Premium Member Visionary Poem to my Husband, Ronnie

Today I was dreaming--Ronald, my husband popped not my head.
Then--I remembered our time on the Spirit of New York Dinner Cruises.
That was our First Anniversary Day.
Family and Friends gathered.
We toasted the event with Spirtzers; flowing over glass.
The day had sun light that shown bright. And the river flowed mild; not rough,
like shining glass; so smooth.
So, that we felt peaceful and light.
After, we were back on the deck; where we started.

To my husband

To my husband
That choose to never be there
That choose everywhere but here.
In the physical and emotional
Always choose to disappear
From the end to the beginning
Was never self aware
His actions spoke the loudest
His words was never spoken
From here all trust with in was broken
Barriers are built with every broken promise that was made
Soon the love that once was there
Feels as if it fades
He points his finger
And passes the blame
Never looking at his own actions
Never feeling a grain of the pain
Never truly looking in his own reflection
Just always projecting
To the father of my children
Who choose to never be here
Who choose everywhere but here
In the physical and emotional
The damage done is already there
Year after year turns to resentment
Beyond repair
One thing leads to another
But they just wanted you there
Again you choose everywhere but there
Two boys one father that choose to disappear
Blaming others for his action
Not seeing the truth that was there
Now one family lost in despair
Left wondering if he would ever choose to be here

To my loving husband on our loving wedding day
Happiness will always EMANATE from us, I say
For what once was a wild river is now a calm bay
We'll BLOSSOM together until we're old and grey

Our SWIRLING eyes dancing with each other's way
We'll never lose that rhythm or have our hearts stray
The years and tides may change but our love will stay
The Destiny of Diamonds no ILLUSION but our doorway

Our rainbow eyes shunning SYNTHETIC skies, the archway
Babe, our house will be on the bay, our nest, our gateway
The forest, foliage, and our future will be a fairytale play
Will toast the RUSTIC tranquility and our cache

Today is the beginning, a seed planted as we speak and lay
Nine months from now joy to the world, we'll ballet
The TIMELESS roots will take shape and grow, I pray
The SILENCE of the baby room soon to sound our way, so let's merry away

To My Husband

Being without you
is like the stars
without the moon

The hole I have in my heart
that's forever torn apart

Without you by my side
and the endless days I cry

Not knowing when
If I'll ever see u again

For that day
I'll wait and wait
Until that day
you walk out that gate

And when that day
finally comes true
I'll sit here and wait and wait
Just to be with you

Love Your Wife
By: Natasha Burke

To My Husband

A world without you in it is so very strange
Being with someone else seems out of range
I never thought I would miss you this much
I never thought I would miss your hugs or your touch
I took you for granted and ran away
I didn't want to fight so I just wouldn't stay
I missed the times we had together
I will cherish every last one of them forever
We had good times and bad
My heart is so sad
I can't stop thinking of the events of that day
Half of me died with you I must say
I love you until we are together again
A new life me and her must begin

To My Husband

To My Husband

The day we met was the best day of my life
All I would do is dream of the day i became your wife
I looked forward to hearing your voice every day
I never wanted the feeling to go away

The day actually came we went to the church
My heart felt like it was sitting on a perch
Seeing you smile at me gave my heart wings
Feeling your touch is all my cravings

Now we have been together for awhile
We have the most amazing lifestyle
Growing old with you is a dream come true
It is all I have ever wanted to do

Premium Member Late No Thanks To My Husband

a runaway train
blowing a warning
blasts me from my dream state
my heart is beating
as wildly as any antelope being eaten by a cheetah
I am weaker than a baby deer

wide awake for three hours
writing poetry which makes no sense
throwing my crumpled bruised words on the floor
My eyes begin to close so I wander back to my pillow

a tame zebra that belongs in a zoo begins to limp toward me
what am I going to do with it? I wonder. I do not even know what it eats.
The zebra opens his mouth and shows me vampire teeth
My concern turns to horror and I try to run
But I am pinned to my bed by a concrete gargoyle
Who is not allowing even my legs to move

I can feel my heart beating in a crazy weird way
I know the zebra is going to devour me.
But instead the gargoyle transmogrifies into a fire truck.
Gong. Gong. Gong. Gong. Gong.

I am late to work, no thanks to my husband
Who heard that stupid alarm going for twenty-three minutes.
Why didn’t you WAKE me up? I ask him.
Remember the time you had the dream about being a killer? He asks.
He still has a few scars.

A Love Letter To My Husband On Fathers Day

To my husband on Father’s Day...
I see you.
I see you loving our daughter.
I see you.
I see you staring in wonder at this blessing sent to you and me.
I see you gaping in perplexity.
I see you in confusion, even holding back tears.
I see you.
I see her stalwart protector throughout the years.
I see you.
I see you watching that tiny heart beating before she was even born.
I see you still listening to that tiny heart laying on your chest each night and early morn.
I see you.
I see you laughing at inside jokes just between her and you.
I see you pulling her to her feet and promising no matter what, to always see her through.
I see you.
I see your smile when she looks up at you.
I see a steadfast, devotion to this miracle given to you.
I see you.
I see your eternal pride shine.
I see ethereal love divine.
I see you.
I see your dreams and hopes come alive.
I see you.
You were born to be a father, to this lofty call you strive.
Because of your love, she will thrive.
Miracles come true, when love is true.
As a wonderful father, I see you.

