Little peanut happy as can be, Tee Hee!
fluky fluky one little bubble went up his little nosey
thats why he did a little sneeze weezy,
just before he struck a pose !!!

MOON MOODS
Over a sink full of dishes I stand
Fry pans, coffee cups, sudsy hands
When I notice an ominous moon
Angry face signals bad things coming soon.
Weary from a day of dashed hopes
My mind turned to bubbles like soap
Then I threw down my wet, dirty sponge
And went out the back door with a lunge!
I climbed up my yard’s tallest tree
To the tippy top branch I could see
Then I whistled the 5-Star alarm
And swung from stars arm over arm.
Til at last I was before that old moon
Who looked at me like I was a goon
“Your face looks so troubled and mean,
“Foreshadowing the bad things you’ve seen.”
The moon took a breath, unfurrowed his brow
“Thank you, my sister, for stopping me now.
“I’ve been feeling lonely and just out of sorts,
“But you bring me cheer, and some stunning rapports.”
I turned for a minute to bask in his glow
When things all went screwy and more I don’t know
But I turned my head back and the dishes did beckon,
But the moon shown a happier and nicer reflection!

I don’t remember the shower
unless the glass shatters
into smithereens
I slip on the soap
of sudsy shards
Life is hard
the walls press in
white and smooth
as if a crowd’s haranguing me
Life is hard
with choices of a cloth
or bar to rub over the rough spots
I cry
when the water’s too hot
Life is hard
when the faucet’s turned off
and the dirt is baked on
and my feet stick to one spot
over the drain
Life is hard
Life is easy too
when cool water runs
over my shoulders
cascading
calming
Life is uplifting too
when the tears abate
instead lather my hair
with suds of laughter
Life is a clear day
I can see eternity
I can see my way out
The misty doors open
Feet are daisy fresh
Life is hard
Life is easy too

The Art of the Devilish Deal
By Mark D. Stucky
Did Trump sell his soul to the devil in 2016?
As his part of the deal, could he lie, preen, cheat, and tweet?
Could he distort, divide, deny, demean, demolish, and destroy?
Could he make even a pandemic worse through criminal negligence?
Is the devil in the details of the deal?
Trump was understandably loved by hate-spewing supremacists,
but why also by family-values evangelicals?
How could so many lose their minds…and still not regain them?
Were brains washed sudsy clean by social media and Fox News?
If Trump did make the sale, was it an artful deal?
Was he even still using his soul anyway?
Would the devil desire such a shriveled thing?
For a chance to destroy democracy,
wouldn’t Putin and Satan have worked pro bono?
Has anyone’s devilish deal
ever worked well long-term?
What will Trump ultimately do
when that bad soul loan comes due?

Men in my life have had a razor sharp edge
Got me feeling' like I'm on the edge of a mountain
And there is an old billy goat up there with me
And I can see the sky as a vision of the future
So soapy, sudsy blue
And I can see that brick home with cut out hearts of the white wood porch
Yeah, me thinking of you Capricorn us
Another one gave me his razor to use a d since then I've had the blues
Talk about a razor sharp edge in and out of the bed
Things very much cleared up

Cynthia O my erstwhile lover
I pine and flounder.
Yes, yes I know I once dumped you -
you just were not pretty enough,
in your tartan wooly socks
but your body once
really rocked my rocks.
O Cynthia, I am not the same
but you Cynthia will be
forever on my brain.
In my mind you come to me now
in my jacuzzi
all lithe and super sudsy.
Cynthia O Cynthia,
be not so cruel, I was a damn fool.
I think of you still
as I ought've or ought'er
frolicking here so naked
in my scuzzy hot tub water.

Circle up chums
My five-minute friends
Let serene quips
Raucous banter
And sudsy bellows
Ooze from every plank
Stable and knotted enough
To absorb the welts below
Testimony joins the fun
Sworn in by tongues
Worth of beggar truth
Slapped with blackened humor
Salted to retard the melt
In favor of icy declaration
Some conjure regimes
From ancient repression
Or schooled outside the core
To relinquish victory
Unattainable and undeterred
For degradation spawned
From amusement's render
Because nocturnal chatter
Logs off the clock
To join the mythic lore.

Rings, what are they ?
Those gaudy gem encrusted things displayed by those in places high and low.
Or on the other hand the kind that pricks the ear when one is half asleep.
Incessant earworm.
Authentic ring,
eternal ring, engagement ring.
I wore this lustrous band or should I say it wore me out,
ill-fitting token of affection that no longer fits.
Finger swelling pawn shop cast off,
fools gold object d’art swept up in sudsy tides only to be swallowed by a viral vortex guzzle.
Geometric arc light, stricken by its own silver rays,
silently preserving magic memories of yore,
stoically the keeper of past dalliance,
fractal shadow creep among the pigeons,
dancing fairground cul-de-sacs.
Closed loop seal a tamper proof exemplar,
clinging desperately to bonds once watertight,
impregnable,
as impregnable as any fortress.

In another lifetime, I was there
As sudsy clothes, a’jumble,
Went round and round until removed
In damp and twisted tumble.
Into the dryers they would go
While I just sat there, reading,
To help the time go by so boredom
Skulked away, receding.
When dry, the folded sheets and such
Into my cart were nestled
And schlepped to my apartment,
Up five flights I daily wrestled.
We moved within a year to where
Our building’s basement hosted
A bevy of machines to which
An elevator coasted.
Yet when I pass the laundromat
There’s surely no debating
That I don’t miss those days of carts
And inconvenient waiting.

Worlds Within Worlds
Quick- open up your human hand-
a microbe-laden nasty world
is thriving there clandestinely!
Though most will die with sudsy wash-
not long before more take their place.
Within their unseen realm of space-
in their tight time tween life and death,
they eat, divide- to millions grow
and wait to migrate to new worlds-
through all the human hands you touch.
Sandra M. Haight

How many germs are on your hands?
It's fair to say a lot of them, particularly if you haven't washed your hands recently. Every time you touch an object or shake someone's hand, you are probably picking up bacteria and potentially viruses too. We're estimated to have around 1,500 bacteria living on each square centimeter of the skin on our hands. Google

the red glow so far away
so close, embraced
the burst of innervated dawn
restraining its awe
the uplift of a lemony-spring
sponge-squeezed from the sudsy sun
the faucet of quiet waters turned off
the aura of a red and white sail on the run
and my day’s just begun
just wait
until the unspooling of the supermoon
the sand dunes of midnight
dreaminess in the lightly rocking socket
infused with Panamanian water lilies
whereas my ears leap at the splash
of oar-rowed canoes
my eyes behold but a shadow of heaven
and i almost die right there and then
in my dugout
i awake to a blue ceiling with stars
hazardly close
unable to breach the barrier reef
i sink into my pillow
in stillness
asleep
