Some wanted a mock monarchy
most were in favour of democracy
those who liked lawless preferred anarchy
few voted authoritarian
all with shifting goals, tipsy objectives
too many hands holding too many spoons
clashing in a hot soup pot, like blot bots
veggies ended in rotting heaped up coup !

My kitchen will hold the key,
love like warm oven brie.
Too many cooks here so flee,
this is my holiday plea.
Only one needed cook bee,
with dinner and hot tea.
The broth must not taste like the sea,
but with a touch of glee.
Too many voices cloud the clear design,
A single vision holds a better line.
When all attempt to steer the simple dish,
It fails to satisfy the hungry wish.
Adds a spice, a pinch, brings new ideas,
Until the true intention disappears.
The pot becomes a muddled, failed affair,
A consequence that no one wants to bear.

God sees evil people dining on,
their vile imagination’s cooking.
Knowing all events to be bygone,
and thinking that God isn’t looking.
Could careless Carla cook a cake
her daughter Dora would adore
then feed to friends at Friday's feast,
which celebrates school's student-stars?
Her daughter Dora would adore
if cooking Carla could come through
and bake without the batter burned
then feed to friends at Friday's feast
a cake concocted carefully
to make more merry midday's meal,
which celebrates school's student-stars.
So care, took Carla, crafting cake ...

I love farming and cooking
do you love farming?
Never in my lifetime have I seen,
In any of the places I have been,
So many who have an infinite supply of steam,
Who to stir the pot are keen.
Day or night they are to be seen,
Discussing the best way to stir the pot clean,
Never asking for a bean,
And recruiting for free those who seem to have enough steam,
To help them stir up interest in a new dream,
Which should be good for cooks everywhere it would seem,
As they awaken those whose stir is more mean.
So, to cooks everywhere who keen,
To find places for their spoons to lean,
And a hook for their aprons that are clean,
They can sell their washing machine for more than a bean,
And the dishwasher as well now that pots are stirred clean,
By those who are only just working up steam,
Enough to score the jackpot of which they dream.
I met a man whose name was Dan
He used a bird to cook on pan
Pan was cheap so bird got burnt
A lesson that he learned
Use a better bird, said the man
Terry did not mind doing dishes until Doogie moved in
He liked to cook and made messes that were up to her chin
I never clean a pot or pan he said, bragging about it.
After a while she stopped doing dishes and pitched a big fit.
But he cooks! Her roommate Melanie said, and that’s great right?
Terry rolled her eyes, and planned to move out; she did not like to fight.
Within a week she was gone, she left the two bozos a little note.
He snored horribly too, she told her mother “like an overgrown goat!”
annoying cat cooks are whining in the kitchen
you can hear them from the front door
I don’t want to go in there to hear all their ’n.
I have gone in there too many times before
why do you always hire the cats? I ask my sister.
I know the truth actually, she cannot resist a whisker.
She is in love with every cat the second it comes by.
I don’t know, she admits, giving me a heartfelt sigh.
I go into the kitchen and they yell “The witch! The witch is in!”
Pretty ironic, when you realize I am my sister’s identical twin.
Get this party started, and stop fighting or you are fired!
They start straightening up, even though I am not the one who hired.
Too many cooks, who should never look to cook,
Too many cooks, who should never start to cook,
Too many cooks, who should never be paid to cook,
Too many cooks, without any recipes to cook,
Too many cooks, without any clues to cook,
Too many cooks, without any boots to cook.
Too many cooks, with drugs to cook,
Too many cooks, with books to cook,
Too many cooks, with storms to cook.
Too many cooks, that have no stomach to cook,
Too many cooks, that have no energy, to cook,
Too many cooks, that have no food to cook.
Too many cooks, who are too ill to cook,
Too many cooks, who are too frightened to cook,
Too many cooks, who are forcing me to cook.
Ms. Cooks loves to cook
As she designs and creates some of her dishes
Specialties and fancy dinners
Prepared for the elegancy
Ms. Cooks is a young entrepreneur
One-day shall have her own business too
As she works hard with a busy task
As her journey is everlasting
She cooks with a great passion
Breakfast, lunches, dinners and more
Home-made cakes and pies for show
Busy and busy as one can be
No time for the drama you see
Ms. Cooks, a special love goes out to you
Keep on pursuing the gifts, with all that you do
More Blessings as you continue your journey
All will pay off as you are the one and only
The older you get the more of learnings.

If a broth can be spoiled
By too many cooks
That advice can, as well, be applied
To a patient consulting
With too many docs
To determine what problem's inside.
Each one hopes he can help
But conflicting reports
Put the questioner into a tizzy
And the tests and the labs
And the visits combine
To add one more new symptom - that's dizzy.
Frustration and pain, though,
In tandem, demand
A solution that might not be easy.
Still, stepping on somebody's
Toes may result
In discomfort that borders on queasy.
To let other Poets into your kitchen
