Love me with confidence
knowing I will love you
that great interest
that great pleasure that
comes from me with you
I won't fault
I won't bend
I won't waiver
Love me with confidence
knowing that I'll
love you too!

With speed of light, my tender heart dropped
Stitches burst open, my repairs unlocked
Wasn't something I could avoid, nothing I could stop
Neither was the handful of salt tossed on top
I had truly been feeling a little more at ease
Until I stumbled upon something I wasn't meant to see
Put to rest, painful memories unfolded before me
My wound reopened and started to bleed
Two hometown visits and two family meets
Again, jumping in with both silly, wet feet
Shacking up might be next, wouldn't that be sweet ??
After last year's brutal sh*t show, I ain't having a repeat
Nope, won't be seeing this girl's face with a pout
She's been hurt more than enough, that is no doubt
Onwards and upwards, that's what I'm talking about
And one day, he'll realize what he's been left without

That sassy young lassie from Savannah
She wound up in Cuba's old Havana
Playing fine flamenco guitars
Rolling pricey high-class cigars
And shacking with men in her cabana.

A plate of hunger unsavoury to taste
My belly groans, worms meander in haste
once upon a dream packed with love and care a meal I wish
Unfair a reality of a belly inflated not with a dish
Too much of too little have I had, malnourishment have become my niche
Posterity they call me yet I'm ailed with deficiency
How do I lead a future plagued with insufficiency?
Basic necessities I lack
Bones so weak to play, shacking like I carry a hump on my back
Grateful for the next scrap, absurd is the word "snack"
Secure me a future as you build me a present deliciously prepared like a good meal
Nurture my soul, nourish my brain, protect my innocence I appeal
An epicure I'm not simply school me in the six food classes
Austerity I will bear just never let me miss my classes
Yearning for a world of abundance, good food and fruits are my caprices.

One day, when Sariputra was meditating in the shade of the mango tree, a peasant came and started insulting him.
Sariputra was quiet, remaining calm.
- Hello, do you hear me? - the peasant said, shacking Sariputra's shoulder.
Sariputra opened his eyes.
- Buddha says that an insult looks like a dog shiet: before you throw it in someone, you have to take it in your hand. And you know, he's right, - Sariputra said and, having grabbed a big pile of dog shiet, threw it right in the peasant's face.

She plucked up the courage
To help these stricken creatures
Strewn across the
High tide mark
Scooping one up
From the sand
In her little hands
And threw it
Back in
Shacking her hands
And little fingers
For the bite and sting
that didn't begin
A second
Than a third
Always the shake
Of hands and little fingers after
Her courage collapsed
At the sight
Of so many
I thought
She's going to walk away
She took
Three steps
Looking at those
That were left
Too my surprise
She dropped
To her knees
In the shallows
And brought her little hands up
To her face
In prayer
She whispered
Silently
Quietly
Her prayer
For the ones
She didn't have the courage
to save
In the shallows
And lapping waves
How refreshing
To see the faith
of the young
I looked and inspected
My faith
In that sunny moment
Bruised
Battered
Dinted
But some how
This little girl
With the show
Of her courage
and faith
Renewed mine
Just a little
In the human race

When we married in church
you swore a solemn vow,
now you’ve left me in the lurch
shacking up with that vile cow.
In front of the lawyer you just lied
crocodile tears shed, how you cried
your betrayal of us can’t be denied
You launched a vitriolic attack
stabbing me cruelly in the back
scruples are the one thing you lack
It’s for honesty I now search -
I find trust so difficult now
Family life you cast aside
abandoning me and our son Jack
FICTION POEM – I started another poem but found it too emotional to write about the real betrayal in my life by my sister

Opened my eye awoken by a thought
Palms all sweaty, hands all shacking the worlds definately changing.
Everywhere I turn is re-arranging
Everyone is ex-changing soon there will be no refraining.
Father, there is too much complaining this world is aching
Everyone is taking while our children are breaking.
Vanity and war are now matchmaking
Father can't their see that these politicians are dividing
There is no-one truly guiding.
Leaders of this world, why are you backsliding
How I wish, you could stop all this hiding and start deciding.
Families are dying, mothers are crying and all you are doing is lying
Why not try some honest applying.
Aern't you tired of all the falsifying
Look around you soon your greed will make this world horrifying.
Why are you so afraid to be a leader who is magnifying
Leaders of all nation
One day you will have to be the one
To do some justifying.

