I fell in love with poetry when my fith grade class did a unit on it. Everyone else was having issues writing their poem and it took me no time at all. Ever since then I have been using poetry as my form of expression. Whenever I'm mad or upset poetry is what makes me feel happy again.

10 Poems that Define Me:

1) Cotton Candy Castle

I adore this poem. For me it is a description of how my mind works. It’s my favorite piece.

2) Spaceship

I love the style and story of this poem. It is my best attempt at writing children’s poetry.

3) They Said

I had a toxic friendship, and I'm still healing, but this poem helped me express that hurt.

4) A Prayer

My faith is a deep part of me. I am happy to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ.

5) It Wasn't Hard to Say Goodbye

I'm 22 and just starting life out on my own, to me this poem captures that feeling of growing up.

6) Fire Ant Mind Control

My friends and I made up this conspiracy on a whim. It is a fond memory of youth.

7) Double Vision

The original format of this poem is overlapped to mimic how I see. I think it’s a work of art.

8) Physics

This poem is an expression of how much science means to me. Also, it is fun to read aloud.

9)How to Pool Noodle Lightsaber Make

This poem also expresses the joy of my childhood. (And my nerdiness). I had a ton of fun writing it!

10) Diving In

This poem is a shape poem to express the feeling of flying when I dive. I love that feeling.
