Ensnare Poems | Examples

I’m not saying we should overthrow the goverment

but there is more of us.

Pull out ever Tick

Four letters
..nickname of royal prince

….P…..E…..then something ….O
Doh the clue

America seriously I wish we could help
but we have our own Loonies to deal with

What rhymes with finesse
Every lioness

I think I would have been a great God
……well above average

I mean you say you can’t see him
2000 odd years ago all he could burn was a bush
Look at him know

And his son hasn’t left the house since
well we did put nails in him

Does a Jesus wig get made with criss cross hairs

We should start a trend
Guessing which sexual law
By which actor
While the director took a back handed

I would give dogs 10 lives
Ha cats you only have 9

One more word dog and it’s going to single
Dig gits they make me s………..
for at least a mile

What if there is nothing left to fix

My stare can look like a glare
But trust me I might be a wear/where/wer
wolf over there
Watch I ensnare
Arming every bear
Watch the flare
Bboy in the air
Only lacking
the ability
to
care.

Premium Member Confronting Shadows

Most shadows are good. When light hits a tree,
shade will encircle it. You can find
relief from the summer heat by
sprawling yourself on cool grass.
Embrace shade as your friend.
When shadows creep at
night, let them, with
stillness, lull
you to
sleep.
At
other
times, shadows
are metaphors
for sinister things
which envelop you like
black fog. If they ensnare you,
summon your faith; call upon God
with all your might. Confronting shadows
means stepping into the light of the Lord.

Premium Member Thought of the day

let’s look at life forms scattered across space
each of underlying truth unaware
trauma bonding with darkness soul’s disgrace
distanced from source by refusing to pair
dark desires continuing to ensnare
in an instant, if we’re not resistant
staid stillness makes ego nonexistent

Premium Member An Illicit Tryst

The sick and the injured had been his whole life
He’d never found time to ensnare a good wife
He’d slept with a patient and soon was arrested
“It just happened once,” to the court he attested

He’ll run no more x-rays, he’ll set no more bones
He’d made the mistake that no jury condones
No more operations, no drugs to dispense
The judge said, “The public demands recompense.”

“Your claim that it happened just once was complacent,
There is no excuse to lie down with a patient.
A long prison sentence is what you will get
Such a shame… for I hear you were quite a good vet.”

I hung a noose to the stars

Of then,
Smoke of a squandered summer morn
The barrel of a summer afternoon
And the spittle of the soundless shots of the stars within a summer eve
Homeless homage, tainted talent awaits to watch and berate
Wilting wonders to wound a heart the size of a horse
Hoarse to mourn the drowning drought of the mellow monnow
To drown the blessed sapphires of summer fever
With fevor and bloodied weather
And sleep on a velvet throw
Turn these demons and paralysis upon the stars
And stitch and tie and tighten
And wear aware of the consequence
And ensnare the stars aware of the darkness
Pay the fare to the ferry
And pretend not to hear the merry walks and dreary ends of life
Pretend not to tighten without the enticement of and ending life
Pretend not to sleep
Away and away and away
Further than the astral splurges of this
Life
Sleep with the intent of death
So death may bless the creaseless crown of my forehead
And sleep with his singular kiss forevermore

Ignite

An ember sparks. Two. Three
A whirlwind of flames surround me
Icy sagacity yields to the ravenous blaze
My heart falls
Betraying me
A flash. A face.
Slim, sharp, and angular. Perfectly imperfect
Twin kaleidoscopes ensnare my gaze
What color are they? Blue? Green? Both?
Silken strands of gilded bronze flow beneath my fingertips
Euphoria
Unspeakable bliss wars with disbelief
Black
Light shines behind my lids
I wake

Premium Member A Rose -

A rose as it grows has no cute little nose
Has no voice that can drive a man wild
Has no eyes to ensnare any man who looks there
Has no cheeks that might flush if he smiled

No saunter, no wiggle, no fun little giggle
No sharp and intelligent mind
No power to make any timid man wriggle
No humour, no shapely behind ;-)

No way to say yes to a white wedding dress
No way to agree to be mine
No way can a rose hold a candle to you
Though a rose can be rather divine

So a rose can coerce many men into verse
For a rose has its own beauty too
Yet a rose that you chose for your bouquet or hair
Shall take mere second billing to you

WE WERE ALL BORN TO BE GREAT

A spark within us, a flame that burns so bright
Guiding us forward, through life's darkest night
The voice whispers secrets, of a greatness yet unknown
A declaration that stirs the soul, and awakens us to our throne.

You, too, possess this greatness, a treasure yet untold
A light that shines within, a story yet to be unfold
Don't let the shadows of doubt, or fears that would ensnare
Hold you back from soaring, on the winds of hope and faith that's there.

Breathe in the essence of resilience, and let your heart be bold
Learn to rise above, to conquer and never grow cold
Sip from the cup of hope, and let its sweetness revive
And when the storms of fear assail, let courage be your shield and guide.

