Premium Member I Accidentally Let One Loose

I accidentally let one loose -
I was tipsy and had no excuse
It happened at the rare breed’s zoo
When I decided to cuddle a cute kangaroo

As I crept into the fenced off enclosure
I struggled to maintain my composure
The joey leapt past me, I just couldn’t stop it
as it bounded away like a flaming rocket!

I tried to catch it by grabbing hold of its tail
but I slipped on a grape, and let out a loud wail
I could see the joey bounce away into the distance
It was clear I needed professional assistance

I got the attention of the kangaroo warden
She turned on me like a demented gorgon
and shouted at me, the air turned quite blue
as we both chased after that small kangaroo

The footloose joey demanded more intervention
His keeper spluttered words too rude to mention
The kangaroo bounced away at lightning speed
We needed to ensnare it, the keeper decreed

We were joined in the chase by the local vet
who used a long pole, on the end was a net
He managed to place it over the joey’s head
Soon joey was captured and locked in his shed

I tried to apologise until I was puce in the face
But they wouldn’t listen, said I was a disgrace
As a result of my action I’m banned from that zoo
I guess I won’t get to cuddle a baby kangaroo

Implant Within me a Seed

Implant within me a seed monthly, though the pulverization derides me. Let it conjure hope and solace to shatter my reality as venomous weeds entwine it, sickening me as I lay still in the liquid birthed from my own fruit. Implant within me a seed; let the feral roots ensnare it, suffocating my every breath and cell until it ruptures--obliterated within my frail and aching tree. It be destined to return but stripped of the avant-garde its predecessor once possessed. Implant within me a seed; it’ll part for months, leaving my psych mangled as blood seeps through trypophobic perforations crafted solely by its hand. The seed, thriving as I decay, renders its final blow the day we die. Implant within me a seed; force it into a sanctum where it does not belong, and let fate, warped and distorted, contort my marred soul. That which I once refused to acknowledge shall now delude my senses, forcing me to reach for those who feel not love but only pity for my aberrant roots. Implant within me a seed; let me perish within its absence, yet perpetually suffer under its presence. Wound me with my own creation.

Your end creates you
It will return to rip you
Plant it, watch it die

Expose the Naked Truth

In sheep's clothing they infiltrate, call you mate, lie in wait;
these sly wolves who seek to harm and disarm with charm.
It's a clever deed, founded in greed and meant to mislead.
Their nakedness would reveal the heart of steel they conceal.

Search behind the glint in their eyes to see their lies and alibis
Strip vile ones naked of that pseudo smile, glimpse their guile
Lay bare the amiable mask they wear. They will dare to ensnare.
Don't be naive and believe words spewed by those who decieve.

It's not uncouth to play the sleuth and expose the naked truth
of those who stalk and walk about while praising with sweet talk.
Don't be a fool thinking they're cool. It's a heap of wolfen stool.
Be shrewed! Denude the lewd ones so you don't get screwed.

Under the Waterfall

Wings flutter
     off in the distance
as I shuffle through these stones,
tasting the energy trapped in each,
scouring my lands
         for my lost crystal,
that which can mend
what I’ve torn asunder.

In frustration
   I abandon my quest,
deciding to find
     my feathery deity,
the wind carries her scent to me
and I head Northeast,
  diving through brush
          and dodging trees
like only a Lycan may.
She must have picked up on my intentions
for I sense her
  heading towards me
so I veer more northward,
   there’s a place I know.

As I draw near
   you can hear water
      cascading off rocks,
when I arrive the moon is up,
clouds curled beneath it
as if it were a white pearl
  resting on gray cushions,
to the right
   the beginnings of a river
being fed by the waterfall,
about 80’ tall
  careening off the three
stone outcroppings
and filling the air in the clearing
with a fine mist,
 the left is ringed
by long needled pines
which have supplied the ground
with a soft cushion.

My winged beauty
lands on the third outcropping
whipping her hair back
under the waterfall’s edge.
I sprint to the water’s shore
and leap to the first,
as my claws connect
bound to the second,
paws touching
   then legs thrust me
to the third
where I bring myself erect,
   better to ensnare my love
within my arms.

