Each year as the calendar turns
Further and further the distance grows
To my toes down there on the floor
Maybe it’s nothing but an illusion
But they do seem so very far away
Could be that my legs are getting longer
Or arms have insufficient length
I guess it really doesn't matter all that much
Because matter not how I twist or bend
My toes are still almost impossible to reach
