The Rambling Hermit - of a senseless world

Provided all this free time
This free space throughout
Does not ever require it
As does call out for

His round of social graces
Who's unsociable
Is such left, and liberally
To laugh it off more.

O ye senseless senses

Caught in turmoil of tumults five
That life faces from senses naive:
Deer, mesmerized by magic of sweet sound,
Tuskers, by titillating sexual heist,
Moths, maddened by the sight of fire around,
Fish, by meagre morsel of taste,
And bees beguiled by floral smell—
Why? Rings to me no causal bell,
Why are males consumed in sense-soaking spell?

Translations (Sanskrit) | 02.05.2026 | madness/mystic/magic, music, senses, rhyme
Note: This verse as under is often quoted in Indian music treatises:
Lost in music deer are often caught unaware by the hunter, elephants lost in the madness of mating, moths attracted by flares of fire, fish when bite the morsel in bate, and bees lured by flowery fragrance. Here is the transliteration of the Sanskrit verse:
Shabda aadibhih panchabhih eva pancha
       panchatvam apuh svagunaih nirbaddham |
Kuranga maatanga patanga meena bhringaa
       narah panchbhih ranchitah kim ||
kuranga= deer, maatanga= elephant, patanga= moth, meena= fish, bhringa= bee

H has a lovely crush on 8.
Hoping for at least one tiny date.
C likes T but asks out 9.
Numbers and letters out to dine.
You see senseless algebra
Makes me whine.

To make humanity a holy strength

How is the world today?
How was it yesterday?
Did humanity shine like a blessing?
What does our history say ?

We are humans,
but humanity seems to be the hardest
to understand!
It should have been the prime religion
to be followed in all of our land.

We never rose in unity
but practice the culture to preach it like a bird,
our heart breaks in every crisis
but a cry for a humanitarian revolution
is never heard.

Many fought yesterday
to stop the senseless hunger, war and sorrow.
Let us fight even more
to make humanity, a holy strength
in the world of our tomorrow.

Glass Half Shattered

I find my thoughts are often quite destructive or productive
I try to turn the former into something more constructive
My name will live in infamy forever and a day
The loss of independence is the price I have to pay
I dream that putting pen to paper, publishing my woes
Can deter some other creep from traveling down the path I chose
I see these kindred spirits making headlines all the time
Using words like "sick and twisted" may be fair but they malign

All us who decided to be cruel and turn to violence
Linger long in jail or death and do our suffering in silence
But isn't that the way we did our suffering before?
And that just led to bodies bled and senseless acts of gore
The voices of experience in these deeds so macabre
Must speak out against indifference (consider that our job)
We have a second chance to leave a legacy of good
Cause I know I'd take it back if only there's some way I could
Try to piece together and repair half shattered glass
So there won't be any need to fly our flags at demi-mast

The labouring art of poetry
is in true sense, senseless.

It corrupts judgment, strains credit
and prostitutes' self-esteem.

Damn the unhappy day you start it.

Senseless violence, again

I bask in my sorrow
Where once again we must witness
humanity's frail idiocy
Another lone agitator and deceived soul
spreads violence and his ego's greed
It shows the world that he has never
had his own thought.
Can no one spare us from those
that will use this to stand on and see
their pure lying righteous?

SENSELESS DEATH

            no logic in death...
since God did not create us
            just simply to kill!

Premium Member How to? Why do?

Why disturb a functioning country? Why force untried
Socialogical patterns.? Why dis-place positive gender
Roles? Why encourage seperate (communitys?) Then
Advise coming together? (Why?) Why would anyone do
Such iniquity.? Why encourage more people into higher
Education? When there was not enough opportunity?
Thereby leaving manual workplaces needing more applicants? Why cause less birth rates? Encourage even.?
Why alter course? in a (false medical emergency) after
Taking world class advice to go through! to gain bodily
Immunity.?? Why do such evils? Why encourage women
To compete with men? Espicially In hard sports' Why.?

Hamlet, sharpen your sword of trust, for Macbeth is surely waiting.

The specter of ‘Civil war’ stalks the land and the ghosts of senseless violence, so long docile, have come to hollow-eyed attention.

Our cauldron was filled with innocence, as the ever-thirsty succubi require, the glory of war is being shaken, not stirred and the betrayal will be served as quick and cold as steel.

Senseless Days

In senseless ways for days on days
She wandered in nomadic haze
Gazed upon sporadic strays
In clarity to manic craze
Want not for more than place to graze
Where not one seeks to change her ways
To be afloat in sheltered bays
With no ask for the tolls she pays
Barefoot from sole to soul in case
The earth may speak and so amaze
To no specific being she prays
Untimely good while bad decays
While gently down her head she lays
Her weary feet can rest and raise
Making sense of oh so senseless days

Stop the madness, I entreat.
On Southside, Chicago Street
Sparked rat-a-tat of gunfire.
A toddler caught in crossfire!

A Senseless War

Senseless war
The suffering poor
Bombs explode
So much charity to unload

Refugees flee
Casualties they will see
Hiding in stations
In harms way
Such a cruel nation

The rockets light up the sky
In the distance a child will cry
Another nation must intervene
A shocking outcome will likely be seen

Widows grieving
Assistance receiving
A terrible fight
A long suffering night

Crying mothers
sisters mourning brothers
A senseless war
What's it all for?
