Premium Member Quagmire

A quagmire is a soft, murky bog that shakes
or yields underfoot.
In other words, a swamp,
that is imbued with sticky mud:
where progress is slow,
for it's easy to get stuck.

A quagmire is also a synonym
for an unpleasant, constrictive situation;
which is not easy to escape from.
Look around; we are stuck
in a swamp of greed and hate,
a quagmire of our own making.

Bigotry is a by-product of manufactured fear,
as the blood of innocents sullies our souls.
And we are sinking into conformity;
stuck in the quicksand of complacency.
The hope of change is strictly rationed to the masses,
while tightly controlled by a few.

We are born as a cog in a system
designed to extract individualism,
and replace it with compliance.
Thereby keeping us stuck within the very gears,
that are grinding us down.

We need to drain that political swamp,
even though its alligators are always on patrol.

Premium Member The Joy of Your Life

Happiness is a life-caring feature
A feeling appealing and good
Because of the kindness we show to each creature
We know that we live as we should

But every right function is done over time
For the sake of the good that we do
And every tall mountain is such a good climb
For the sake of the summit in you

The service we give to the cause of creation
Is great for the virtue inside
And how we must live for the pause of elation
Reflects on our purpose and pride

But as the by-product of love and success
And not the fulfillment of such
Happiness lives by the wrongs we address
And not as our purpose so much

The purpose of life is to live by our caring
With kindness, compassion, and thought
For joy is fulfillment and subject to daring
To be what our passion is not.

Premium Member The Oak Tree

A gnarled lone oak tree
grew in the middle of voluminous nowhere,
amidst vast stretches of citron corm fields,
a by-product of an old man’s weird whim.
It proved quite a memorable playground,
For when I was small it was pure delight.
Oh how I loved to climb up
towards an azure sky
feeling for sturdy branches,
imbibing the smell of fresh-grown leaves.
At times I would listen to the wayward wind,
as it moaned in isolation
amidst lush green branches.
Yet when storms struck
I shied away as the winds howled
and thunder rumbled around the top twigs
of my old oak tree.

The last time I was there
I was not alone.
Handsome was tagging along.
He was not interested in the old oak tree
That's when I began to hate him.
And just to prove my point
a sudden change of weather
and heavy rain fell hard.
We ran to the car but the doors stuck.
To shelter under the tree was dangerous.
Lightening zigzagged above.
The place became cursed.
Finally Handsome opened the car
and we sped away.

I never met Handsome nor visited the oak again.

Elation In Vocation

Show sincerity in the job you do,
Know how to do the job properly,
Slow, but steady must happen,
Grow by using sheer hard-work

Learn the trade by using care,
Earn every Rupee justifiably,
Turn every stone to achieve,
Burn like the Sun while working

Feel honored by the job,
Kneel before doing duty,
Deal in the wisest way,
Steel-like will be had

Sweat out to succeed,
Get a passion to work,
Outlet is a tough job,
Fret and fume never

Policy of sincerity mst be used,
Courtesy to all must be shown,
Mercy to inferiors is a must,
Lazy attitude must be shunned

Rash decisions are dangerous,
Stash them into the dustbin,
Flash optimism at every stage,
Dash to do duty with mirth

Overlook not any point,
Look at things positively,
Book confidence always,
Outlook must be ever fair

Sincerity is a sure winner,
Nobility is a Divine trait,
Humility is truly Angelic,
Duty is a sacred venture

Promotion is a by-product,
Emotion must be clear,
Devotion to duty is great,
Dedication is valuable

Whatever job you may choose,
Deliver the best always please,
Never give room for dejection,
Sever relation with conceit!

Slogan For Family

Be helpful, be honest, be happy
Happiness is not a goal...it's a by-product of a life well-lived. The best way to cheer yourself is to try to cheer someone else up. Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened. Happiness depends upon ourselves.

Hum Na Dare Duniya Ke Sitam Se
Aankhe Milaye Har Ek Gham Se
Aap Bina Hum Kuch Bhi Nahin Hain
Hum Jo Kuch Hai Aap Ke Dum Se

Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine. If you want light to come into your life, you need to stand where it is shining.Success is the sum of small efforts repeated day in and day out.Happiness is the only thing that multiplies when you share it.
future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.

Miracle Man

Feelings of resentment are often seen as,
The dregs after life’s pot has boiled dry.

The by-product of spending too much time,
in a space where you had little desire to be.

You’ll never be a totally happy gardener,
if plowing the same rocky soil each day.

