Bluffed Poems | Examples

The Liberation

Prisoners were captured, their liberty were stolen
Hopes were dangling, asking help to heaven
Dreams were their silent sanctuaries
The only one that keeps their sanities

Eyes were blindfolded, hands were handcuffed
Lies and deceptions, all of them were bluffed
It felt like an abyssal tunnel they fell in
Everywhere you looked, it was just a dark scene

Free to struggle with strengths just like candles
This world is dominated by heartless scoundrels
Evil is everywhere, someone pulls his triggers
Weak are those we hear the sound of whimpers

When will this dark age come to conclusion?
When is the fulfillment of promised redemption?
All these words are just words, vague and empty
All seen are letters and numbers printed blankly

What is the context, who gives the meaning?
Our minds can't compete to what He's thinking
Send a messenger, one who will tell us your will
A refreshing message that will makes us stands still

This is the key to these chains we're strapped into
In darkness we're into, the light that pierce through
We see the glimpse of the future, thanks to you
We feel free and loved, not caged as we used to

Premium Member The Cat and the Fish

The gap is so minutely thin,
Almost in his mouth is their fin;
A thin film of water divides,
Slides their line of touch and face hides...!

Mouth-water-wetting cat ponders,
His mind, in wings of thought, wanders;
Fish successfully gets him bluffed,
Yet, he does not show he is cuffed...!

The urge of his heart is at peak,
His taste buds a fish-bit does seek;
A disappointment shadows him,
Determination too goes grim...!

Did he get them at all? Don't know,
Don't know at last his face did glow;
Midst wishes sometimes failures fall,
Life's, yet, an existential call...!!!

Light Up Dark Rooms

The dark rooms in one’s mind unlit,
One is heading straight for a pit:
Will not take long the spot hit
While the injury just won’t fit!

Then, for dark rooms of the mind sit
As things about them have been writ
By pens with more goals than wished with,
Knowledge conjured and teeth won’t grit,
The–seen–with-the eye not a slit
And moved legs won’t fall into pit..

My time I’d given Charles Rycroft
And my anxieties just got soft;
On Neurosis supremely coughed,
Where contributors can have bluffed

Premium Member In a Split Second

In a split second, life can be snuffed
Unforeseen events cause misery
Why this is so, ‘tis a great mystery
Of such our lives are suitably stuffed
None of us should ever be bluffed
Accidents are main features of history.
In a split second,
The role of accidents is often sloughed
We are victims of information trickery,
Believing what we hear becomes primary
Facetiously, going through life chuffed,
In a split second.

Discounts Fetch Smiles

There’s no amount
Which does not count
In an account…

Yep, no amount
Sellers discount
And while recount
Your whole story
Fail to glory:
Place in praised sky
For being Quite High…

Don’t pressures mount
After discount
For more from Fount
Or self soon count
The Badly Bluffed,
His wish rebuffed…

Discounts fetch smiles;
Who gave went miles!

Look into the camera the mighty space man said.
Jon’s Cat was hypnotized, clobbered in the head.
We are taking over, honey, the alien said with a chuckle.
Jon’s Cat was mad. He wanted to give the guy his knuckle.

Take us to your leader the head of the rebels demanded.
Jon’s Cat understood, but he would not do as commanded.
His human was his hero, and he wanted to keep him out of harm.
So he bluffed, and he bamboozled, and he waylaid them with charm.

He finessed, and he fidgeted, and he fiercely fixed them hard and good.
He did what any wise, smart, wonderful, adoring, Kibble-loving cat would.
He led them away from his owner, down the hill to the Alien Catchers Pound.
Next he knew, Space Catchers had netted them. They were on the ground.

He was declared the hero, named Grand Marshall of Thanksgiving Parade.
He took Jon with him. They celebrated with sips of warm pink lemonade.
It’s the sixteenth arrest you’ve made, Jon said. What is your secret, Cy?
Jon’s Cat could not tell him, but he worked undercover for the Cat F.B.I.

PEARLY GATES

I’m brought before Saint Peter,
On display in a clear glass crate,
Nothing hidden up my sleeve,
Except a hammer, I jest to escape.

