These eyes the world sifts harshly through, 
      see what I want them to believe.

           through life glistened eyes  
           glimpses of a desert road…
               view from a mirage

A clever write, and enjoyable read, though for this competition I was looking for more conventional Haibun, with longer, story telling prose. Thank you for entering my competition, but with the quality of other entries I am sorry this piece will not be making the top 20. I will be giving this piece an honourable mention however.
