The first five stanzas are about how I met/got to know/just about my best friends. Each one is a different friend.
For as long as I remember I've known you You're the first friend I'd ever had And the best one too Don't remember a time That I couldn't find A friend in you We met one day And seemed to hit it off Soon I'd say You're my best friend No matter where I am I know you'll always lend A helping hand I was the new girl in school And you were too Didn't know anyone else So I sat to talk to you I can tell you my secrets And you don't tell a soul Its easy to see that Together we aren't alone You moved in during high school And I said hi once or twice Mostly I ignored you Although you seemed nice Then suddenly you were Everywhere I looked You became my best friend Mostly by default I was a freshman And you were way old Almost a senior Almost as bold You took me under your wing Taught me how to fly Now I can say You're a brother in my eyes Dive beneath the sea To find my place of peace An undersea city Filled with pieces Of me All my memories In my undersea city My undersea city With the ones who touched my life Guiding me along my path Helping me to find Who I am, and who I'll be In my undersea city
