Raak jy aan my - English translation included

Raak jy aan my

Die more son is ‘n kus op my wang
So sag soos ‘n veer, raak jy aan my
met die son en maak my verlang,

Die straal in die maan lig, streel my oë
So sag en teer, raak jy aan my
dat ek jou sien met ander oë.

Die wind waai en my omhels
So hou jy my vas, raak jy aan my
Ek voel jou soos ‘n pels,

Wat oor my spoel, raak jy aan my
Ek voel jou hier binne my bloed.

Touch me

The morning sun is a kiss on my cheek
As soft as a feather, you touch me
with the sun and stir my longing,

The ray in the moonlight strokes my eyes
So gentle and tender, you touch me
so I may see you with different eyes.

The wind blows and embraces me
So you hold me close, you touch me
I feel you like a fur,

The flowers smell like you
With the scent of rose, you touch me
The flower petals soft, feel like you,

The rain and hail, storm that rages
That washes over me, you touch me
I feel you here within my blood.

Awaiting Houyi: the Song of Cheng'E

A song is heard
In the dead of night
Her tears are shining in the sky so bright
Tears of star light
Her voice is delicate and drifts on the breeze
As a jade flute sounds in the Cold moon palace

Her weavings drape the icy halls in colors
Warming up the room
The smell of herbs and tonic flow throughout the silk laden halls

As the rabit with hair
as bright as precious jade
Works diligently making the immortal cakes

The sound of cheng'e is heard bouncing through the cold hallowed halls
As she hopes this year Her loved one returns

There she sits at her make up stall
Eyes painted with blue starlight

Rosy blush adoring lips.
She dresses in her best silk hanfu
Embroidered with the fenghuang and the longwu
And wears her moonlit crown high

As she waits for the bridge to be made again
To reunite with her beloved houyi

Tu es mon cœur, mon foufou, mon boubou.

Look What Got Me Searching

While looking at the full moon all a glow
I made a discovery that shook me to the bone.
A beautiful young oriental with a rabbit had
Me wanting to know
Of this person's woe
And why was she all alone?
While looking at the moon all a glow
I was wondering from here below
Who was this lady who was out of her zone.
A beautiful young oriental with a rabbit had
Me wanting to know.
How she got from to to fro.
I started a search on my phone
While looking at the full moon all a glow.
Her name is Chang-o her husband Hou-yi
Worked for the Jade Emperor as an archer
Who was rewarded with an immortal elixir.
While her husband was out hunting Peng Meng
Came to steal it even if he had to deal a death blow
He would have it. Surprise! Chang-o had backbone
This beautiful young oriental with a rabbit didn't
Let him know
She drank the elixir to over throw
Evil which immediately flew her and her pet
Rabbit to the moon to enshrine her as the goddess
Of the moon for which she is now known.
While looking at the full moon all a glow
A beautiful young oriental with a rabbit had me
Searching to know.

Premium Member The Lark Sings of Springtime Fair

The morning sky looks down through baby blues
Hydrating raindrops from oak leaves still drip
Ephemeral the morning petrichor
Lovely plumeria form garden's lei
A hummingbird pursuing nectar's zen
Resplendent morning glories wakening
Kwee-tu-whit the lark warbles, with soft lilt
Songs praising April's floral potpourri
It sings of May's perfume as roses bloom
Now June's romance as lovers coalesce
Growing silkworm devours mulberry leaf
Soft breeze conducts the leafy orchestra
Our maker's paintbrush casts aside ennui
Fair springtime floods our senses with each hour

Iets Wat Jy Klaar Gesteel Het

Gee my jou hand
Iets om vas te hou
Gee my jou hart
Iets om lief te he

Gee my jou lippe
Iets om myne besig te hou
Gee my jou wange
Iets om te maak bloos

Gee my jou voorkop
Iets om te soen
Gee my jou hare
Iets on my hande besig te hou

Gee my jou oë
Iets om in te verdwaal
Gee my jou alles
Want dis wat jy vir my is

Hier is my arms
Iets om om jou te vou
Hier is my skouer
Iets om op te lê

Hier is my lewe
Iets om beter te maak
Hier is my liefde
Iets om meer te maak

Hier is my wêreld
Iets om lig te gee
Hier is my ore
Iets wat sal luister

Hier is my gedagtes
Iets om in rond te hardloop
Hier is my hart
Iets wat jy klaar gesteel het

Nagbepaling

Wie waak oor ons gans die wakkernag?
Vind sondes.lank vergete
n aanklag eggo in die gewete
Dalk net stank demone
Wat slaaploos toi-toi in talle drome

Watter wekker skrik sy meester kaal
Wyl hy rondtol.in n lakenhel?
Skape, pennies en sy woorde tel
Of plak gebede saam met drome vas
Teen blank plafonne en die linnekas?
En ook skimme wat eens mense was
n vingerskrif op die klagstaat straf

Ander sluimer niksbeduidend
Wereld werk nog steeds misleidend
Introspeksie hou het geen verband
Onwelkom het net ingekom
Soos infeksie in n agtertand

Prokureur teem onbeholpe
'k kort n advokaat
n leuenverklikker wat moet wèèt waarvan hy praat
Opgetof en opgetoga en n omkoopmagistraat
Sinies en insomnies
naghof ronddool in n doodloopstraat

Dissiepels

Net soos Noag, David & Abraham
word dissiepels van die ware lam.
Net soos Johannes, Lukas of Filamon
of
wees dan net soos getroue Job,
die beste dienaar van onse God.

As jy is soos die kind van God,
dan hoop ek jy besef –
 jy’t ‘n baie groot job
Vertel die mense van onse
 PA.

Wees opreg soos ‘n duif,

Jy Het My Verander

Jy staan voor my
Die mooiste glimlag
Die reinheid van jou hart
Die skoonheid van jou siel

Die wind waai liggies
Jou hare is in my gesig
En jou wang is teen myne

Mag hierdie oomblik nooit weg gaan nie
Mag jy altyd hier bly
Mag ek jou altyd binne my arms veilig hou

Jou oë staar met liefde
Jou hart praat my taal
Jou lyf is teen myne

Alles het begin met 'n droom
Toe ek jou daar sien staan in die donker
Jy het alleen geloop
Toe was ek daar vir jou

Ek is verlief
My hart is gesteel
Ek is nie wat ek was nie
Jy het my verander met jou glimlag

Better To Have Loved and Lost

Have you no tongue? So faint of heart?
Go tell her there's no other
so wonderful, and that apart,
so very like her mother!
Declare your hand, say it out loud
and never mind the lingo.
Why hide your ardor in a cloud?
She'll be yours, by jingo!

"Ich liebe dich!," "O, je t'adore!"
"ik hou van jou!," " b'hubuk!"
But when you're prostrate on the floor?
And when she shows you to the door?
Don't lose your nerve, or run amuck,
read Tennyson for better luck.

Rodeheaver

Rodeheaver Name Meaning topographic name from Middle Low German roden, Middle High German roten ‘to clear’ + Middle High German hou ‘assart’, ‘area of forest assigned for clearing’. Alternatively, the second element may be an agent derivative of Middle High German houwen ‘to chop or cut down’, in which case the name is of occupational origin.

Interesting.