Premium Member The Trouble With Liberty

Lock-step agreement is most effectively achieved by tyranny.

Or, perhaps better stated:

Disagreement is an unavoidable by-product of freedom.

We are by-product of souls once alive
We learn from souls once alive
We speak of souls once alive
We call on souls once alive
We pay homage to souls once alive
We recapture images of souls once alive
We dream dreams of souls once alive
We catch glimpse of souls once alive
We pine for souls once alive
We breathe in souls once alive
We fear souls once alive
We wrestle with souls once alive
We hate souls once alive
We walk on souls once alive
We do rituals for souls once alive
We copulate with souls once alive
We pray renewal of our soul, still alive.

Things Lovely In Life Last No Long

The heady scent of earth from early rain—
Soil embracing moisture— and gone ere long,
Nor yet repeated soon enough again,
Short and sweet comes alas a pleasing song.

What rare delight ‘tis rambling by the field
Of bluebells in April, inviting spring!
Its blossoms casting brief spell soon is killed;
Short and sweet comes cherry-blossom's inning.

So fragile be her bloom, so delicate,
A light drizzle can cause her frills to fall.
Good things alas are good for a brief date,
Take brilliant lives, take honeymoon's short call.

Yea, all things lovely in life short-lived are,
Nor beauty’s nor youth’s spells can be stretched far.
---------------------
Heady scent of first rains: Greeks called it ‘stony fluid flowing from veins of gods'. But the fragrance of first rains has science behind it. Certain plants exude oil which is absorbed by soil in dry season. This is released into air along with a bacterial by-product with first rains, as a subtle heady smell, called petrichor.

GENETIC FOOTPRINTS

                           EMANATING WITHIN HEARTS OF MORTALS

ARE GENETIC FOOTPRINTS BEQUEATHED BY CELESTIAL ESSENCES

WANDERING UPON THE IMMENSITY OF A DYNAMIC TIMELESSNESS

VENERATING ENLIGHTENED SPIRITS EXPLORING ENDLESS SPACES

                            ILLUMINATING DARK ENIGMATIC PORTALS

One uneventful night, I had an interesting thought that *****sapiens,
might be the by-product of wandering space explorers from a different time
and space, with the instinct and desire to travel far and wide, to seek for
answers of their origins and wished to touch the face of their Creator, but
unfortunately ended up living on planet Earth for a period of time before
continuing on. Questions and desires that sound and feel familiar to us
   humans?
   Just a thought...

I've seen the by-product
of alcoholic parents
not my own
but some folk I love

Those whose souls
cry out from a childhood
    of
Poverty
Humiliation
Being Ostracized
Anger

MIXED AT THAT!
Black and White

Where I come from,
a formula for torture
not black enough
not white enough

Living in the ghetto's
of San Francisco
leaves that adult
by-product
in a messed up way

Premium Member Contemplation

I've had many heated conversations with . . . myself
over how a circumstance, or life itself, should be perceived.
My best time for self-probing is late at night.

Even now (in my sixties), I lean toward idealism.
Reality--not killjoy, but counselor--reminds me of
my boundaries. Opportunities to balance realism and
idealism have proven successful, warding off pessimism.

Pursuance of goals is still fueled by fire, but the flames
don’t leap so high as when I was young and vigorous.

Effective self-examination can be time-consuming
and painful, sometimes revealing that challenging
changes are required of me. These growing pains, even--
or perhaps especially—at my age, are necessary,
for life is not yet through with me.

I classify myself as the basically satisfied, often joyful
by-product of late-night contemplation.

My Dear Gods

Discarded by-product.
Was it difficult to explain it to us?

Forgive me my dear gods
for I can not understand your puzzle.
I'm not worthy of your intelligence
because I'm stupid standing up and watching
in the sky looking for you.
I cry my dear gods
because you left me
I do not belong neither heaven nor earth
I feel the eternity goes away for me ...

How many times do I still have to die!
Self-control, detachment and mercy
in the chains of feelings, passions and desires!

As a bastards left on the road
we feed on animals poisons.
Are we worthy of your salvation
my dear gods!?

Dirty and damned!
We carry viruses.
Oh my gods tell us why you gave us consciousness?

Dear gods or God!
We are yours
Irony of grammatical error
or maybe genetic mistake
or maybe historical mistake
or maybe perceptual error
or maybe medical mistake
or maybe space error
or maybe or maybe...
Dear gods, we are yours
an unconscious mistake.
Come and destroy us!
