Too Many Cooks

If a broth can be spoiled 
By too many cooks
That advice can, as well, be applied
To a patient consulting 
With too many docs
To determine what problem's inside.

Each one hopes he can help 
But conflicting reports 
Put the questioner into a tizzy
And the tests and the labs 
And the visits combine
To add one more new symptom - that's dizzy.

Frustration and pain, though,
In tandem, demand
A solution that might not be easy.
Still, stepping on somebody's
Toes may result
In discomfort that borders on queasy.

Jan Allison August 9, 2019 at 12:55 PM Hope everything is ok Ilene, I can relate as when hubby was diagnosed with cancer we had 3 courses of treatment available each doctor was confident theirs was the best option - we went down the surgery line as the other 2 treatments didn't give hubby a second bite of the cherry so to speak and we were lucky as 5 years down the line he needed radiation treatment but all is good now:-) hugs Jan xx
