Best Senseless Poems
Through the shallows,
Through the depths,
The muck and the mire,
With trembling limbs
I succor the dying,
Strip the layers naked...
A conceit of consciousness
In psychic awareness,
I repute the repudiated
Caught in a self made web
Of hubris, malevolent envy.
Wrath projected...as a
Boomerang, must return.
Ashes back to ashes is
The only transformation
Derived in sustained purgatory.

Senseless
What is it inside the heart of man
That cannot appreciate another’s suffering
Were we born with this senseless implacability
Is it from life itself we grow these calluses of the soul
Are we created not to care
Is the face of nature so coldly ruthless
That we must come to be so
For what belief in anything in which to believe
Should we maim and destroy and kill
What is it that we know so well
That the idea of difference can cause such conceited violence
How do we become so voluntarily indoctrinated
Is it some desperate need to have sense amidst the senseless
To have at least the illusion of a purpose
When then do we celebrate the diversity of our sense to make sense of the senseless
Should every woman and man dream and aspire
And have every man and woman dream and aspire to the same
Or say this love is stronger or this way is better
This truth more truthful than anything anyone else can know
Who’s despicable spirit can live with out some measure of guilt in overfed luxury
While others starve and die in poverty
Are we not as one with this the global identity we call humanity
Are we not basically and essentially all the same
If right there is to pass on righteous judgment
For cultural and social and political and religious difference
Such conviction and contempt is that all we see in our own reflection
When then do we celebrate our diversity of sense to make sense of the senseless

In the plains of Africa another elephant corpse is found,
Despite a ban on trade for ivory since 1989 there is poaching;
Tens of thousands of elephants are brutally killed each year,
Their majestic tusks used to make ornaments and jewelry.
Weak law enforcement and corruption allows this to continue,
The desire for ivory is as big today as it ever was in the past;
Hunters using rifles aim for the brain of helpless elephants,
And all they want are the tusks having no use for the body.
So in the plains the majestic elephant becomes part of the earth,
And just as disgusting to me are the despicable trophy hunters.

Third Place
Love does more than
Temporarily blind
It knocks out
Olfactory senses too.
Not safe in God’s House
In trouble at the Schoolhouse
In danger at the White House
Especially, in our own house
We’re hunted like the old time
Prosecuted
And persecuted
Like breathing was a crime.
Too much racial hatred
This is a new, new apartheid
They want our blood, our sweat
For nothing, for pennies
They want us on our knees
Begging like a cheap pet
Like we have no self-worth
But we rather see early death
In lieu of losing our dignity
Our pride and our humanity.
Another sick and senseless massacre
Another day of mourning
Another day of torture
Our People are tired of suffering
Our safety is in jeopardy
No place to hide our heart, our soul
We can simply pray for a better journey
For better opportunities and a happier role.
We shall overcome
We are not afraid to fight
Until the last beat of the heart
Until the last bell of the bout
We will get Home
When we hear the last words
Of the amazing grace
We belong in this place
And this place belongs to us
We want Peace
But Justice first
We’re angry, hungry and athirst
To see the day when this nonsense
Will stop, will cease
Eating away our sense
Of Happiness
And Fairness
Like a Parisian cheese.
We shall overcome
Not safe in God’s Home
This is another day of sadness
Another journey of unhappiness.

Every soul on the planet knows that people are senseless.
You'd think we'd wise up some over time.
Time and time again people focus on being devious.
Is the way they play their way of being real? People
Who really try to make a difference sometimes spill
Their kindness on arid land when what it really needs is a flood.
And I've tried to provide a flood
Of kindness and love and values, but to them, it's so senseless
And pointless that I'd much rather spill
It on someone who'd give me the time
Of day and actually appreciate what other people
Don't even stop to consider because they're too busy deviating.
From what I've seen, all people know is how to be deviant.
They want to be the ones to unleash the beast, bring the flood
Of deception and drown the truly honest people
Who care enough to even reach out a hand to those senseless
And lost souls. I've lost many a wink and spent many a night time
Thinking of a way to save my blood from being the next to spill.
But I am not the only good-blooded one who posses what they wish to spill.
I am not the only one trying to out-deviate the deviants.
I know someone who, despite the lies she is told all the time,
And despite the pseudo-amorous atmosphere, sees the real flood
Of bull droppings thrown her way. She can see through the senseless
People's transparent lies. She will go farther that most of those people.
It is a skill to be able to feel my spiel about most people
And their mindlessness. I hope I'm not around when they spill
Their mind and speak their hearts and rant and rave in their senseless
Talk. They think they make sense but in their quest to deviate,
They unplug the faucet of all that's bad. They cause the flood
That ruins those who want to bless the world with their time.
I wish someone would bless me with their time.
What do we have to do to rid the world of senseless people?
Shall we pray for another flood?
Or should we take it upon ourselves to spill
The guilty blood? I'm tired of all these people and their deviousness
Who take pride in being senseless.
I, for my part, will not waste my precious gift. I will not spill
My knowledge upon deaf ears and closed hearts and devious
Minds. Because that, my dear reader, would truly be senseless.