Erase the word "impossible" from the canvas of your mind
And paint instead a masterpiece, of "I can," "I will," and "I am divine"
You are great, and greatness awaits, just beyond the horizon's bend
So rise, dear one, and claim your birthright, your greatness that will never end.

In the forest where the trees glow,
Shimmering stars shine, a stunning show.
Mesmerizing marvels in an idyllic, calm flow,
Cheerful gifts gathered gently in a row.

Blanketed children in wonder and cheer,
Gingerbread cookies, sweet flavors near.
Iced in crimson, green, festive atmosphere,
Sprinkles of joy as Santa draws near.

A sleigh with bells that jingle and run,
We gather as families, our hearts are full of fun.
Celebrating traditions, our spirits as one,
In the warmth of the holiday, we bask in the sun.

Shimmering ivory pearls in moonbeams,
Gentle lullabies that soothe all our dreams
Chalked memories drift in a crystalline stream,
In hopes that our love will forever gleam.

Though jaded vials may drip with despair,
We find elixirs of hope in the air.
Sick veins may quiver, dreams still ensnare,
As impending fate reminds us we care.

Premium Member Which Way Is Home?

Life's compass denies me its' stare
Forgotten time knows not the where
Directions stripped themselves bare
To loiter under red streetlight glare

The music stopped to steal my chair
Stranded intersection left to ensnare
With penitent sorrow acting the spare
What's left of reason festers the unfair

Please God: Hear my humbling Prayer
Guide me to realms of endless frontier
Cast away Roundabouts that don't care
Let me be drawn to your loving Fanfare

Premium Member Debts and Obligations

Dreams come in all shapes and sizes
As we shift in the night
Side to side, back and forth
Weaving a path
That takes us in and out of ourselves
A self struggling to get right
And make it right, always and only
With itself.

These debts and obligations
Follow us everywhere
As our baggage and shadow
Weighing us down
Keeping feet on the ground
While making spirits soar
In dreams
Of freedom, liberation and redemption
For, from and to
This relentless Creator
This pervasive Self
Embodied like a host of so many Tar Babies
To engage and ensnare
But in the end
Spur us on to survive
In the briar patch
Of our own little fables.

All the while the Dream
Continues to morph
As we toss and turn,
Waking again and again
Peeling layer after layer
To deliver us in the end
Not so much from evil
But simply to
The chance
To try again.

The Eyes Of Aggy

Was it her face the mist belies
The glow of green held piercing eyes
These woods I dare to walk this night
Are shimmered still by fear and fright

When Aggy lived and walked the earth
Her eyes were rumored since her birth
To hold the power of a witch
To summon darkness, black as pitch

Should you be lured into her lair
                     Within her voodoo to ensnare
Her bidding then forevermore
Your fate to follow, fast and sure

Yet through the woods, this Hallow’s Eve
Despite the mist sent to deceive
I risk where she is known to dwell
Where eyes of Aggy cast their spell

Ethos Arbitrage

Emoted investment
dividends high
Buying then selling
as spirit contrives

Unlimited resource
consciousness fares
In debits and credits
— whose riches ensnare

Parlor Fresco

On the parlor wall, a canvas frame
Adorned with whispers of a fascist game
A warped impression, born of decadence and sleep
The perfect lie, where dreams and nightmares creep

A stenciled girl with eyes of distant gray
A masquerade of innocence, in every way
Her beauty is a snare, a trap to ensnare
The unsuspecting heart, with promise and with care

But I see through the veneer, the artful disguise And in the darkness, I find my compromise

On the parlor wall, a perfect crime
A '68 FBI wanted poster, faded design
A lazy Vargas pinup spread her thighs
But I see only the thrill of pale, painted lies

The Mona Lisa's smile, a ruse and a birth
A masquerade of irony, dancing on moth- eaten earth She hides her truth, a promise kept from sight As I piss on the pyre, the charade takes flight

Premium Member Trapped by Thoughts

An eaglet raised with barnyard birds
will never soar to towering heights.
Though armed with wings designed for flight
It will never reach soaring height.

Thoughts are like wings designed to soar
They’re active every waking blink.
But how you choose to use your wings
can help you cope with what life brings.

So many souls are trapped by thoughts
Of worthlessness and “Never will.”
The hurtful words that they were told
like prison bars, their thoughts still hold.

Sad thoughts trap those who are depressed,
these thoughts like weights, press on their chest.
Dark thoughts like clouds hanging so low,
seem bent on snuffing out life’s glow.

Self-centered thoughts ensnare the vain
and bind them with a galling chain.
These selfish thoughts leave ugly scars
and traps the soul within their bars.

When men with minds greedy for gain
and thoughts of wealth possess their brain,
many do things that are insane
to satisfy their thirst for gain.

If you do not control your thoughts
they will one day bind you with knots.
Let noble thoughts your mind adore
and they will make your spirit soar.
