Haibun Contest

I must start by thanking those of you who entered this contest, which I think has become my most sucessful so far. It is nice to see how many have taken this opportunity to write their first haibun, and find the fun of this form. I too have only just started writing Haibun, and that was my inspiration to hold this contest.

As for judging: I read some fabulous pieces of poetry and prose during this competition, and had to disregard a few awesome pieces because they did not adhere to what I understand as the Haibun form. Therefore all the entries which resemble Haibun will have either made the top 15, or will be getting a Honourable Mention, as some of you already know.

Once again thank you all for entering this contest, I hope you enjoyed the experience as much as I did. Now to the winners.

Hi Scott, thanks kindly for my HM, always appreciate when ones poem gets read. If it gets more than that, I'm smiling widely. I decided on my theme as a conclusion to my poem 'I'm only Six' please feel free to read if you have some spare time. You'll then know it's reasoning. A few commenters knew of the first one. i had a great time doing this form though it was a hard one, scott.. there is an ad on the left corner of the comments box that restricts me from sending messages to poets re their pieces.. i have clicked the x -mark, but is still continues to pop up... congrats to all from me.. thanks!
