A thought

I had a thought but it quickly went away
Another thought just crossed my mind
The second one today
Lasted for only a moment
They very seldom stay
Just melt away like a snow flake in July
But soon another will take its place
I have always wondered why

Millions of thoughts keep going through my mind - sometimes all at once - which can be difficult. I'm bipolar :) so this is a hard way of thinking. I enjoyed your poem. God bless you.

Love this write. I have days that my thoughts flash like strobe light. Other days when they hit me deeply and I have to ask myself--who is this invisible man speaking to me? Carry on my friend!

Ah, I see you've spent some time in my mind as well. I really enjoyed this little verse. It reminded me of another: "Last night upon the stair, I met a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh how I wish he'd stay away." (William Hughes). Kudos, to you, Donald.

Hi Donald, lovely to see you writing all these poems. I have been watching my mind for a long time now and seeing those thoughts flashing flashing by is so very interesting. I try to switch them off each morning by meditating for forty five minutes, and this has brought great peace and joy to my life. Loved your poem, my friend. Your writes are always interesting....peter

I've always considered my thoughts to be mind squirrels with adhd. Love the poem :D
