Tea for Two

I love to watch the tilt of your tender-tipped fingers cupping the teacup's rounded heat, the way you would gently cup my breasts, your hands coiled lovingly around their warmth. The roil of boiling water, the fluid swirl of aromatic amber flowing over delicate flowers as spiralling steam scents the room sensual, rose-redolent and perfumed with jasmine flowers. Lustrous light turns the day liquid: our private gilded hour. Lemon sunlight slivers sharpen our eyes to each other. Your fingers move with practised, deft fluidity, absently caressing the chintzy china; the air heavy with heady scents of the orient, a tingling-brisk kiss of bergamot upon your lips. I watch you lingering, filtering the fragrant leaves, your fingers fingering the fragile porcelain, florid and swelling with heat; your lips dipping to sip sugared gold.

Dear Charlotte, you deliver sophisticated sensuality and poetic artistry in a sweet and steamy "tea for two". Your wordplay, alliterations, internal rhymes and imagery combine to create a poem of sultry "sugared gold"! A fav for me. Warmest wishes my poetic friend.. ~Susan

Ooh this is so sensually pleasing, i once wrote a poem on chocolate the same way, in a sensual tone. I love the descriptive details and storytelling throughout, and theres a softness in your language here, and your wordplay fits so perfectly for the theme you’ve written for. Nailed it! Especially those last four lines, alliterations and assonant symphony blew me away! Just brilliant! You should do more. I usually dont enjoy sensuals but yours is so poetic and eloquent. Sending you light always.

Charlotte, your imagery is intoxicating, from the cupped warmth of fingertips, teacups, swirling amber and rose-scented steam. You blend sensuality into every detail, from the "chintzy china" to the "tingling-brisk kiss of bergamot." It's a love poem disguised as a tea ritual, each touch and sip infused with unspoken desire. The "lustrous light" and "gilded hour" create a haven, and the lingering on the fragile porcelain adds a touch of vulnerability amidst the passion. Bravo! - Blessing, Daniel

What do you take in your tea? Just you. They do say everything starts in the kitchen, the place of erotica. Need to know now. Did you sip the tea?
