Salt In My Wounds

With speed of light, my tender heart dropped Stitches burst open, my repairs unlocked Wasn't something I could avoid, nothing I could stop Neither was the handful of salt tossed on top I had truly been feeling a little more at ease Until I stumbled upon something I wasn't meant to see Put to rest, painful memories unfolded before me My wound reopened and started to bleed Two hometown visits and two family meets Again, jumping in with both silly, wet feet Shacking up might be next, wouldn't that be sweet ?? After last year's brutal sh*t show, I ain't having a repeat Nope, won't be seeing this girl's face with a pout She's been hurt more than enough, that is no doubt Onwards and upwards, that's what I'm talking about And one day, he'll realize what he's been left without