Remaining a junkie
Continually spending money
Like a dummy
Life ain't always sweet like honey
It's cold not always sunny
They're out for bloodshed, so it turned bloody
They're still racist full of hatred so times got ugly
When push comes to shoving
I'm covering much ground, important matters I'm touching
Still so many bluffing
My family so out of touch with one another, it's disgusting
I've had difficulty with trusting
And an even harder time with loving
I speak truth not bluffing
They continued fussing
These intentions were good-for-nothing
I felt differently, so I put my feelings toward something
It ended up being drink and drugs, instead of nothing
It's not a great thing, but I'm not just huffing and puffing
I'm often buzzing
Taking my time not always rushing
I'm not budging, through sludge continually trudging
Like the cover of a book, ladies quickly judging
Getting shown little love, no wonder I've been bugging
Not until tragedy hits do they come closer and begin hugging
All this endless and senseless suffering
The population continues to boom at the reproduction rate of bunnies
Rarely do I play pool
You thought I stayed a fool
Okay cool
You lose
This has nothing to do with school rules
It's global way beyond Honolulu
For a good cause or doodoo
I suck at sobriety,
Even though life hasn't been that hard on me?
What excuse do I have
When I have all this support?
I'm powerless,
Been that way since 16.
There's been times that I thought that I'd changed,
Then the old me returns to turn up the heat.
I'm not a lost soul,
But I'm well on my way at this rate.
I can't seem to get ahead of my demons
Because I had no faith.
I fear myself,
My lack of self control when I'm the author of my fate.
You think the worst,
Expect the best,
Awfully high hopes for having no hope.
Teardrop
Crimson rivers flood our streets For every fallen fellow man
As hatred rears its head White, black, and in-between
Bullets penetrate our peace Heartbreak follows everyone
And leave our innocent dead… Its color is unseen.
Does pigment of the skin reflect So many tears are shed today
The morals we hold deep Tomorrow will bring more
It’s not our color that defines The weight of teardrops crushes deep
Who hurts more when they weep. And drowns one to the core…
Misguided by a blind desire Approach mankind with loving eyes
To judge our fellow man Look deep and cause no fear
Such bias tempts a sinful act Skin color shows no person’s soul
We strive to understand. For all teardrops are clear...
Prejudice still finds a way -By: Meghan C. Hutchings
To seal a person’s fate
This cycle, kept alive by few
Who live and die through hate...
This world may always harbor some
Whose ignorance won’t cease
But glance around with open eyes
Most people yearn for peace.
Hear the calls of war
Tears falling in the dark night
Falling on deaf ears
I approached the building again as always
wearing wires concealed by my unborn child
hunger returned while I feasted on raw
celery sticks and half eaten chicken bones
I'd wonder where exactly I belonged here
among the fallen the dead beings reaching
for honor in a forgotten world where stars
and stripes stare down at humility
while a sudden flush of freedom simply
takes your breath away panting occurs
as air becomes a personal diamond mine
prepared for the willingly to die spies seeking
solace behind enemy lines of stolen dog tags
of rewritten survival skills sending chills of fear
in a childlike expression covered beneath
wartime benefits and maritime housing corporation
tainted beyond the meek the weak who reaps
for us in a senseless notion of where home was found
after we return to glory shores and meaningless
emotional balance trapped in tomorrow's yesterday
Petrified pottery ponders plots. Ploys play putting purring. And a frantically fraternising pickle arch can glow on many a skyline at dusk. In many hues. Many dusks many arches many hues and many hues mean many hundreds and many hundreds mean invite to investment of innermost inherited insectivorous institutionalised ignorant ignoramus's ingots'. But glowing of an ear bug is common in a torque typed torture chamber and a chamber is not a champion nor a charred crispy cross crossed conifer. Camels that eat hard cheese are said to be better prophets than penguins on skateboards. Fornicating false frocks falsely fall. And a little black and grey horse was speaking kindly to a tiny ball of fur which turned out to be a mouse name but cat in shape and body. How rather cruel! And derogatory too. Yet the smirking slug like actions secreting slime of a prawn headed monster with many man tentacles' and tentacles are terror and definitely not treacle treading treats. Salivate not a big bit of pie then? Fir pie is a composition of sorts types and kinds and akin to a pulsating ball of confused idiosyncratic ideological wisdom of orders originating from a glass bottom jug which weighs forty two kilos and cost eleven cities, two million towns, twenty thousand small villages, and ten hamlets. These are in a deposit global zone. A whirl of supposed suppository suppers in stupors seen but senseless. It is wise to break a mould then to create a new work for the art show shower. And bathe before baking the perimeter of pie. For pie without radius is a ravishing radish reaching radii. And how polite is a polish then? No ha no x and a big x to it as well. And one should always dangle mirrored glasses while wearing a sun hat and riding a one centimetre bull down the tidal bores. Z refurbishment z at two hens to twenty one ducks at half time. Z
Judge Not; Lest You Be Judged
Judgement preys on mankind’s weak,
The fickle-minded soul
Where ignorance and hatred peak
Begins the tragic toll…
Where stereotypes rear ugly heads
And lies become belief,
Where trust stays buried under dread
The world is left with grief…
Injustice follows damaged minds
Where better views are flawed
Biased vision taints one’s view
Cold hearts remain unthawed…
This cycle culminates in pain
And humankind’s demise
Such senseless acts full of disdain
Place heartache on the rise…
Let not these prisoners of hate
Destroy our unity
In time, these simple minds of late
Will face their destiny…
You and I can find the peace
The love that’s colorblind
These acts of cruelty must cease
Embrace all of mankind…

Questions of yesterday
have been left unanswered
Riddles have filled the mind
Wondering day by day
Trying to finding answers
To why the wind cannot be seen yet felt
It is a senseless world’
You never know when,
a “black death” thumb instead of a “green” one,
will murder your flowers while,
you’re on vacation.
Co-workers, well-meaning;
can slaughter your workplace joy
if you ask them to,
plant-sit in your absence.
Like the pet hamster that,
you had as a child;
beloved plants fall prey to,
untalented or uncaring hands.
Never stolen like tissues, Pens and notepads;
plants re-greet you while,
hanging onto their last breath of air.
Now, aren’t you glad you came back?
