R.I.P.
Should I even say this?
R.I.P
Do you really want me to spell it out?
Like the literal REST IN PEACE?!
Reaching for ink, this feels like a seal of accepting how real this is.
These imaginations of a field untilled, with scattered papers; blank with stories waiting to be told, yet the heart growing cold.
Death's but a pause, a break, a different kind of rest; the sleep we dread!
It's like a closed book, hidden from this noise called life, where every word within are but secrets its deep sleep keeps.
R.I.P
Return If Possible.
Don't let your thunder shiver out of cold, while these blank pages are eager for your rebirth.
R.I.P
Return If Possible
Though, it's dark, but your dark is kind of bright.
Let it breakforth.
R.I.P
Return If Possible.
Some vacuums are unworthy, unnecessary, un...
While I wait for this silence to end, and this quiet to lose its claim,
I will stand on this field, and where the river bends,
I will stand and wait till you're washed up again, to this side of life, where the ink makes everything beautiful.
But till then,
R.I.P
Return If Possible
She was definitely dumping him
All she needed was the right opportunity
It was like that song
Fifty ways to leave your lover
Now just to get it through to him
You’re crap in the sack Jack
If only you were more like Stan
What a man
Or even Gus
Though, you do have a lot in common with Gus
You always go by bus
God, you’re so last year
Out on your ear
Okay, maybe that was a bit severe
Need a new plan
I’m just going to tell you straight
Before it’s too late
Don't come on all coy
There's something I have to tell you
It's about me and Roy
I’m having his boy
I know what you’re going to say
What happened to Lee
Let me see
It started on the bus
Him and Gus
I don’t want to discuss
Okay, well Stan caught them
Do I need to spell it out
Stan said they were all like brothers
Now it seems like those two are lovers
Stan was devastated
I mean, was that in the plan
Anyway, Roy told him about us
Which was fatal for you and Gus
When the driver braked
Driving the bus
Stan no more
So I end this letter
Missing you Jack
Such a young age to leave
Just turned fifty, lover.
Beholder…
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
How many times we have heard it so
But as the sadness drains the warmth and I grow colder
I turn right, then left, but have nowhere that I can go…
So once again I retreat within, within the shadow of the night where I am not seen…
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
How many times has the cliche proven true
And as confidence fades away, the days pass as I grow older
Looking ahead I now see what I need to do…
Incapable, I cannot escape the fear of the failures in my life…
So I retreat within, within the shadow of the night,
Where I cannot be seen….
…I close my eyes to digest all that I have seen
I filter through the mire so the picture is crystal clean,
I try to spell it out in rhyme, in the hopes someone will see
And put an end to this eternal misery….
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
Isn’t that the way the story is supposed to go
But as light gives way to darkness, and the night is growing colder
I see in my own heart what it is that I have to show….
That the beauty is in the eye…
The eye of the beholder.
The sane file singularly, wait impatiently to enter
the sanctuary of sanatoriums.
Crazy has a mission, it rushes, it presses
with a pitiless paranoia,
it packs suitcases moves into unguarded minds.
For we cannot spell it out, dare not decry;
for the mad remain morbidly mean,
they are building places
to keep us far, far away
from what we could and now should say.
There just aren't enough hours in the day
I always used to say
Didn't you?
It was never true
Should I spell it out for you?
P - R - I - O - R - I - T - I - E - S
Got it now?
Thought so
What?
You say it's too late to do any good for you?
Not until the end
My friend
Bums are funny, I don't know why
giggling 'til I nearly cry-
Silly nicknames are so much fun
like tuchis, tail, rump or buns
Some are dainty, sweet or cutesy
like heinie, cheeks, and petootsie
Timid hinting at their meanings
“back-end”, “behind”... backward leanings
While some are spunky, full of sass
like keister, bum, or tush, (or ass)
Posterior and derriere
both spell it out with quite a flair!
But buttocks, butt, or plain “backside”
bare it all- with nothing to hide
Haunches, hindquarters, can or seat
the list goes on without repeat...
Rear-ends, bottoms, duffs, full moons
all leave me laughing like a loon!
How would you think, God would spell the word “BEAUTIFUL”?
The way I see, He would have to first get rid of
The “B” and the “E” and then the “A”
From there, He would spell beautiful starting with you
How would you think, God would spell the word “LOVE”?
He would start with how He would see it
using one eye and with the other eye, look for you at the end
God is love, so as Love, He would spell it “I love you”
How would you think, God would spell the word “GRACE”?
That’s easy, first he would take all our sins, into Himself
He would willingly suffer on our behalf, to even die for us
He would rise on the 3rd day and spell it as the Gospel
How would you think, God would spell the word “FAITH”?
Hmmm! He won’t, would you like to know why?
Because He already spelled it out, over and over and over, and again
Now, it is up to you to find it, to have it, to know it and to do the same
By: Wilbert Evangelista Dela Cruz
If swallow you cannot an ill word
That curdles up to turn sour like curd,
And acrid goes from sour
By every passing hour,
Spell it out all aloud if unheard,
Watch it loose potent power,
Cooled as if under shower,
Till you laugh it all off as absurd!

