This is a question poem that I wrote for a Creative Writing class I am taking this semester! I am a Chemistry major in school, but I thought I'd take advantage of some of my free summer credits to take a fun class. Not that chemistry isn't fun as you can see by the fact that I decided to write about it! I often look at the world around me and ponder the chemical and biological processes that are going on and wanted to convey that in my poem!
Have you ever tried to follow the Motion of electrons the Vibration of the molecules that make up the world? Have you ever looked around you and seen the Expansion of marshmallows the Cracking and Snapping of firewood burning as tiny little processes carried out by Biological Machines? that run in a matter and a fashion so Fascinating and so Complex they can no longer be Described by the Models We Concoct to explain the world around us. and if you've ever done so Have you ever really wondered How all this is Possible? How something so small can make changes so Significant? How one tiny change in a twisting Strand of DNA can bring Calamity and Disaster or a miracle that brings us a just little closer to the Perfectly created being?

Interesting write, and science should ask questions ... I was a Molecular Physics Major, so I am drawn to similar musings, (have posted a few here). Keep those wheels spinning!

Lovely musings from the Scientific Poets' Society! Enjoyed this very much, Heather, a Chemistry by the Campfire moment! Even when you take a break from Chem courses, you are still writing about vibrations of molecules and strands of DNA. Have you ever considered a career in engineering? The profession could use more good female engineers, with the one disadvantage that you'd have to spend a lot of time around male engineer nerds like me! God bless you, my poetry friend ~ John
