Halloween faerie God-mouse gave Cheeserella three wishes.
Cheeserella was slow to comply, she had to clean the dishes.
And wipe down the counters, clean the refrigerator and the T.V.
Can you please come back later? She said to the faerie God-mouse, Vee.
Vee was askance; this is not how this fairytale was supposed to go.
There is a prince in a ballroom waiting for you in a dungeon down below.
If it’s just the same to you, I’d rather stay here and finish up my chores.
Cheeserella had now slammed shut many opportunities doors.
If I had three wishes
What would they be?
The first would be for stability
The food and shelter that I have before been without
The cold nights I spent sleeping in a car
To not have to feel the numbing cloud of depression
And the hopelessness that comes with it
The second would be for my perfect self image
That I didn’t have days where I was stressed and panicked
All over whether my hair was parted correctly
Or if I was being judged by others
Their eyes staring into me even though they aren’t even looking at all
That I didn’t have to worry about being pretty enough or up to the standard of society
And the third would be to be able to help others
To be equipped with the tools to teach, mentor, and heal
So that those who suffer my pain can feel just a little less alone
To give people the spark they need to reignite a dead or dying flame
To be the brightest star in the sky
And with those three wishes I would leave my legacy on the world
Because the only thing that truly matters in this life is what we leave behind
Standing by the wishing well,
A silver dollar in my hand.
Made my wish and dropped it in,
Out popped a golden wedding band.
I slipped the ring on my finger,
And tossed another dollar in.
No sooner that it hit the water,
There you stood with a shining grin.
Third coin I made my final wish,
Then my heart began to sing.
You wore a silken gown of white,
And on your hand a diamond ring.
I have 3 wishes for the year to come :
peace, peace, peace...
Peace for those who fight in wars,
peace to those who fight for love,
peace for those who do nothing....
All done and carried out in mayor justice for everyone!
It's midnight; I used to love this day.
The clock let me know it's one a.m,
You're the ones who come to my mind.
We're in October, the year is almost over.
Am I the only one to whom this year disappeared?
But we're here, the last steps.
I see your smile and something burns;
You gave me motivation to keep on trying.
You're the reason why I'm also here.
Time to think three wishes,
Love, peace and your happiness.
You can grant someone three wishes.
Anyone?
One stipulation. Anyone you do not know.
It cannot be a friend or a relative.
How does that work?
You may grant three generous wishes to three strangers.
How could I guess what they need?
That’s you prerogative.
I ponder this for a second.
Go down the street to the next block.
Gift a stranger a healthy life until she is one hundred.
She has no idea; she is only two or three.
Then I swish a gift onto a man who passes me on the sidewalk.
Because I like his smile, his mortgage is paid off.
Third wish. Not as easy. Once given away, there are no wishes left.
Can I give you a wish? I ask the faerie.
She shakes her head ‘no”. You KNOW me.We argue about it. During the argument I realize I do know her.
She is everyone I have ever argued with; but more intensely.
I grant a new car to a young couple driving up in an old beater.
Poof! They are now driving a brand new red Lincoln, and it is gorgeous!
Too bad they cannot afford the insurance or the plates the faerie says.
Too bad she cannot keep her thoughts to herself I think.
Still, I am feeling relieved I got rid of these wishes as fast as I did.
It is October and again, three wishes should I make,
But this time something’s different, I am different.
I wish our bound will not break;
I wish we’ll swim together against this current.
In this absurd world I hope I’ll be remembered,
And I hope I’ll never forget you.
You shall part and I should keep an even-temper,
But I have just started and already have wished two.
Properly should I think about the last one;
It must be as strong as my feelings.
It shouldn’t be a hit-and-run;
It should be connected with our dealings.
Happiness might sound cliché,
But our whole life goes around it.
It might be now considered passé,
But I wish that doesn’t make you quit.
A simple wish list
Wisdom and love and power
Of course infinite

A genie offered him three wishes to change the world
Then asked, “What would your first wish be?”
The young man smiled at the genie then said,
“That’s an easy decision for me.”
“I wish for everyone…every person
every son
every daughter, father and mother
to be kind to the Earth
to be kind to the animals
and to be kind…to one another.
The genie said, “You still have two wishes…
what are you going to do?
The young man smiled, “I don’t think I’ll need them
as long as my first wish comes true”.
With three wishes before I die
Should I waste them on material pride
A large mansion
A wealthy passion
No, it couldn't have been a better ride
I summon Genie from Aladdin's lamp
Requesting he fulfill his wishes three -
I think of children (eyes becoming damp),
Wish 1: please Genie, end their poverty.
Then, contemplating nations still at war
With all the devastation they entail,
Wish 2: please end the conflicts we abhor
That global peace forever may prevail.
One wish remains, dear Genie; don't be mad,
But this one is more selfish, if I may -
I wish to spend some time with Mom and Dad,
Two souls whose presence I miss every day.
These wants I wish upon you
One kiss just to touch your lips
An ear to listen to these three wishes I wished
My tongue touching yours twirling out of control
Our minds wondering with our eyes closed
Passions felt throughout our bodies
Twisting and turning losing control
With clothes on no comfort so off is my 2nd wish
Our naked bodies vibrating out of control my 3rd wish
Teasing and wanting more then a kiss
This 4th wish belongs to you so if you wish
My three wishes to come true that we will have
Our very first kiss
I snap a wishbone in half
as I say a silent prayer...
for a cure for all incurable diseases,
for the eradication of the Covid-19 pandemic
~
I blow dandelion seeds
to the murmuring breeze...
in hopes that ongoing wars will so end
so peace reigns all over the earth
~
I blow out my birthday cake candles
wishing for the devastating epidemic
of poverty and homelessness
to cease in America.

A bottle was floating in front of my eyes
And drifted ashore from the sea.
I gazed in amazement when to my surprise
The message enclosed was to me!
I'd been on the island for twenty-one years
All hope of escape had grown thin.
On reading the note my eyes glistened with tears,
Three wishes were granted within.
How long I had prayed isolation would cease,
Yet clear was the choice I must make;
I wished that the world might know love, hope and peace
Then prayed that my heart would not break.
