Premium Member AN OUNCE OF TEARS

Pretty bright sunny day with birds singing,
turned stormy with big dark clouds,
AN OUNCE OF TEARS came out.

Premium Member sunny skies

soft baby blue sky
accents floating white clouds
and smiling sun

Premium Member Sunny Side Up

sun slips low~
a yolk spread thin
across the quiet sky.

heat softens the horizon;
clouds lift like cooling steam.

evening takes the plate,
slow and deliberate,
as summer finishes its bite.

Nubes

Clouds
mind so
cloudy, waiting for
that one day, sunny
but why feels like windy
and eyes so rainy all day.

Sunshine makes me sneeze

It starts off as a tingle
A fizzy tickle in your nose
Gets up behind your eyeballs
And makes you scrunch your toes

It’s bright light that does it
That sharp, crispy kind of sun
That makes your arm hair stand on end
And your nose begin to run

Whether the weather is hot and toasty
Or cold enough to freeze
Or dry and mild; or wet and wild
The sunshine makes me sneeze

My Sunny Love

The sun, she
fondly shuts
my eyes

To clasp me
with all
her warmth

She kisses
my head,
and I sweat

As dusk
leads her to
fall asleep
on my chest,
making it warm

Settling with me,
in the sand, after,
a day too long

Under the stars,
of a resting sky
we wake up,
when it is dawn

Premium Member Sunny Thrills Triolet

Under teal sky, in swift breezes
Lavender wisteria spills,
Twirling anyplace gust teases,
Under teal sky, in swift breezes.
Wildflowers sway, when wind seizes.
What colorful summer dance thrills!
Under teal sky, in swift breezes,
Lavender wisteria spills.

Sunny Summer Storm - A painting

The sun contours the cloud’s edges
Like a sky crack. If the sun be my eye,
Could eye be distracted from the surface heaven?
Some seven wispy islands’ masking bedding,
The frictive crashing plates, dying
And reborn downpours, slitted resting
Clouds, tense breasts and tension bringing.

A salmon fillet stretches gelatinously,
Horizon skin cooked by incidental switches,
Minor cloud bump shuffles that arrest
The sky. It lay there scorching
From the daggered strikes, the speaking
Pikes that shatter crackled clouds.

Their lost remains are seeping out of line,
An army shielded, steel of darker, stealing paints.
Valhalla battle cries boast legends, saints
And mages known only to the sky.

Premium Member On Sunny Days

For Pippi, my fifteen year old Chihuahua

On sunny days it’s okay to spend
Ten minutes outside the front door
While my old dog finds the perfect spot
     to pee and poop,
But on rainy days he insists indoors
Is where he wants to be,
And in his second puppyhood
The puppy pads are nice enough,
And I am fine with that
Because I don’t like rain either!

STAIRS

I looked and saw the stairs, they looked like stairs that went to the sky.
The stairs were so beautiful that they went up into the clouds.
The stairs were clear, like glass, the sun shined though them, making them sparkle with light.
It was a sunny day, and the air was calm, I snapped a picture of the stairs that went to the sky.
I was so happy and thought to myself, the next life must be nice.
Lifting prayers to God, today and always.

Longing for you

The moon is shining brighter tonight,
But it cannot light up my heart.
I’m sinking into the deepest ocean,
Where there seems to be no end.
I’m trapped in a loop,
With no way out.
Hold me tight,
Because I don’t want to lose again.
The tree of peace within me has withered,
Since your presence is gone.

Premium Member SUNNY SIP

A squirrel named Sunny Sip
found brunch on someone’s trip~
a glass of bright mimosa
left sparkling by the chair.

He took a tiny taste,
declared it quite first-rate,
then chattered to the blue jays
about citrus in the air.

Soon he was swishing proudly,
tail swirled and lifted loudly
the forest’s tipsy bruncher
preferred his brunch with fizzy flair.

Premium Member Sun is Joking

What a sunny day today
We are down at the quay
Strolling our time away
Sun is joking can we flee
Up above, then we may fall
Like the Icarus who lost
To the ever burning ball
Had to pay the highest cost
Gods were then a ruling class
Helios the God
Could have enticed Icarus
With the light of gold
As he fell into the sea
No one paid attention
As the story says, but we
Know of Icarus’s action
Maybe due to some old man
Who was sitting at the quay
With his coffee, bread and jam
Noticing impassively
How the boy fell from the sky
And that man could say
What a foolish way to die
On a sunny day.

                                                         Action is choice
                                                        reaction is caused
                                                     choosing to be sunny
                                                 when clouds frown the mind
                                                        curves frown lines
                                                   to galloping rainbow smiles
