SONNETS ON PARADE
                     ALLITERATION TROTTING BEHIND
                                         METAPHOR MOCKING THE MOONLIGHT

He waved his papers proudly
Temptingly reciting snippets
Spidery webs
Inviting the unsuspecting
To slow down
                 To listen

A few passersby gathered
Chuckling at the idea

Unaware
          They had succumbed
                                     Altered their paths
Stood
      Motionless
                  Mouths a-gape
                                    Mesmerized
Ensnared

Premium MemberSTARS OF CLARITY

Doubts crept
Ever slowly
Inching up my spine
A silent moon
Peered
From behind
Dark clouds

A shadow lingered
On my soul
Temptingly
Tantalizing

A shudder
Cagily
Clenched
My chest
Tore out my heart
Held it
Before the hidden moon

Its thundering longing
Beseeching
The stars of clarity
With a pounding
Ferocity

The moon
Applauding
In an awakening
Sky

I Was Sorry

It was all futile
Washing and rubbing
Aches that had left
So i did what i do best
Soared away into the blue
Open skies so temptingly called
Rosy hues of the heaven
Raced me across while
You and yours, I all forgot

You'Ve Been Betrayed

"Come with me on a rousing escapade!"
How temptingly he'd whispered in my ear.
"My dear, I promise there's nothing to fear."
How easily he'd managed to persuade
me. Then secretively, his plans were laid.
He'd spoken three words that seemed so sincere,
"Come with me."

Gendarme sirens sounded. It was a raid!
Suddenly, his occupation was clear...
A slave trader taking me to Tangier,
I was rescued and told, "You've been betrayed.
Come with me."

The Supreme Statue

Super serene sizzling sparkle
Mesmerizingly magnetic marvel
Amiably affable ardent ami
Lovesome and luscious lumini
Enchantingly enormous enamour
Gloriously gorgeous glamour
Temptingly tantalizing terrain
Of awesome beauty with brain
As she walks the nature shakes
Lo! Even a way the space makes..!
Pulchritudinous belle or Czarina
From the Empire of Tropicana
Enlightening the world of humans
With Her savoury elixir in tons..!!

The Nymph

A perpetual smile,
Inviting, but enigmatic
It played on her lips.
Her eyelashes fluttering
Strands of wet hair
Neatly falling
From shoulder down
Covering her
Irresistible heaves
Her bosom bare
Flashes of skin,
Milky white
From under the water,
Peeping mischievously
For those to see
But what’s this!
Couldn’t miss
A dark patch,
A mismatch?
No, no very slight
Somewhere in
The voluptuous middle
Left deliberately
Almost temptingly
The bends, the curves
Hedonistic pleasure served
Her oomph,
A perfection
Is she the one,
We had read of.....
The nymph
Of an idyllic world
Gorgeously lying
In a bath tub
A bit spread out,
A bit curled?

Away

Though never one to take much risk,
My younger self, at least,
Would view life as a banquet
And be ready for a feast.

I'd sample some exotic tastes
And venture, armed with pluck,
To unfamiliar places,
Never worried I'd be stuck.

I'd marvel at the vast array
Of offerings to choose,
Without the aid of tour groups,
Led by bus or van or cruise.

My older self, however,
Having savored many treats,
Is less likely to explore, with ease,
Unknown or foreign streets.

So being in a brand-new place,
Though temptingly arrayed,
Has me, sadly, having to admit
I'm just a bit afraid.

Of course, we'll go and do and see
But not quite like before.
We'll still dive in but nowadays
Stick closer to the shore.

Premium MemberLest

The ebony hair alluringly untamed
Some swirl on the trail of squall
Some form enigmatic motif on the forehead
Locking the charisma of the reflected mind
Lest it flies away from the face in the wind.

The almond eyes charmingly unclosed
Design butterfly lattice on fluttering eyelids
Eyelashes align satin strips of the starry sky
Holding the facade of the dreamy vision
Lest it blows away from the face in the wind.

The lecherous lips invitingly unfurled
Don the lilac petals of the sunburst dawn
While dew drops shine with sparkling allure
Shaping the contours of the mystique smile
Lest it withers away from the face in the wind.

