STARS OF CLARITY

Doubts crept
Ever slowly
Inching up my spine
A silent moon
Peered
From behind
Dark clouds

A shadow lingered
On my soul
Temptingly
Tantalizing

A shudder
Cagily
Clenched
My chest
Tore out my heart
Held it
Before the hidden moon

Its thundering longing
Beseeching
The stars of clarity
With a pounding
Ferocity

The moon
Applauding
In an awakening
Sky

I absolutely love the smoothness of this poem and also how it flows with such delicate imagery, so touching how you mentioned “ A silent moon Peered From behind Dark clouds” just love that… so deep and moving. And the rest of the lines too which describes so many poignant and soul hitting thoughts in such a profound manner, truly touched my heart. Loved this, congratulations on your well deserved win.