As I bring her close to me
she raises her left hand up
and caresses my muzzle and cheek
with her claws,
I bend downward
    and gently
sink my teeth
into the side of her neck,
she springs off the precipice ,
    me entwined,
and glides down to the pine needle bed.

As we land
  she pushes herself up,
drags her right claw
down my chest
     and leans in to drink.
I drag one nail along
    each shoulder blade
and let her blood
   drip down on me
while I lick my claws clean.

After hours
   she crashes down
into my chest,
exhaustion settling in.
I cup my hand around the back of her head,
   hair entwined
in my fingers
and as she uses her wings
to blanket us
we drift off
into a pleasant slumber
while the stars blink at us
and the night creatures
serenade us with their calls.

He speaks of sunken treasure
Draws maps to fortunes you may find
He writes it boldly as to where it may lie
Taking pleasures in his masculine pride
A gentleman cultivated in artistry
Loving lavishly he knowingly struts
Boosting his flirtatious ego
His moves, planned, calculated
To arise primal pumping blood
Eyes that manipulate and conspire
Until your dreams become endless desire
He breathes a burning fire
Embers embedded within
Unsuspected your caught within his grasp
Words uttered to ensnare
He persuades you in a game of trust
Leads you into passion and lust
Making you believe in sunken treasures

All Hallow's Moon

Oh souls that brave All Hallow's moon
whose shadowed face would bid us swoon.
We stare upon your ghostly veil
a-flight on twilight's empty trail.

And yet, we delve where darkness daunts
to fathom mystery, know what haunts
our souls when comes October-tide,
where fear and anguish both abide.

Each hidden passage, road or rill
we spy while walking makes us chill.
Gray shadow wings on ghostlike trees
make heart and footsteps quickly freeze.

All pathways lead where horrors thrill.
The heart is numbed as is our will.
Frail steps draw close toward the lair
where phantom talons might ensnare.

How long until we're safely home
free of this mental catacomb?
These questions spin within our head
as we trek fully gripped by dread.

How do souls flee such grievous fright?
Oh moon, postpone our dreadful plight.
Deliver us to warmth and home
from black enigmas in the gloam.

Ensnare My Heart

"Ensnare My Heart"

By M. Taha Effendi

(Ballad)

O beautiful maiden of my captive heart,
Are you not the lone bard's pompous muse?
With allure that inspired the divine art,
Heavens' hand made you with such delicate use,

What sweet circumstance upon me befalls,
My heart the endearing perfidy has plotted,
Entombed in my bosom, it beats to your calls,
Loves beyond reason the heart besotted,

Let my soul swoon at your eternal beauty awhile,
Mesmerize by sheer fineness of your chiseled cheek,
Beguile by crimson roses that adorn your seraphic smile,
Savor in you the beauty of which poets speak,

Your eyes are gleaming lagoons of preserved vintage,
Shades the cerulean ocean from their depths did lease,
The jealous eye of heaven envies your radiant visage,
The blushing moon embarrassed cowers beneath the seas,

Would you shelter me in your silken veil perchance?
That imbue elation in those who wander in its shade,
And sways to cadence of zephyrs in an eternal dance,
To invoke dark urges of soul with a sublime serenade,

In the Beginning

In the beginning God created the heavens and earth
And some think it all came by chance, what a big mirth
That life arose by itself from chemical soup and from it birth
Soup formed by unceasing rain on the volcanic hearth
For this theory came when none knew the complexities of life or its worth
Formulated by those who deliberately ignore God's love and incur his wrath
For the advances of science and genetics proclaim this theories dearth

Over the earth His Spirit did brood
He spoke again and it happened
In His wisdom all well designed and good
Life in all its different kinds rampant
Every part in its place and functioning as it should

Then God formed man by His own hands
In His own image created He him
He gave him control over all the lands
And home in a garden with fruits to the brim
And a companion Eve as satisfied not animal friends

Eat of all fruits but not of wrong and right
The serpent came and Eve did ensnare
Eve saw the fruit was desirous to the sight
For of the enemy's deceit she was not aware
They did eat and to creation brought blight

Can't blame the fruit on the tree but the human pair
Of their nakedness they now became aware
The creation cursed and in despair
So His only beloved Son, God sent to repair
And for himself a holy people prepare

And if all this you know and are aware
Then God wants you with others share
And to really love others and care
And lift them to God in prayer
That all turn from sins and to God everywhere

Brotherhood of Man

Is it possible to envision a world without warfare?
"Nothing to kill or die for."* No dangers to ensnare.
Imagine living in harmony, where no one does wrong.
There'd no longer be the need to sing Lennon's song.

