Introvert

I see you standing there
Hiding from the crowd
You say the world's too big
You say the world's too loud
I reach out my hand
And put yours in mine
To pull you out into
The whirlwind of life

Life is full of crazy
There is no life that's plain
Life would just be boring
If everyone was sane.
You gotta let the beast
Out of its cage
You gotta be crazy
You gotta be brave

I know you have your own
World in your head
Maybe you might like
The outside world instead
I'm not trying to say
That I understand
I want you to know
I'm reaching out my hand

Life is full of crazy
There is no life that's plain
Life would just be boring
If everyone was sane.
You gotta let the beast
Out of its cage
You gotta be crazy
you gotta be brave

I know you find life
Hard to be around
I can't let you hide
Six feet underground
 if you want to try
To try and take a chance
Step outside your walls
Let go and join the dance

Cuz...

Life is full of crazy
There is no life that's plain
Life would just be boring
If everyone was sane.
You gotta let the beast
Out of its cage
You gotta be crazy
You gotta be brave

I see you standing there
Hiding from the crowd
You say the world's too big
You say the world's too loud
Life is full of crazy
There is no life that's plain
Life would just be boring
If everyone was sane.

Hi Heather! A wonderful poem! I consider myself an introvert. Though not a shy one. Yes we do exist....introverts that are not shy. We tippy-toe into the world. Embrace its insanity. And retreat to rejuvenate. Our constitution simply does not allow us to re-energize while in the midst of the turmoil. But we so love the turmoil! And thanks to people like you, there is always a welcoming hand to urge us on. Keep writing and keep embracing your extroverted life;) Peace...Sam

Thank you for your kind words!! I wrote this about a friend of mine who is an introvert, I always have to talk him into doing stiff, but when he finally lets go he has fun.

I like the way Jimmy Buffet said it. If we weren't all crazy we would all go insane. Kind of splitting hairs, but it kind of allows us to not have to be completely out there. It's nice to be sane after the crazy. :) Keep reaching out your hand. Peace. :)

Heather an excellent write full of emotion, if I could say in your first stanza it should read as...too big, too loud, I like it though...David