Icebreaker
Stomach in a knott
Got the jitters
Got the runs
Anxiety on its high.
Made a choice to recite
Poetry of the night
Heart pounding
Knees shacking
Eyes bulging
Crowd waiting.
MOTHER
This decision isn't right
Crowd staring
Words choking
Got stage fright.
Having doubts
Looking scared
Holding onto the mic
MOTHER
I need to take a quick flight
Got to get out of sight.

Bridge cards aren't for everyone
just those who have real need
Not meant for all those college "kids"
that party and smoke "weed"
Not meant for all those shacking up
with a "daddy" in the house
His room and board? It's on our dime
he's a government sponsored louse
Not meant for all those gambling addicts
ponies, cards and slots
Nor tires and wheels for pimp mobiles
making haves, out of (have nots)
Not meant for big screen TV sets
oops that's right, they are
X-box set with all the games
you're treated like a star
It's all measured, by the masses
and how we live, (I guess)
Even cars just ten years old
are causing too much stress
Not knocking those that really need
just those that "win and play"
making us, taxpayer fools
while they enjoy their day
When the wage, hits fifteen plus
they won't give up their checks
That "nagging injury" that they have
has made their life complex.....

A giant bee is buzzing
Just outside the window pane.
My silent wish that he would leave,
It seems, was made in vain.
He's circling around the roof
With not a hint of going;
His loyalty to that one spot
Shows not one sign of slowing.
I worry, though, about his friends
For bees that seem to thrive,
Instead of shacking up alone,
Will habitate a hive.
Perhaps he's only passing through
And working out his wings,
But I'm afraid he's found the place
For testing out his stings.
The joys of spring are balanced out
With nettles, thorns and stingers,
For beauty sans a little pain
Will slip right through our fingers.

It is raining
Is a hurricane blowing
No speck of light is showing
The fear is now growing
Demonic voices overflowing
it's the ghastly reaper hacking
All the demons are snacking
hoping to cause some flacking
The reaper wants to start some shacking
danger danger...danger..
Only feeling the ground spinning
Who will it be to start winning...
Or will it just be sinning...?

Hearts racing.
Soul is shacking
Afraid of what lies beyond
Each day pasting
Drawing me closer to that day
Slowly or even fast
Who knows how long this life will last.
The cold touch of death begins to approach
Not knowing what to expect.
Is there a life after death?
Or is it just the end of my world
Do I sleep for eternity?
Do I wake from this deep sleep?
No body truly knows.

You have left me:
Happy, spiritual, able to fly
Invincible, numb, light as a feather
Ready for the world, gracious, someone new
Generous, shaded, needed, loved
Rejuvinated, bathed, reborn, cherished
Wanted, held, comforted, warm,great...
You have left me:
Broke, ugly, smelly,mean
A criminal, hated, feared
Unwanted, miserable, homeless
Childless, lifeless, in the cold
With nothing, Scared, heartless
Careless, meaningless, hurting
Shacking, sick, ill, undeniable pain...
How can 1 thing
1 single thing make you feel so good yet so bad
Heroin
Most of all
You have left me dead

Form: I do not know?
Did you feel the trust?
Oh, effervescent lusting
Cracking your core
As the trysting truffles of love
Unfolded?
Cranking at your heart
That came into you, to start
And the piece that you felt
Was it always so irrational?
Misunderstood, by change of good
The nature of what you had
Fell apart.
So you dig it away
And listen to what friends say
For they seem to have your best interest
At heart.
Where did it go? Why did it leave?
And why does it come to stay
After you ask it to recede?
Perhaps, you can’t let go.
So, it re seeded because you
Can’t let go.
Those mongrels in black
Attacking because they lack
That truth that you share
That love and despair.
The shared residence of shacking
Creative love while others were forsaking,
That love that they once felt.
So they push it on you
Creating your mind into a zoo
Of questions of seriousness
And the plunge of a gregarious nature.
An intertwined fate
To be classic
Love and Hate
But passion so deep
It made you loose sleep
So much you perhaps fell
Back into his arms again.
