Crispy Skinned Cossages

Oh to crispy skinned Cossages those tasty morsels of the mind may imagining their delicate flavours help your busy days unwind do they taste like asparagus or is it peach do they smell like running socks or is it leech To crispy skinned Cossages those rocket ships of the mind that can fly you away to near or far wherever you’re so inclined you could go to the circus or just down the road visit the rings of Saturn or dine with a toad Say thanks to crispy skinned Cossages those gallant saviours of the mind freeing you from mundane thoughts where your life is entwined do you cure cancer or were you first to the Pole a boisterous blustering braggart or a quiet listening soul

I like the 'Osuage' of this cossauge word Scott, as I would the 'usrage' of more conventional descriptive words in other famous writes.' Are these items also able to be barbacued by any chance?

Scott: I don't think it matters to the group what Cossages are. It only matters to each individual, what ever it takes to make them stop and smell the roses or Cossages. Causes you to dream your dreams. That's the take away I got. But remember, I'm just a silly rhymester. Thanks for sharing this with all of us on the soup. oldbuck

Enjoyed this lighthearted fun poem, Scott. I'm putting my bet on crispy sausages, but I'm a hopeless punter! If I remember rightly I once came across a word which sums up things which we can't understand or remember...I think it's a "thingamabob" or 'thingumajig'. Regards // paul

It's always fun to listen and talk to very young ones although they tend to mispronounce words. This is very interesting poem which you came up with with a nice form of rhyme my dear friend, scott. Thanks a lot for sharing and your kind visit on mine. Sawadee Ka, Kapkoun ka.

I guess she meant sausage lol great humour Scott made me smile when I thought of a little kid stumbling over this word - I still use words my son used to day - spiders are 'doiders' so if we see a woman with HUGE false eye lashes I say to my hubby - look at the doiders on that!:-) hugs jan xx

My dear thirtyseven, my soul is telling me that Cossages are pig ears mixed with coconut tree grubs, served on a brown viscous paste of fermented Tuna with no MSG..... LOL.... I loved it...

You are getting better with each poem you write. I enjoyed the rhyme and structure so much. Nothing contrived and all a perfect fit. The ending is terrific.

I really like the positives if this poem, But could I somehow be picking up an allusion to dead poets society, Particularly like people who are quiet listening souls....Maria
