Given the state of the world we are living in
for today’s blessing I return the words of author L. R Knost:
It’s not our job to toughen our children up
to face a world that is heartless and cruel…
It’s our job to raise children
who will make the world a little less heartless and cruel.

No hearing of printer job

May we be blessed to realize…
When humankind is the label we're all assigned….
We need to do a better job
of moving from the human…to the kind.

I wonder, yes I wonder,
how many angels do we have in a lifetime?
They say,
we each have a guardian angel watching over us.
I wonder, yes I wonder,
if some angels are in training?
Do they need to earn their title,
with on the job training?
Then we have,
Our Better Angels.
The ones we can count on through thick and thin.
The ones that will always be there,
there when we need them the most.
I send a huge Thank You to you,
my better angels.
Jennifer’s uninhibited exuberance filled the room
she had excited zestfulness that swept away all gloom
her sprightly effervescent personality was on fire
the bosses quickly decided she would be their new hire
resumes are a start but, in this case, they threw it away
her ardent passion for their company had them cheering all day
My Job Is Killing Me
Manual Labor
Under appreciated
Underpaid
Short breaks
Work yourself to death
Too many call inns
Lazy generation
No effort
No strong work ethics
Hard night just to earn a dollar
Never save enough to retire
Eyes are burning
2 days off are flying
Everyday is just a blur
Feet to slumber
Days run into weeks
Days into months
My money always disappears
I am poor but still want more.
I get a job but still want more.
I go to parties but still want more.
I buy everything but still want more.
I try a hobby but still want more.
I raise a family and don’t need more anymore.
I’m in Inner Voice.
My name is Craig.
I get paid 55 an hour by the Heaven Cloud Company.
We’re not angels.
We’re suggesters.
(Angels get paid way more.)
Our job is nuanced, nudging,
Exacting, and exhausting.
For instance,
With the moon hung high
I come home to my wife:
Tired, blurried-eyed and warm in bed
She asks slipping into silk covers
How my day was.
It was a disaster.
I was batting .300 in baseball terms.
“Hittin’ 30% of the time babe.”
I crawled in beside her
With the weary weakness
Of a wounded animal.
“That doesn’t seem super effective.”
She coiled into me with with her
Wonderfully contrasting perspective.
I laid on my back looking up at our Ceiling Dream Fan
Rotating rapidly on the above and let out:
“It’s like screaming through a cloud."
“No cloud here,” she whispered at the top of my neck,
Kissing me on some immaculate speck of a spot
Between my neck and ear.
Why ask me
what I hope to be?
Why rate my worth
before you’ve seen me work?
Is my CV not enough?
A story told so clear and tough.
I earned my degree
and dream to lead and to oversee.
I’ve been a clerk
and I left my mark.
Each line on that page
holds my skills and my stage.
So why the doubt?
Why push me out?
I have what it takes, can’t you see?
I’m ready to be the manager I’m meant to be.
You did a whiz bang job honey
An expert could not have done better
Thanks Dad, Kathy said
But I am an expert
That’s why I have doctor in front of my name
And the hospital pays me to do this surgery

Being a mother is easily, the toughest job in the world -
Although it oscillates from "delightful", to "exhausting" to "thankless",
It is at most times, a demanding and overwhelming one.
Motherhood's main requirements are patience and love
Along with the ability to teach, discern, protect and nurture.
It needs a lot of resolve, to look into those pleading, mischievous eyes,
And decide when to give and when to stop -
How much to indulge, how much to restrict.
Rewards and recognitions depend on your perspective -
The feel of being wanted, the allocation of more work
And the hugs and kisses - these usually top the list.
The nature of work may change with time,
But the adventure never fizzles out -
It is forever, an eventful journey of learnings, joy and regrets.
It's only a mother who can swing beautifully -
From the joy of watching the child grow and spread their wings,
To the throes of getting detached from them.
Only a mother can process the mixed emotions -
From the heady rush of revelling in the child's joys,
To making sacrifices of her own desires and sometimes, health.
