal level

within its remains
the arcane names
                 spelt
in irrational numbers

patterns seen

randomness of

probabilities of

potentials that...
surround us

being existent

differences in....
everything including

all forms...
that perceive

survival or...
maybe not

Humanity of An Irrational Animal

When she fell on the sidewalk
no one volunteered to raise her..
Just a friendly mutt,
 barked beside her for help...
Just an irrational animal,
it's so true...!

Premium Member Irrational Reality

The shrill sounds in the night surely came from
My dream, or my sick psyche, I’m unsure.
Whichever, I awoke pantomiming
Sabbatical dreams after quarantine.

I desperately needed to escape
the unrelenting stress of concealing
The label I hide on the wine bottle.
I could leave the asylum anytime.

At breakfast they wore sorrowful faces when
They told me of the psycho cat’s demise.
I wept walking along listening to
Eerie boardwalk creaks near the white sand beach.

Irrational

Irrational thoughts invade my privacy
Full of a negative type hypocrisy
Leveraged bets on what's placed for free
Looking directly at what's not to see
                                Angry enough although done happily
Arguing although you tend to agree
Acting like the boss but still a trainee
Living the lies within your own fantasy...

Premium Member Irrational Understanding

Those Irrational numbers used in maths,
They lead to understanding what's real,
Those numbers rationalise all that we make,
Like building a perfectly round wheel,

With pi and e and the Golden ratio,
And of course the square root of two,
We can now create everything,
Though Pythagorians thought it taboo.

And how irrational numbers, with a small leap of faith,
Made us logical, stable and wise,
Like the small leap of faith in an irrational god,
When he sent down those three little wise guys.

Yet we try to rationalise the bizarre,
The whimsical, nonsense of insane,
Though it can’t be defined in maths or a bible,
Or in a simple quatrain.

Premium Member Our National Irrational Bird

I'm sittin' here just thinkin'
what bird I'd like to see
High up on a flag pole
just standin' over me
I thought of every kind of bird
from eagle to a dove
but I really must admit
it's the Turkey that I love
Now you might just started thinkin'
a whole lot less of me
But looking at Our Congress
PLEASE tell me what YOU see

Irrational Fears

Sometimes I dream about irrational fears
When I wake up it find myself in tears
It's uncontrollable and not his fault
Old news, been discussed and I felt better
So when these moments come along
I try my best to lock it in my vault

Hard to trust when paternal instincts weren't enough
To keep a man honest and protective
You've looked him in the eye over and over
When you find out the truth
Feels like they're ejecting your love