Swallowing ill words has upset no stomach, advises ancient wisdom; but it may upset mental health. Beware then every time you open your mouth. If you find swallowing too hard, this limerick (an extended one) shows a better way.

Took my last dime
like you stole
my last heart before it hit the ground
Crook thief is what you are
you claim you my best friend
More like a copy cat
When I look in the mirror it's like
I' am looking at another reflection of a twin
Crooked thief
Crooked thief
Crooked thief
I broke bread with you
I shared my moments with you
even introduce you to my family and friends
I can't even turn my back without
worrying that you will stab me in the back again
I pulled out the last straw and this one was short
So more like it's time to cut you off
Crooked thief
Crooked thief
Crooked thief
you got to go if you don't understand
I will spell it out for you
CUT OFF
Don't need you in my life
Tired of standing up for you
every time
when you do wrong
its seem like I' am always
the one standing in the cold
covering up for all your lies
No more
Only blood begin shed here
is mine
You cut
You leave
I 'am running out of bandages to cover up these cuts and bruises
No more of me caught in your lies
I' am cutting you off
I' am moving on
So take this last advice
You cut off
I don't need a crooked thief in my life
So you either read them or you didn't.
Either way,
I am digressing,
Shot pool with the old family today.
Played damn fine if I say so.
Nobody really cares about how low you are.
They can help take the negative focus away!
That's enough though.
Oh yeah to my CrUß
Well listen you know who you are.
What do I have to spell it out for ya babe?
I'm jobless,
Broke.
You remember those times at work how I would be blunt?
Well I also gotta mention,
That was special to me too.
Listen I know you probably don't care about all that now.
I'm just young, stupid minded, deep into life,
Aswell as well if I said "ynroh"
You'd say,
"So is everyone else!"
Yeah see if I have sex with you it is no ********.
If you're my wife sex is almost always up to you.
Why is this important you ask?!
Because I still don't have kids,
Ok smoking should ease on.
What can I do to make myself more motivated to write?!
Listen ma'am/sir,
You're my ticket to the good life.
Everyone around is different.
Yet everyone I know.
So many stars out there dreaming
To someday make it famous
Then I hear them "give it all"
But they all just sound the lamest
Acting oh so flawless
See their names in burned out lights
Making something out of nothing
Here I'll show you how to write
Change the chemistry with word play
Need a thesaurus and dictionary
Couldn't even spell it out for you
In a game of pictonary
Their rhymes schemes have no substance
Or written shadily by plagiarizing people
Using other artists material
Where their own talent lies so feeble
See their nervous twitches
Shifty eyes
Spit at me, step closer
I'll leave your tongue circumsized
Surprised?
I'm better than you thought?
Now take your ass on
Your name I've already forgot!
First came initials to shorten a name
Then the government got into the game
Along came computers with their new ‘DOS’
Whatever that meant, I was at a loss!
The internet blossomed, it took over
With FB and Twitter, speech was a blur
Compressing our words to say what we think
When did we banish our words to the drink?
Takes only a moment for you to say
What you really mean, speed gets in the way
Why such a hurry to say what you mean
You can’t expect me to read in-between.
Often your words have no reason or rhyme
If you can’t spell it out, don’t waste my time!
The big problem today
That lies in the self
Is the compulsive need for more
Even in bad health
It's become characteristic
In everyone's? souls
The chaotic search for more
Seems everyone's goal
It drives our workforce
Everyone's fingers to the Bone
And all the while working
We carry on as a clone
People hate what they do
But don't really care
The way things are happening
Is anything but rare
To spell it out
The problem is greed
We ride this high horse
Our faithful trusty steed
And so we carry on
Till the day that we die
We can't escape greed
The problem is inside
Have you every heard a woman voices and it brought you to your knees
All I can say is I don’t discrimination against the color line
Have you every just vibe with a person I know what you thinking another
Hopeless Romantic
All I can say is I don’t discrimination against the color line
How can a man know his full potential without a shadow of a doubt
Let me pause for second I’m not talking about million or even billion dollars
I’m talking about trillion dollars now every thing became a bill came from
A thought or a concept
Remind me of the cartoon The Trillion Dollar Man
Can a women tell before ages what man can be pause once again
If I told you I had my heart broken and spell it out with each syllable
I guess she said now that is how you suppose to sing!!!
And the question would be would my heart be in it
Would notice the feeling or have grown with more potential
Love Of Your Life
In the depths of her words I dwell
every inflection and punctuation
accenting upon another emotion
but it's between the lines I rest
not understanding I confess
silent letters gnawing at my brain
maddening and driving me insane
They're out in the open
but hidden beneath
the cadence the dialect
making me a wreck
spell it out for me
I cant stress it enough
simply and slowly
leave out the fluff
Roll away with your r's
and dot those pretty little eyes
whisper sweet harmonies
with a melodic reprise