Premium Member To My Husband Gone But Not Forgotten

Underneath the earth you lie
Unable to see Bay Area fog nor sky.
Forty full years undergound,
Unable to hear any sound?
Or see a smile?
You loved life with a passion!
And such an adventurous soul,
my dear husband, you.
You brought mirth wherever you went.
Spreading your soul's glittering confetti!
You dreamt more than most men ever do,
Far exceeding "making it in the world."

I, your wife, has far out written and outlived you.
The famous author, you longed to be.
How terribly sad, such irony.
You left this earth four decades ago.
And those of us who knew you~
We all loved you so!
After all, you were our beloved amigo!
You remain forever inscribed on my soul.
And as for our adventurous life together,
"Il mio, uomo!"

Premium Member Talking To My Husband

In dulcet tones
known just to me—
(nonverbal,
some would say),
though delicate
is not your speed,
I hear what you can’t say.
Consolation
is to breathe.
Allure means just to beg.
Mirage is only
what I see.
Who’d pivot
from your face?
Today’s an anniversary?
You’re with me
every day.
I’d favor flesh
instead of this
but death got in the way.

Tribute To My Husband

Tribute to my Husband

Celebrating; Independence Day, this year,
brought on a whole new meaning for us,
for it was our last holiday together,
one I will always treasure.

I packed a picnic lunch for two,
our first and last meal alone,
we'd a fantastic view of the river,
saying our "I do's" all over again.

Our Last Fourth of July

This picnic was a representation
of our 35 years of marriage, it came, with
dancing lights, resounding booms,
a night to remember.

He took my hand and said I love you,
my dearest, always and forever,
I saw flares of red, white and blue,
reflecting in his eyes, we kissed passionately.

Our Last Fourth of July

The fireworks that night were magical,
reflecting off the river promenade,
our sons were somewhere down there,
for my eyes only saw the man I love.

Goodbye, my love, even though, my heart
lay heavy, the days after you're gone, I will
remember that picnic, on July 4, 2018.
The memories, we shared, I shall cherish forever.

Letter To My Husband

This is the true test of faith right before my eyes,
That will take time and patience to recognize,
All worth every moment even if time is cut short,
Living in love in the present stretching loves worth,
Pain staking tears from the pit of my stomach,
Digesting all the love without making assumptions,
Trusting you Lord, you see my heart bare,
You know my desires and intentions, you brought me here,
The choice I have made with no strings attached,
Binding my heart to you, with a letter intact,
To my husband, I will give this letter in the future,
Written on the tablet through a million sutures,
The stitches from surgeries with the scars to prove,
The pain here will diminish because I love you.

With Love To My Husband

When you came to my life,
I do not remember when I started wanting to be your wife.

Your innocent proposal to me made me spellbound,
My mind had to take no second thought's round,
to say a 'YES' and spend the rest of my life in your arms,
ever increasing my life's charms.

Your capacity to hear,
sometimes makes my eyes shed down a tear.
You always hear my woes,
which many a times keep you on your toes,
preparing ideas for dealing with my foes.

You've been a professional mentor,
who always occupies my heart's center.

You've a poor sense of humor,
but I've never seen you spread any rumor.

It's not that we never fight,
which has given us days both dark and bright,
But Promise me, Promise me- We would always do things that are right,
And I promise you that I would always think of you with a smile before closing my eyes every night ....

Love To My Husband

I am drawn to you like
The stars to the midnight skies,
The earth to th burning sun..
Water to thirsting flowers.

I am comfortable with you like
An old pair of boots,
A faded pair of jeans,
My favorite sweater and scarf.

I am at peace with you like
Sitting in a boat in the middle of a lake,
Taking a walk in the wide open spaces in the country,
Listening to rain drops fall in the dark of night.

I am alive with you like,
The laughter that is uncontrollable..
The heart that gose "thump" "thump" "thump"
Running throught wildflowers in the wilderness.

Every ounce of my being..
Mind, body and soul are riveted by you,
I am alive with you, free with you,
Comfortabel with you.
I Love You..

To My Husband,My Life,My Eternal Valentine

This is to thank you for being by my side,
For comforting and caring when I was
all confused inside.

This is for the phone calls you make everyday,
Just to tell me " I love you" every minute
of the day.

The way you take my hand in yours
For all the world to see,
That this is the woman,
Who is most special to me.
You always seem to know
When I need a hug, kiss or smile...
You never cease to amaze me
When you say "I'm here..let's talk for a while."

In decades past we've had our share
of ups and downs and problems galore,
But you are the one who remained at my side,
Never thinking of walking out the door.

Iadore the way youtell me,
"you are my forever best friend"
Ilove the way I believe in you..
Thank you for listening as I ramble on..
When things become rather tough.

We are in the best years of our lives
Almost one year on our journey together,
Iwant to grow old with you..And you with me.
Iwant to love you "forever"..
