Yearn For Poems | Examples

i yearn for my end

sometimes i fantasize about
driving on the highway
going eighty
and swerving into oncoming traffic
will that make the hurting stop?
walking somewhere
alone in the dark
and getting cornered by a murderer
will that make the hurting stop?
being home alone
door bursts open
an intruder with a gun pointed right at me
aimed right at my head
will that make the hurting stop?
the medicine cabinet torn apart
four pill bottles scattered around me
all once full
now empty
will that make the hurting stop?
a blade in my hand, pressed to my wrist
finally brave enough
to go deeper than just the surface
will that make the hurting stop?
going to bed one night
head laid on my tear-stained pillow
and never waking up again
will that make the hurting stop?
will the hurting ever stop?
or am i destined to live like this forever?
i'm not even living anymore
i'm just surviving
barely surviving
against my own will

Good that it just means I yearn for attachment

While I deleted all my socials,
why have I just installed one to look what her favorites are?
I swear I should have just leave it and let it stay in deleted.
I am not meant to use such things,
I always won't stop what other people might think.

Because when I saw that he is following her,
both my cheeks got warm and my heart beating fast.
Even though she does not follow him back

why can I not find in myself what I like and put them into favorites,
but wait for hers?

I do not know what this feeling is,
you know my heart isn't stopping and my cheeks still feel heavy.

I just hope my brain does not feel shaky how it does everyday.

Seeing the amount of na*ed girls he follows,
I think I knew already before.
But why do I not find it funny anymore?
I just did not find it as bad.
I did not really thought much about it and immedietly forgot it

It aligns with his past behavior very well.

With the behavior he has now too I guess.
We just do not talk anymore so I do not know.

Not any feeling,
just something bad lingering you know?

I yearn for you

How I long to learn the poetry of your heart
to hear the words that make you
How I yearn to add my own to yours
so our songs become one
A joyous union of happiness and love

How I long to learn the depths of your mind
to understand who you are
How I yearn to be a part of you
so our thoughts are like one
A meeting of minds and ideas

How I long to know your strength
to know how to keep you moving
How I yearn to walk with you
so we can journey together
A life spent travelling forward as one

How I long to grow old with you
to know all that you are
How I yearn to be by your side forever
Our lives as one
A life spent as one together forever.

"Take Me There Contest, Judged 01/21/2023/ NA"

I yearn to visit the eternal city of Rome,
St. Peter's Basilica with its tall dome;
oh, love the beautiful gilt and art,
            the holiness touches my heart.
                The Sistine Chapel,
                    breathtaking,
                the ceiling dappled.
I want to walk cobbled streets,
and pause for some Italian eats.
To see the Vatican garden and catacomb,
to wander outdoor markets and just roam.

Premium Member My Eyes Yearn For Beauty

The beauty born from lovely melodies fill my visions.
Nature’s image transformed into a glorious tone,
Is found all over, extending earthly nature’s regions.
Even the sun appearing as a bright flower in the morn
Gives off its soft rays with the civility of the harp.
My eyes long to envision a view of something so fine,
So easy and encouraging so to appear that sharp,
The trademark and the product of God’s design.

Woman’s beauty when bathed by the Morning Star
May fool my eyes into thinking I see a goddess,
But it is only the splendor of the sun from afar.
Being sweep into a demure vision so modest.
Her womanly figure whether draped or not
Displays such a floral elegance to my prim mind,
As to render me to a period of no thought,
A facility of the most beautiful female kind.

Premium Member Yearn For God's Plans

"When we don't get what we yearn for, we must keep in mind that God has better things in store"
                                                 - by Poet

Sometimes life's not all that pleasant
It dishes out disappointments
Scars and wounds are ever present
That cannot be healed with ointments

We yearn for more joy, love, and peace
Afraid of what the future holds
Looking back, we live on mem'ries
Giving up hope as life unfolds

But remember, God has His plans
Far better than what we expect
Our broken lives are in His hands
Only He can make them perfect.

