how we can never truly estimate the value of time…
or put a price on a memory

Living with Critical Thinkers

“we estimate tomorrow’s rainfall to be between two and 88 inches.”
that weatherman’s bound to be right, I told my husband.
“not if it doesn’t rain,” he replied.
“Or if it rains less than two inches,” said my mother.
The perils of watching TV with two critical thinkers.

WONDER WOMAN GRANDMA

Justice alert
An Old Lady with strong Faith
Knows how to carry to great length
Didn’t have to spin to turn into Wonder Woman
Wonder Woman Grandma carried every day
A Mugger thought an Old Lady being an easy prey
He Forget to kneel and pray
The Mugger lurked and looked for an opportunity
It turned out to be a defeated reality
He attacked and Wonder Woman Grandma went into action just like that
She knocked him down
The Mugger went to the ground
He tried to attack a second time
Failed again and again
He didn’t know that Wonder Woman Grandma had Indian tribe blood origin
Full of courage, strength and keenness
The Mugger ran like a punk
Wonder Woman Grandma proved don’t under estimate an Old Lady
She packed more than just age
The punk was defeated full of rage
He got what he deserved because he didn’t behave
Forced to retreat
Got agony of defeat
The Wonder Woman Grandma is a true story
It’s my actual Grandma
A woman of wisdom
Living in God’s kingdom
High in the sky with my Grandpa
Wonder Woman Grandma
Strength in character
Standing for all Grandma’s all over the world
Hero
Victor story
Rewarded in Glory.

SILENCE

Helpless eyes that try hard to convey
a story buried inside...they strongly want to say
"Wait a little you will get a chance"
Time runs out but they don't get a chance
What else can they do...to mend their relationship
with the person standing forth....whom they highly respect
"APOLOGIZE AND MOVE ON" that's the best way out
Hushed once again without being able to raise voice!

The feeling of being misunderstood
is more than that of being hurt
by people who have 
the most regard in your heart
"If I speak a word, they might get hurt"
your thoughts revolve around this
statement that runs in your head....

But there is a famous saying
"Repetitions make you remember"
and so are the acts 
of being misunderstood,
And your apology going 
towards the other person
All this stays for long 
inside you somewhere
And fine day, out of nowhere
You might just be someone 
they may never estimate....

Voice Lessons

At forty, I hired a vocal coach.

My husband had taken up
a new friend—he swore it was platonic,
her name unimportant.

Upfront, she warned me
her rate for adults
was higher than for children—
a grown-up's capacity for change
isn't great, throat muscles
less pliable, even though
they usually want it more.

This isn't a story
of overcoming
diaphragmatic disadvantages
of mature voices in training,
just its cost.

I had one lesson wherein
she informed me
the price of admission
for her attention to my voice—
to get near the neighborhood
of up to par—
was double the original estimate.

It came with a guarantee
of no promises.
She wasn't a magician, she said.
To make me passable
at karaoke bars
would be an extra ten a session.

It was cheap, actually, easy
quitting those lessons—
quitting my husband.

I never wanted to be a pop star,
only to feel a knowing in my bones
that someone could still hear me.

Hallways

Why must there always be a sacrifice souring the taste of something nice
Just a moment on the lips but a lifetime on the back shelf of the mind
Taking up space you can’t afford 
You can barely pay your rent
Not enough to need to forgive but too much to forget
Maybe you are too kind
Wandering the hallways politely knocking on every door you find 
Quietly praying that what lies behind is something you can finally put behind 
The quest for answers usually begins with more questions 
But the beginning has long since passed us
And let’s admit that we’re really tired
And though you tried you know you can’t fix open wounds with plasters
So leave it open it’ll heal faster
Don’t romanticise the scars 
But remember to bathe in the beauty of the chaos
Because you are on your way to the stars
Even if your estimate was way off