Imagine a peaceful planet, whirling about in space.
Can you see yourself as part of a new human race?
Sharing everything without need for avarice or greed.
No countries or rulers, for mankind shares one creed.

Can you imagine no hunger, nor plagues bringing death?
Living among each other on Earth and taking a breath
without toxins polluting the air, and no need to pop a pill.
"I wonder if you can,"* see a world sans weapons that kill.

It's 'a brotherhood of man'* coalesced in complete unity,
Earth, an allied planet, lands filled with golden opportunity.
All totally cognizant that coexistence is worth striving for.
'Imagine,' known as a foreshadowing of what was in store.

Perhaps that Utopian way of life exists only in a dream,
But what if Lennon's lyrics did not seem to be extreme?
Would his visions of tomorrow still be called 'hyperbole?'
Til then, mortality of all earthborn remains a sad reality.

Narcissus

How deeply Ameinias loved you
The beauty that your face adorned.
The adoration you thought your due
The love of youth you lightly scorned.

As consolation a sword you gave
A paltry gift for such devotion.
You did not care for grief so grave
Derision stoked the devastation.

That sword robbed him of his life
In bitter despair he cried in tears,
"May you one day feel the knife
Of unrequited love that sears!"

In the pool you saw a boy so fair
Felt the fire kindled in your mind,
In awe at such beauty you did stare
Love that will so ensnare and bind.

To seduce this boy in tender kiss
you found reflection in the pool.
Ah Narcissus, how did you miss
Loves sweet embrace in waters cool.

You killed yourself in deep despair
Unrequited love that burn until,
The body that once was so fair
Transformed into a dancing daffodil.

So listen young lovers, hear my plea
Be careful when young love you scorn.
Remember Narcissus, when in spring you see
How daffodils the chilly earth adorn.

Sonnets of Tyranny and Freedom

Some say mankind’s a blight upon the Earth
That left alone would be a paradise
But sucks its blood and lays on it a curse
Destined to burn or freeze in waste of ice

Cassandra voices preach in latter days
To craven souls, increasing sad despair
In strange alliance then they focus gaze
On tide of opportune chance to ensnare

Emotions raised from hopelessness to rage
Seduced by siren songs assuring virtue
Awarding promises of guilt assuaged
Enabling dominion, cancel, curfew

But do all men to tyranny conspire
Does nature lone and wild itself admire

               **************
Yet there are those perhaps in greater number
With faith, they constitute a wider legion
Then true virtue and goodwill, now in slumber
May be awakened to become a beacon

Unmired in apathy of victimhood
We humans coexist, sister and brother
With all parts of existence, spurred for good
In co-creative hand, one with another

The world we know, we play part in begetting
Perhaps as agents all, of Providence
A diverse panoply conveys our setting
With free choice to make certain its defence

No! tyranny need not unchecked conspire
Our world could prove a backcloth to admire

I know my love gets you high
But can I string you along?
With nothing but my sweet song?
Oh, where does your heart belong?

I’m aware that I can please
Will the magic go away?
In the hum drum of each day?
When I can’t find words to say?

I’m aware I can entice
But will beauty soon wear off?
Seductive charm not enough?
Neglected when life gets tough?

I’m aware that I can sooth
But will comfort satisfy?
When life asks the question, “Why?”
Will your heart my love deny?

I know that I can be sweet
Do other flavors entice?
Will you crave a hotter spice?
Just want "naughty" and not "nice"?

I know that I satisfy
But why must you overeat?
Need another type of sweet
Not satisfied with ONE treat?

I know I can liberate
Will she your heart ensnare?
Will her passion take you “there”?
While body and soul you bare?

I’m aware that I can please
But will her bright eyes beguile?
Mesmerized by her coy smile
Will you ignore me a while?