He approaches me out of nowhere,
Ask him for a chat while we wait,
Gentle voice replies “of course son”
We’re summing up, there is no haste.

Listen! played the hand I was dealt,
Although bluffed, behind a poker face,
Concealing more lies than honesty,
Yet love always, outshone the hate,

At times life seemed unbearable,
Beyond all reason to procrastinate.
When younger I couldn’t get enough,
Though excess, simply led to waste,

Won’t bore you with petty details,
For fear deaths a pitiless place,
Bit late in the day, seeking salvation,
Begging forgiveness, no saving grace.

“Never said a truer word my child,
Crocodile tears, cannot work this case,
Condoned, condemned, in the balance,
On very thin ice, this verdict skates.”

“Whatever I say does not matter,
It’s meaningless gone past debate,
God alone will pass the sentence,
Life’s evidence, will judge your fate.

Premium Member Easily Bluffed

Memories, like fine wine, sweeten with age;
cavalier ways, become less defiant.
And in life's book, tears saturate the page:
bemoaning times, Hope was non-compliant.

You sense your pain, anxiety, and fear,
rattling the very foundations of trust.
And catch yourself wiping away a tear
while your tinder heart threatens to combust.

In games of love, you are easily bluffed;
ignoring the odds, you go all in, blind.
And dreams drift, like a dandelion tuft,
afloat in the back of your conscious mind.

When you gamble on love, you tend to lose,
and your rejected ego bears the bruise.

Texas In My Mind

In that darkest of time at Charlottesville
When hate ruffled their minds
And madness erupted in kind
But dumb Trump bluffed in haste,
Hate, hastes, I was dazed,
As wicked drove on Heyer in sour taste!
Both sides he claims to bait
Wait, is heaven in joy of our choice?
Or God in vengeance of Bannon grudge?
Albeit, or hell in bed rest?
Wall! Wall! Wall! He cried
Pouted as pig his anthem of division
Then comes release of his bosom, Arpaio
While in rage heaven dances in Texas
Tornado, hurricane and water flood
Our folks in need of our own
Donate to help Texans in pains
Think not of Brother's hater in our midst
Donate, brother's keeper you are.
Help before Trump turns us to nothing

Goldie Locks

Goldie Locks
Poem
Lionel Derbyshire

Goldie Locks
I did not know your name
You swayed your hips
With small steps
As you pass me by
I did say hello to you
You did not answer
You growled a little smart
And bluffed a little bark
Which caught my heart
I could not say goodbye
It would have been a lie
I could not take back
You were too
Cute for goodbye
It was too smart
When you looked at me
Up and down
My heart began
To skip a beat ..

So I picked you up
And brought you home
My little hazel
Brown eyed puppy
And called you
Goldie Locks.

Way down
Years gone by
Without tears
You met a pug
Called Mulligan
And had
Lots of pup's.

Nothing To Lose

When you are pushed back by your foes
When your very friends desert you,
When you have reached a dead end
And have nowhere to go;
Then spark off with a blast
That will destroy all humiliation -
And the world will behold your light;
Filled with an amazing sensation.

When your heart is destroyed
By the very ones you loved,
When you are deceived, decepted
Betrayed and bluffed;
Then show your true potential,
To the world which considered you weak
Show your amazing perseverance
Until you reach the peak.

When your road of hope is blocked
And in utter despair are you,
When your back is pushed against a wall
And you have nothing to lose,
Then clench your fists and vow;
And the world to which you were a muse,
Would be bound to respect you in every stage
For now, you have nothing to lose!

The Grey Is Thundering

(30/11/2013)

It was only white and blue in
the sky
Then the soft grey starting to
replace the white
Over the wind, the blue shooed by
Sun is glad, at home relaxing
with the bright
The then-soft-grey is darker now
White and blue have given
their bow

Again, dark grey has won
Has pulled curtain on the sun
Bluffed and kicked colors to be gone

The thunder is roaring to
celebrate
Feeling sad, the rain is pouring
its cry
Darkest shade of grey,
Rambling in thundering to sing
its victory
