Conqueror Of My Dreams

There is a mystical place from far beyond,
A realm where no and every man is known,
That’s the place where I used to be queen,
Until the Conqueror Of My Dreams entered the scene.

There was no bloodshed, no battle,
In the Kingdom of my Dreams,
Cause when he made my silent heart rattle,
I knew the war was lost before it even begin.

So I let him, I let him have the power,
He could even lock me in a dark, haunted tower,
As long as he will never forget to be there,
An eternal though that causes my heart to tear.

But I don’t believe he would throw me to the wolves cause I’ll let him,
The one who visits me every night when I go to sleep,
Where we can meet, in my kingdom that he conquered,
A safe haven for the two of us to try to keep.

So everyday when I get the chance,
I’ll go back to the place full of mysteries in between,
And I hope I can throw a just glance,
Or maybe meet the Conqueror Of My Dreams.

all things can be done through Christ - Phillipians 4:13

 defying seemingly insurmountable odds
 a self-destructive, long-time drug addict
revived from an overdose a few times
many people had mustard seed faith
in her chances of defeating her demons,
but by the grace of the Lord, she did.
 despite towering mountains of obstacles,
she managed to make a full recovery
isn't this what resilience looks like?

SILENT CONQUEROR

It begins in the neck
Then leads to the heart
Or maybe the reverse is true
It doesn't matter
Because it's the process
That makes it impossible to renew

Your neck is on the line
Yet it's the head that goes
Rolling down the track
That had it grow

Power, Power, Power
Men doth always seek power
No matter how it comes
Sacrifices must be made
New enemies forged
In the blood river that runs

...to death

Hmmm...in conquering that fear
One must become black breath
Willing to sever all ties
And pass through a million deaths

I see you sitting on the throne
In white halls and houses
Acting as king
Yet nothing of growth
Can be seen in your vines
That only the void brings

...to light

So sad to constantly die
And yet never lived
No experience of humanity
Can be seen in your sieve

No matter, no matter
The war is won
And your stiff neck is done
The power gained
Could never remain
Because there is nothing new under the son

Cancer

CANCER

It began as a swelling
Localized swelling
Painless at first
Then painful

Then came a period of recession
Oh!
What a sweet relief
Wellness reigns again

Then again the swelling
Only bigger now
Persistent
Bigger
And bigger

They say its cancer
And it has come to stay
No cure, they say

The cancer has metastasized
Through lymphatic vessels
To distant regions
Where it eventually
Commits apoptosis.

The conqueror
Has conquered itself
Relief for the conquered
Succour has come
Finally.

Premium Member The Blood of An Englishman

I smell the blood of an Englishman
fresh from the womb--- umbilical snip.
Ingloriously clad, illegitimate lad,
appointed for leadership.

I smell the blood of an Englishman,
and, lo, his enemies are slain.
High on the saddle, mighty in battle,
as England's new king he would reign.

I smell the blood of an Englishman,
the odor of bloat and remorse.
With moans and cries, no more he'd arise;
The clock is a powerful force.

I smell the blood of an Englishman;
William's vigor flows through my veins.
His blood is my own, line of the throne---
one of more than five million names.

Commercial Conqueror

Customers receiving, head aching
But toothily smiling, voice quaking;
Far into the night candles burning,
While he could feel his tummy churning…

Chains of enterprises he’s running,
Much energy burning, mind cunning…

At Eleven PM starts packing
But up keeps to ‘A’ Must’ no slacking;
Goods once spread now behind doors of wood:
A face sure tomorrow shall be good!

That’s Cohen for you: The Conqueror,
Never The Made To Make An Error;
Though side by side he’d stayed with terror,
Now glimpsing the normal, soon horror!

For reply bursting into laughter,
So that host saw not the new chapter
“For life I’ll remain in foreign land:
Back home profit will never be grand.”

Premium Member The Conqueror Worm

Of course, all straights are bent
our rotary motion

the further back we travel in
space, the greater the arc
apparent

even our words are subject to gravity

inclined toward earth, absorbed
long before eternity

some mine for jewels
I uncover the promises kept
and unkept...lies and truths
compacted to indistinguishable
masses – buried

with the bones of those who spoke them
absent lips and breaths

but a disgruntled grave digger I am not

just an insatiable book-worm

regurgitating my volume of Poe

The Conqueror Wants To Be Conquered

Forgive the beastliness
As born with, earth-sired;
Charges, unchallenged, thereaft
Conditioned, earth-mired.

Woman, soft eyed, soft voiced
Know this, pitieously
What each such, a man at heart
Seeks out, needily.

Against these advances
Appeals to soothe, tame
Resistless, have worship-dropped
Gods of warring fame!

The Conqueror

A cuddled baby will eventually attempt to walk
A fragile seedling can sprouts through rocks
A brittle egg perched at tree tops is fearless of height
Knowing it will leave its nests on its very first flight

As a youth you at the crossroads of opportunities of life
Don’t allow your choice of the road become a strife
It is all about the belief in whatever route you decide
And courage to blow the horn and begin the ride

The growing trees are the ones that make the thicket
The blowing winds are the ones that precipitate
The flowing streams are the ones that head to the sea
The growing youths are the ones that live to be

Time is your ally to learn
Energy is your fuel to burn
Your dream is your value
Your youth is your virtue

Storms rage before you, waiting for a pacifier
Deserts thirst before you, waiting for an eco-warrior
Mysteries and puzzles wait for an interpreter
Castles stand before you waiting for a conqueror

Premium Member More Than a Conqueror

The world is a mystery
As I ride through its many tribulations
I hold my head up and high
For Jesus has overcome for me

God chooses what I go through
How I go through it is my choice
No force can supersede the plan of God for me
Only I can torpedo His will in my life

He knows I am weak by myself
And so fortifies me with His Grace
Most sufficient for the race
Therefore, I am more than a conqueror

Every day I take control of my attitude
Cause my circumstances are way beyond me
I live minutely in His Grace
His plan for me will surely materialize

Conqueror

W-ith hope and firm faith,
I-t's the brave heart that achieves
N-othing but triumph.