I know your heart likes to play
Will my heart faithful remain?
What is there for me to gain?
Except…a heartful of pain?

I wonder, will you regret?
The risk you took in this game?
Does my body hold your claim?
Will my heart treat you the same?

How To Entice a Rose

Tame your wish to unfasten
the shut bud ‘til she’s willing!
Give her sweetest thoughts of spring.
Attract her, softly thrilling
with your words and compliments.

If the sprout of rose is closed
you need gentle kindheartedness.
Warm alluring breath of love
may touch cheek with such caress
that first petals open slow.

Now ensure her - and yourself –
that there is no other one
that deserves such attitude
under shining moon and sun
no one that compares to her.

But you have to say the truth
or you will feel painful thorn.
If you do, you’ll see delight
Beautiful as dusk and dawn
when the rose unlocks herself.

Ensnare the ears with kindness,
enmesh with care her splendor.
Cautions stroke her fears away!
Then may your fingers tender
detach the outer casing.

Coat the rose with water drops
from your lips – fresh summerkiss
over body, mind and soul.
Feel with beating heart the bliss
when the trembling bud unclench’s.

Shivering the petals spread
ample to receive delight.
Open are the calyx’s thighs
that entangled day and night
the straight erected carpel.

Lamentable You

Hell seemed to encompass the land
As I watched him holding your hand
For a moment I was happy for you
And then my shameful heart gave way

Earth longed to suck me in its waters
Above fellow demons and their hollers
We rue the day we ever existed
Longing for the touch of human flesh

We were trained to eat at your souls
To fill your poor deprived holes
With filth and emaciated sin
Slithering within…bellowing within…

And when I look at him I know he’s yours
I should have seen it coming of course
You never wanted a nothing like me
And someone is to blame I see

The voices in your head made you cower
You once were awed by my power
But now the beauty of love has destroyed us
I am nothing, and he is yours

Take her you bastard of a fool!
I don’t need anyone, for I will rule
I will rule over her vessel
And mark me, she will detest you!

Remarkable as she is you will leave her
While I in the darkness keep her
But for now I’ll lie in wait
For the perfect time to ensnare

Let go of his hands
And allow this heart a chance
Let the man lose his compass
Only to stumble upon a new woman

Oh, lamentable you!
I force your love to be true
Kiss me, my hate—my love, you fool!
He’s never coming back for you!

Because you are not special
You belong to nobody—nothing!
And you shall find
That you were always… MINE.

....Stealing Souls....

Hues of a darker shade, cascading across skies of illusion....

Evaporating waterfalls, of lustful desires and want

Brought forth amid fairytale words, from within fantastical thoughts

And I thought, shall I sell my soul, for their very own, desperate and lost?

I would rather smile at the stars, and, walk away from it all!

Then to ensnare myself within satans lies and delusions....

Of disappearing phantasms, that shall never see the light

Beyond these shadows of alluring and enticing, beguile

Cloaked in the dripping blood, red, of eternal fate

How precious and colorful, vibrant the flower seems to grow....

Before the desperate eyes, cast, into the darkness' chambers

As it whispers its soothing, and wistfully wanton assurances?

While sprinkling its fabricated moondust, upon these emptying souls....

Walking through this mystic wonderland of waste

Wherein shadows beckon and call, dangling their dreams of desirable

Treasures and promises, that their blackened hands, could never truly hold

Except, in these fantasies of tomorrows nothingness....

While singing these songs of hopeful yearnings, that they, shall never know!

Perishing, within the firey flames, that engulf, their abrasive sight

As pretending to be more, than satans very own, offspring

Stealing lives and shattering souls, with lovely portraits that sound

So ambitiously sweet, until, reality comes, to carry them forever away....

Not upon spectacular prisms of golden rainbows, or endless oceans, of emerald blue tides

Nor, glittering cosmic trails of stardust, which encircle, their gasping final breaths!

But within rushing rivers of sorrows crimson, cold....

Trading their eternal paradise, for a fairytales devisable fantasy, sold

To a ghost of sugar laced words, spoken, enticingly, from the tombs of a corpse

Pretty thoughts and pretty things, created, by the prince of hell, himself!
