meow meow
i called the kitten
who have never eaten
and i say
meow meow
arf arf
barked the dog
who got jealous
and he say
arf arf
tweet tweet
birds that fly
greeted Hi
and they sing
tweet tweet
creak creak
who could have
made all of them
made me smile
heart's overwhelm
swish swish
fish on the pond
flapped their tails
and they go
swish swish
roar roar
and we got scared
the mighty lion
rumbled
roar roar
hiss hiss
a snake came out
the bushes
and goes
hiss hiss
broom broom
as I drive over
the wilderness
broom broom
we've all seen
the masterpiece
now I wonder
who is the
great artist?

You can’t burn me like a log
Better treat me like a dog
Give me chewies, give me ball
Take me out on a stroll
In the evening, home and dry
You will laugh, and I will cry
I might not be very wise
Take a look into my eyes
Tell me what you see inside
Something that I cannot hide
Tell me what it means to you
I’ll say arf! I love you too.

Tabby in winter, with a tuft of snow on your head
You got slammed when they came down on that sled
If you get buried, it may be quite a little while
Before we can save you, St Bernard said with a smile
Then he noticed that there were Bernards on her scarf
How bad could she be? He told his friends with an arf.
Tabby in the snow glared at all of those happy dogs.
They ate up her chocolate kibble like untrained old hogs.

*****
I adopted a friendly old dog,
a black Lab named Ken
He's not much of a watch dog
but we're great friends
Ken, has a favorite red ball
he takes it everywhere he goes
even to the vet beside the mall
A vision of smiles playing in the snow
One night, I was sleeping in bed
awaken to glass breaking
Bang!.. Yelp!.. My heart sank in dread
thud, thud, thud, my body was shaking
My life flashed before my eyes.
frozen in time, a prisoner in the dark.
I fear death! Will no one hear my cries?
Then reality brought me back, "Arf"!
I felt something hit my chest,
thud, bouncing on the rug.
"Arf," Ken! I should have guest
you scared me, I gave him a hug.
The house is a battle zone
Ken!, You're a bad boy, No! more ball.
His ears went down as he groans,
-dropping the ball at my feet, excited, "Arf", rlay rall" (play ball)

two good longtime bosom buddies
puerile teasing games they play
they're inseparable toddies
they're different from night and day
puerile teasing games they play
ooh, ooh, eee, eee, aah, aah
they're different from night and day
arf, arf , dog object to its tah...
ooh, ooh, eee, eee, aah, aah
high-speed monkey pulls his friends tail
arf, arf , dog object to its tah…
feuds erupt, and calm still prevail
high-speed monkey pulls his friends tail
they're inseparable toddies
feuds erupt, and calm still prevail
two good longtime bosom buddies

Blissfully reigning in his monkeyrium
Over his stuffed ape and monkey collection
My special child boasts of dinosaurium
That display his toys, subduing extinction.
Behold him linger in his edenic haven
Oblivious of echoing meow-arf-arf sounds…
“Oh, how good God* is with His grace-proven”
Thus saith my heart, which my boy resounds.
*Psalm 73:1 Truly God is good…

Annie’s Sun
Today is yesterday’s tomorrow,
Oh, Annie, if your song would say,
Sun follows and follows and follows,
Ah, but it is only a song today,
This poem took its form in that yesterday,
Different was this day to be, and yet,
One foot barely follows another,
I long for your happy hair of red.
Yesterday’s hope proved futile,
Though today’s hope will banish sorrow,
And one day Sandy will Arf,
And hope will win joy - tomorrow.

This past week it was raining cats and dogs,
prayed about it to not get so annoyed,
one car totaled other in infirmary,
husband tomorrow having triple bypass surgery,
Meow, Arf, Splat go land some more in the bog.

DEATH IN A PARIS PISSOIRE
I'm all alone in my sunset
I'm as alone as I can get
I thought I'd die but haven't yet
things are just as bad as they can be.
I'm all alone I cry and cry
I'm so along I want to die
don't want to live but don't know why
things are just as bad as they can be.
I'm all alone I done my best
I made the grade but failed the test
I lost it all throughout my quest
things are just as bad as they can be.
I'm all alone here in my bed
I'm so alone I hate my head
it's hard as stone and thick as lead
things are just as bad as they can be.
I'm all alone and hurt a lot
I'm so alone I'm all I've got
my love life's always not so hot
things are just as bad as they can be.
I'm all alone and ugly too
I'm so alone my life is through
My dog hates me what can I do?
Things are just as bad as they can be.
Bow wow! Bow wow! Arf! Arf!
Grrrrrr . . . ..

SILVER
Silver is the twinkling stars
Silver is spilled moonlight
Silver is a fairy’s wings
ready to take flight-
A baby’s laugh
A wizard’s staff
A puppy’s ‘arf!’
Snowflakes and
angel cakes
and silver spherical decorates.
The highest pitch of a piano’s tinker
Is silver
And the sea is silver
When the gentle rays touch the water.
Silver is a penny tossed into a wishing well
Then wishes are silver
Sparkling distantly
But never getting fewer.
Silver is a teardrop
Silver is a sight
Silver is the most beautiful sword
Owned be the noblest knight.
Silver is a ray of hope
You can always cling on
Silver is the budding dreams
of countless childhood memories.
Silver is the spiraling,
Never-ending flow
Of gentle fluffy snow.
You can taste silver
If you truly believe
In the land of fantasy
On Christmas eve.

Dog Gone Languages
All dogs bark except the Dingo
Humans think they know the lingo
But truth be told – reality
It’s a different sound in each country
In Arabic – hau-hau, how-how
Armenian – haf-haf
In Cantonese – wow-wow, wong-wong
Bulgarian – jaff-jaff
In English it’s arf-arf, bow-wow
In Malay it’s gong-gong
The Germans hear wuff-wuff, vow-vow
The Thais just hear hong-hong
I’d give you more but that’s enough
You need to know this other stuff
Dog barking has one common vice
A dog will always speak it twice
No matter how we hear the bark
Between two dogs it hits the mark
They seem to understand all others
Better than we do our brothers