I Guess

We possibly tried
I mean I guess we did technically try right
And I guess me being the way I am made it end
I also guess that none of it was your fault
Right?
I guessed it all
No one gave me answers 
No one gave me that chance of actually knowing what was happening 
Why didn't you let me fix it
Instead you let me estimate how much I meant to you
I had to guess mostly everything for our relationship 
I guessed that since I was mentally unstable I was the cause of failure 
But if you cared
If you even thought of me in anyway it would have been different 
But I guess I wasn't good enough for that
We will never know though
When all you have is predictions the fact can be hard to find
Guessing through life doesn't always make it right
I did never guess how much I loved you  and how much I cared
I knew
I knew I loved you even if it hurt others and I still do
I care
I wish you luck on your journey even though the predicament your in doesn't mean I will never see you again
When we are old and satirized I promise I will see you again
I will never guess on being with you before or after we die

Palestine

Palestine

Hamas fighters, the brave men and women who 
fights for a free Palestine have been killed in the Gaza Strip
together with wives and children.
And once again, Israel sinks in our estimate to a criminal state
this Jewish-occupied land lives on hatred and only exists
for the benefit of their own tribe and has nothing else to offer
in a world where the everlasting guilt of the Holocaust makes
the world is silent to atrocities committed in its hallowed name.
when the American gun culture, the right to wear arms kills
dozens in supermarkets and on the streets dripping blood
we can be sure of big headlights, but this horror turns to ashes
when seeing the steady drip of murdered Palestinians in what
can be called Holocaust with a long view.

Spreading Happiness

SPREADING HAPPINESS

Sharing is form of kindness, spreads Happiness.
People, usually surprised to receive. 
Readily appreciate, happy, and to be truthful,
Even more appreciated when we are the recipient! 
Always reminds us there is so much more, we certainly should
Do, can imitate the givers kindness. We can
Imitate their unselfishness. Experience truth of,  “more happiness in giving.”
Never, under estimate happiness of just being greeted with a,
"Good morning and how are you?"  Wow! Made them … smile.

Happiness comes from outside circumstances, people, stuff, etc.
And as said, gives unexpected Happiness.
Personally I value Joy, and I
Prefer it over Happiness. Joy springs from
Inside me! Independent on any outside influences, nice or not.
No one, nothing can rob me of my Joy, only me.
Easy to get caught up in daily survival, but Dear friend,
Someone’ somewhere is lonely, grieving, remember how that feels?
Send someone a card, text, or call.  Make someone happy … and God smile.

Endless

Endless- difficult to understand
when everything around us has an end.
All life on earth is destined to disband
with time and age- on that, we can depend.

We comprehend that most things are finite-
not only life- but what's constructed too.
For time corrodes to leave its deathly blight-
on sites that disappear from fields of view.

But endless is applied to those unknowns
that spin beyond our tiny Earthly realm.
The stars and cosmos offer secret zones,
as signs of endless spread- and overwhelm.

Still, to comprehend an endless state,
envisioning no borders that confine,
is hard to comprehend and estimate;
there is no end beyond its own design.

What if there was a box that held it all-
our Universe and others spinning on-
beyond that, what? Another endless sprawl?
We cannot vision endlessness as gone.

PARTNERS IN LIFE

Don’t loose your head,
When you come up in life,
The way you came up,
You can always go down.

Respect your partner in life
Your achievements are nothing
If you treat your partner like a dirt
It is what you are in reality- a dirt.

A person of good nature,
An honest God fearing person, 
Will never stoop to a level, 
To under estimate the partner.

Children watching you,
Will be penalised, 
Remember that and act,
Wisely and sensibly.

Forgiveness Still Prevail

No one repented for what they did to you.
You've been unhappy since that day.
As you're well aware, this is a major outdo.
Extricate yourself and admit their reply anyway.

They stranded, estimating you'll fall down.
This claimed partner just pawed you as prey.
Still, hate and gall won't let you go around.
Allow yourself to wane and accept him anyway. 

You feel ashamed when you look in the mirror.
You estimate your errors, nearly every day.
The pathway of living will indeed be clearer.
Even if you don't cause the fractures anyway.

Screw the rules of engagement.
Focus on target acquisition.
Fix range and bearing.
Estimate windage.
Calculate time on target.
Battery away. 
Commence fire.
Volley after volley.
Shot after shot.
Insult after insult.
Snide remark follows snarky jab.
Brutal comeback lands with a jolt.
Gas-lit accusations trip the NBC alarm.
F-bombs. C-words. Total devastation.
Just a typical conversation
Over no man’s land in the family room.
In a time of love and war,
All casualties are blue on blue.
