I think a lot of people found this form challenging, and I found it a nightmare to judge: checking the number of words in each line, checking syllables, checking acrostics, until I developed a headache - literally! Lol But I eventually arrived at thirteen winners. The most common reason for a poem being disqualified was a failure to use all single syllable words. People had tried to get around this in some rather creative ways, such as splitting two syllable words into two separate single syllable words! Some people didn't seem to realize that it had to be all one syllable words; they had the right number of syllables in each line, but not in single syllable words. Thank you to everybody who participated, and a big congrats to my thirteen winners!

this was a real challenge, charlotte.. thank you for the slight migraine but the joy of completing one was a hurrah moment.. congrats to all with huggs

thanks for the placement. I like what you told me about sky instead of air. I remember what I had done, Charlotte. I had already used sky in line one and then took it out and used sand and sun instead, so I forgot to replace air with sky in line two! Congrats to all your winners. A list I definitely look forward to perusing.

I'm was thrilled to do well in your contest, Charlotte! The tricky rules, really provided a challenge, and I can hardly imagine the patience it took for you to judge, count syllables, and check and re-check each poem! You must need some serious R & R after this one!!. But thank you so much !!
