Kill or Struggle

Aim to please
Aim to kill
Kill with kindness
Kill time
Time flies
Time to go
Go the distance
Go home
Home sweet home
Home free
Free to roam
Free falling
Falling down
Falling in love
Love is blind
Love hurts
Hurts like hell
Hurts so good
Good vibrations
Good to know
Know your rights
Know it all
All in
All or nothing
Nothing else matters
Nothing much
Much obliged
Much to do
Do not enter
Do away with
With this ring
With regard to
To no avail
To the moon
Moon pie
Moon over
Over the hill
Over easy
Easy to use
Easy does it
It takes two
It girl
Girl next door
Girl power
Power of attorney
Power struggle
Struggle for existence
Struggle against
Against…
Existence…

New

You were taught, with regard to your former way of life,
to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude
 of your minds;
and to put on the new self, created to be like God
in true righteousness and holiness.
Biblical quote, Ephesians 4:22-24

For a person to be new
in mind and thought,
he "she" needs to focus on best
knowledge which can renew
his "her" mindset to become new.

transformation is a good process in life
to pray for in daily basis if a person wishes
the intervention of God in his " her " life.

from doing wrong things to do right things
(from telling lies to start speaking the truths )
It is a good rejuvenation which pleases godly folks
on earth and angels in the heavens.
renewal of mind and thoughts process
makes new people in front of God's eyes.

Premium Member With Regard To Failure

we shouldn't
    dread failure;
    it's not death.

 though humbling;
     stings a tad,
       it teaches

     great lesson;
    we learn zilch
    from success.

Circle of Love and Self-Regard

CIRLCLE OF LOVE AND SELF-REGARD:

Here's now a real prevised time...
Some people only get you grimed,
Since you don't disclose your plans,
For them to know what's on your mind.
Even if you accept to at least opine,
You sagely do that through a mime.
And they see it as a very wicked blow,
That you opt and unpredictably throw.
Which makes them grow insanely cold.
Hence, they unwisely become your foes,
Who always try to kill your beautiful soul,
As they unnecessarily stand to oppose.

But they don't get to know your goals,
That you've kept in a well covered bowl.
Truly, as you work manificently to grow,
They assume you to be acting saucy,
Though you don't stay by being flossy.
Yet, whenever you decide to speak,
You're being tagged as a rebel on heat.
So it's good you've been able to decide,
To intelligently move in the best line.
With regard to your mind and heart,
By holding yourself deeply with trust,
In the circle of love and self-regard.

Premium Member Maximally Great

What’s captured my interest of late:
the notion of maximally great.
Some may find it odd
to talk thus of God,
but it’s part of an age-old debate.

Saint Anselm got off to a start;
got expanded upon by Descartes.
Then Kant came along,
convinced they were wrong;
the God proofs took a shot to the heart.

Anselm, you’ve heard of, I trust,
stated positively, being must.
’Twas Edwards, you see,
said non-being couldn’t be,
parrying Immanuel’s thrust.

Variants have surfaced since;
Plantinga is pretty intense:
discussions unfurled
into possible worlds,
and maximal excellence.

In the end, it all comes down to you;
possibility: a thing to work through.
With regard to reason,
one commits no treason
in accepting the premise as true.

Our beliefs about politics,
and matters with regard to faith
do, likely more than anything,
divide us into smaller camps.
And yet it represents a chunk
of who I am and what I think.
So I respect our difference,
and hopefully, you feel the same.
If not, discussion is reduced
to spring and sport and things inane.
And after all, what good is soup
containing one ingredient?
We all contribute to the pot,
as was intended, as was meant.
The pot gets stirred from time to time,
the flavors mingle all the more,
encountering the tasty bits,
the end result is much improved.
I like some heat from time to time;
I don’t pretend to be a chef.
So you can call me what you like;
I hope you'll call me your friend Jeff.

Premium Member The Nights Are Fare Drawin In

There's a famous old Scottish saying
'the nights are fare drawin in'
this relates to the increasing darkness
where winter comes upon us in a spin

As now in the midst of January
it's bitterly cold, windy and wet
heavy coats scarfs and boots are the rule
with woolly hat keeping head from cold

Real snowflakes are not far away
before long they'll smother us all
making us all snowmen at heart
glad our height helps us think tall

Many people face depression
in those dark months of winter
a cloud so dark tears one down
one seeks a spring flower occasion

Winter brings a crispness in the air
early morning frost wakens our mind
at times it really takes your breath away
though spring brings hope perfectly signed

('The Nights Are Fare Drawin In', this is an old Scottish saying when winter starts to come upon us in Scotland and we have less light in the skies. So this is written with regard to this Scottish saying.)

Premium Member More Sad Truth: of Pigs and Pearls

This was written with regard to Jan's poem about the sad truth she discovered yesterday. An attitude adjustment is desperately needed for anyone who would try to manipulate others. https://www.poetrysoup.com/poem/the_sad_truth_behind_the_reduction_of_comments_on_my_poems_974921

It's a cheeky, brazen pig who orders people around by saying,
"Don't comment on her poems, and don't read anything by him."
You wallow in a pig sty while on innocent poets you are preying.
With a demeanor such as that, your life must be pitiful and grim.

Stop slinging your dirty barnyard sludge in the faces of other poets.
You should feel ashamed for doing something so cruel and asinine!
But you'll never admit to what you've done and everyone knows it.
A poet's words are pearls, never meant to be thrown before swine.*

*Matthew 7:6

Yourself

You were taught,
With regard to your former way of life,
To put off your old self,
Which is being corrupted
By it's deceitful desires;
To be made new in the attitude of your minds;
And to put on the new self.

Premium Member What Do We Mean By Grievous Matter

By ‘grievous matter’ with regard to sin mean that the thought
Word or deed which is committed must be either bad in itself
Or severely prohibited
And therefore sufficient to make a mortal sin if we deliberately yield to it

Offended

W hen you go to someone's wedding
H ave you done so in clothes that are unsuitable?
E ver shown up for an evening out wearing shorts?
R emember the times when we "dressed" for dinner?
E ven now, some do so.

I t isn't everyday that special things happen in our lives...
S trange how inadequate we are in showing respect.

T here are times when a casual attitude is not offensive.
H ovever, that is for the mundane.
E ach one of us makes choices with regard to events in life.

R ecently, I attended the memorial for a friend's mother.
E very one who was there knew that this was a somber occasion.
S ome, however, did not take the time to think about their demeanor.
P erhaps we have gone overboard with our "casual" attitudes.
E xpectations for me are that one would come dressed for the ceremony.
C asual attire and wearing baseball caps are fine at a picnic, but
T hen, I was taught that social graces begin at home.