The crimson cheeks temptingly unveiled
Spread jasmine scent in the seductive zephyr
Caressing the face with the glow of aurora
Paints the portrait of ethereal glamour
Lest beauty fades away from the face in the wind.

Premium MemberSpringtime Rebirth

A day wherein to wake warm sun to drench,
while it hangs temptingly reaching nature's
ravenous hunger only sun doth quench.
As warm in wild or tame heart leal creatures.

Benign spring upon buds slowly open,
sweeping gold hay-field and purple loosestrife,
songs among branches, cool wind unspoken
sounds descend on restoration of life.

A wee girl in white chiffon Easter dress,
flower hat with embroidery and lace.
Dulcet music ring throughout the church, bless
celebration of life and loving grace.

Spring and Easter bring forth new life from death.
Jesus resurrection, in heaven's breath.

Immerse under waves of ardent sunshine,
nippiness breath near spring clean weather, bring
endless hope, yearn fruit vine, her wee growth wing
touched by dramatic beauty, God's divine.

Distinguished master, ageless fervent sun
hangs temptingly, reaching natures sweeping
meadows, daylight beginning, retrieving,
renewing, reborn creatures one by one.

Cherry blossom graceful limbs bow, appease
budding spectrum of flora, storage pull
bees, as well as butterflies, taking full
gratification bowers sweet release.

Beneath benevolent sun, sky does drench,
appetence that only sunshine doth quench.

The Precipice Moment

In the sixth hour,
of the sixty-sixth day,
another doubter stood on the edge
of the dark abyss

Void chasm in the mind;
canyon to nowhere,
null directions written on a blank page

In the sixth hour,
of the sixty-sixth day,
a scoffer peered down into the darkness

And in that dire, precipice moment ...
a fateful decision had to be made
Babylonian in nature,
the implications were grave

Willingly eat the Nebuchadnezzar curse,
swallow the rage
Stoke the volatile belly of beastly hatred,
then sphincter lip open the cage
This skeleton key decision has you so afraid

Explosive emotions ... violently untamed
Wrecking havoc,
innocent blood will have the soul stained

Every precipice moment begins and ends
In the sixth hour,
of the sixty-sixth day

Pridefully stand tall, and
fall asunder or bend to pray ...
the choice is yours
Fear the scarlet marked nay,
should you choose to temptingly fall that way

In the sixth hour
of the sixty-sixth day ...
The birth of reprobate iniquity
died in a stillborn womb,
where mercy was taken away

Ipnotico Suggestions

Crocodile voices whisper
in the loneliness of your serotonin void
Calling out from the dark deep,
they
        speak
                   seductively ...
urging you to come closer
	to the edge,
and step off into the murkiness —
Dark Shadow depths of moral ambiguity

Attic warm, wooly fond memories
clothe the coldness
of your heavy cynical chest
Those emotional cumbersome, faded picture frames
only tell half the story

As you sink into the Darth abyss,
to greet the devouring Vader words
which temptingly suggest —
That you can have the whole
of whatever it was you lost ... and so much more

A glut of pleasurable sinsations
          velvet touch drown
your chaste, austere inhibitions
The drip drip drip of temporal torture,
fills your cracked ern thoughts
                              st
                           ci
with vain epidermal things ...
Naked desires, which heretofore
were foreign to you

Ipnotico suggestions,
of coral reef carnal beauty,
lures you into the deep deep sleep ...

where awakened Leviathan jaws
are opening

Premium MemberSigns of Spring Emerge a Newborn Lamb

It laves under the waves of warm sunshine,
a chill breath of almost spring- near weather
deliver endless hope and yearn of the fruit vine,
her wee frame caressed by the moor's heather.

A look of silent wonder filled the sun
while it hung temptingly reaching natures
sweeping gold hayfield, light of day begun,
retrieving, renewing, reborn creatures.

Crepe myrtle delicate limbs dropped in size
with the weight of the vibrant pink flowers,
and the bees, as well as the butterflies,
taking full advantage of its bowers.

A breath beneath the sun and sky to drench,
hunger that only the sunshine doth quench.