Premium Member Yearn For Love

The summer swan song suffuses the autumn romance,
clumps of cloud caressed by the silk of the sapphire sky
wait for the northern wind to hold hands to dance
at the edge of the kaleidoscopic horizon before they fly.

Drenched by the departing summer’s last spell of teary spray
the twilight sky burns in the setting sun’s sinking flare,
from the amber canopy of forest all the birds soar away,
the shadow of tinged foliage floats in the rippling crisp air.

The garden path braces the blushing trees facing the fall,
wilted golden leaves weave the tapestry of blazing hue,
the autumn music resonates in the rustle as they crawl,
reclined grass of cinnamon meadow dons the crown of dew.

The fountain flow of mesmeric moonbeam floods your face
like pristine pearls spreading on waves of amorous sea remote,
the whispering autumn breeze wraps you in ardent embrace,
as I yearn for your love in stardust sequins I see my dreams float.

Premium Member A Yearn For Normalcy

I
                    yearn for
                    normalcy
                   Awakening
my dormant, sleeping imagination

  Wistfully searching for idealism
                  Envisioning
                 the world as
                     it once
                       was

Premium Member I Yearn For You

When all is still, with children tucked in bed
I yearn for you, in aching visions real
Fantastic thoughts are wont to fill my head
I call your name, and wait with breathless zeal...

The planets and the stars, within our reach
With you near me, the world's an eagle's wing
No need for words, our passions replace speech
As you and I embrace in night's brief fling

I Yearn For Calmness

Settle down
We are upset
I was too loud
Yes, I know, yet,
I feel proud
That God will be with us
In our own busy bus
I knew you would
Do us good, Lord
I knew we could
Simply afford…afford…
The debts and pay them off later on
Wish they’re gone!
Try to try harder
Hardship,
With hard grip,
Trying to drag me down
Bright orange turn to brown
Quiet down, down up in here
It gets me anxious with fear
I had to walk away
For my sake of peace inside
I choose to be gay
With happiness I can’t hide
Rhyming won’t work this time
Life will shine as a new dime
Pretty please help us…
Get on the real calm bus
Money is rewarding and an issue
I don’t understand why I’m blue
Like the lake of lovely lament
Maybe it was meant to be…hell-bent
Or heaven-sent..who knows..
Where the wondrous wind blows
Settle down…everything'll be okay!
No worries…please?

Yearn For Your Love

Time robs us for long
As distance creates a vacuum,
You went away for a while,
Oh!,how I miss you,
You spark a wound in my heart,
which makes me yearn for your love.

Premium Member I Yearn For Long Summer Days

Anacreontic Verse

Busy buzzing bees
and beautiful
butterflies
sip nectar
from pretty flowers
in my garden.
Colourful pansies,
scented sweet peas,
pink begonias
and red carnations
brighten the borders.
I sit in the sun
enjoying the warmth
and beauty
that surrounds me.
Summertime -
I just adore
this season
of the year
albeit only
for the few
warm sunny
rain free days
that we get
on my tiny isle
in the UK!

Yearn For Family

There is plenty
Yet am empty
I need someone
But there is none

Wealth is not all
Alone I fall
Help me stand tall
Cuz I now fall

From whence comes love
Pure as a dove
To fuel my move
And build my grove

From whence comes care
To give me flair
The skies I stare
Something so rare

Yearn For It More.

The sky is dark,
the stars are falling.
The wind blows cold wind,
on deathless person.

From night to night,
I wonder why.
Why I can't let,
my heart beat once more.

Then I see,
everyone else.
With their faces
aglow.

Oh I wish for that special feeling.
That special person.
Who would want to be
with me.

But yet that person is not here.
Yet that person has not found me.
My heart beating less and less.
Yet I yearn for it more.

I know I should wait,
but yet I don't want to anymore.
Wish I could find her,
and Wish I can see her.

For till then,
I shall yearn for it more.
