The Long Distance

The Moon descended into my room
To thank me for leaving you
For your smile had outshone its silver glow

"It wasn't a choice," I whispered,
"But an altar, to fill our plates."
Beyond the seas, hearts long for each other.

Give us the pain,
the hunger,
the lust.

You judge
our vivid emotions

with straight bitterness
and angst.

In the veiled,
shy gloom
where we sit,

preaching
our wisdom—

a work of art,
a craft.

We speak
with universal themes,

battles
with self-esteem.

You judge
our self-worth,

rejecting
our executed potential

with your childish sarcasm.

Immovable blackness—
anger
and resentment.

The unfairness
of life.

Are we
deficient?

Our beautiful images,
our overzealous light—

our sacrifices,

devoured
and discarded.

They say you need
To make sacrifices
Give something up
To make things work
That its hard work
Losing part of yourself
Even if for greater good

But while it may be true
That certain things I do
Are just for you
I've never once felt it a sacrifice
Because it always been
The easiest thing I've ever done

Not once have I been disappointed
Never dejected, sad, or grim
And every time you thank me
I feel bad accepting praise
For something that came so easy
Yet you're always so appreciative
Never take a thing for granted
It makes me try ever harder
To be the man you think I am

Sin

And I know, from freedom and by fate,
that the sky will weep upon us, Kohl in tears of virgins who has never taste,
the night that caste the shadows of its veil upon our decayed flaws on sand,
Glory remains the struggle to embracing a sent of belonging to a homeland,
The sorcery in your eyes steals the soul, I swear by my sacred-self and the Ghoul,
The roses I once plucked withered, burning, turning, sacrifices to my widowed,
Your burdens plant upon my back the weight of the past, once thought to last
Your wounds stain my hands with the blackness of guilty blood and dirty mud

And I realize that I am utterly ignorant of the holiest meanings of purity,
that I have profaned the sacred—
and if there is possibility to piety, it will mess my sanity and rip my dignity.

The Flames of The Street

Love is life, suffering, sacrifices,
The exchange of glances, sometimes tinged with hypocrisy,
Tears wiped away, gestures that fade.
Hearts harden with every argument, every scream.
In the gut, pain is engraved.
It’s a battle, a struggle, a never-ending war,
For honor, for pride, for a tumultuous future,
Where you cling to the other like a certainty dusted with doubt.
Love is that flame that refuses to die.
It’s a hymn to life, a refusal to bow,
Under the weight of trials and painful betrayals.
Love is holding on, staying the course despite an accumulation of intimate shames,
When the world pushes you to lose your faith.
It’s that strength, that rage that guides you,
Love is never giving up.

A song of my inner self

My height hurts my height,
I mean of freedom,
freedom in any angle,
mainly for my inner self.

Unjustly treated height,
opportunities between my fingers,
anger conquering my heart,
hurting that right of love,
mercilessly.

The time is near,
for heights to faint
and have no more control,
over love, trust and opportunities,
through sacrifices, sweat
and sweet fruits.

Premium Member PRAISE BE TO GOD WHO WELCOMES OUR OFFERINGS AND SACRIFICES

January 16 Praises to God Bible Meditations Based on Genesis 46-47

Key Verse– Genesis 46:1 And Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices unto the God of his father Isaac.

PRAISE BE TO GOD WHO WELCOMES OUR OFFERINGS AND SACRIFICES

Praise be to God for welcoming us to offer sacrifices unto Him Who:
Speaks to us with His “I am God” with assertion
Secures us with His “Fear not” assurance
Settles us with His “I will surely bring thee up” affirmation.

Genesis 47:12 Praise be to the Lord for nourishing us with His:
Bread’s bountifulness despite famine and fruitlessness
Benefits’ blissfulness despite failure of money
Business’ bonuses despite fear of futility. Amen!

THE SACRED SACRIFICES

as the bahotalusheke are doing incantations,
other bavila clans are killing some animals.

Ode To Freedom

Awakening today to a newly retired life,
I'm more attuned to the world around me,
Grateful our freedoms mean little everyday strife,
Unlike hapless people across the sea.

Let's appreciate this weekend,
Others' sacrifices for this blessed land,
Not let political squabbles our unity rend,
Instead offer each other a helping hand.

Peace Vs Reality

I
We all enjoy some peaceful moments & this is a basis to think more deeply about greater peace but for those who have no moment of peace and shalom to remember, they may lack pegs upon which to hang ideas of such positive feelings and fraternity.

II
We learn from Dr. M. L. King Jr. that quietness is NOT peace.

III
Peace is a porridge, or stew, if you may
You will need to prepare - no other way
To wish the menu to suddenly shew
Had we bought or grown ingredients few
We may begin to approximate the meal
But ants versus crickets reveals the deal:
Industry will welcome winter; carefree lives
Expect magic: good food or Peace to thrive

Sacrifices

We've made so many just to please others
Leaving parts of ourselves behind:
Pieces of our heart and soul, just to see other people happy. Ignoring what we need.
Today it stops with me.

I'm taking care of myself, and what I need
To hell with you... I'm done making sacrifices
At my own expense. Giving up what dreams I
Have.

Pleasing others came easily, until they took
advantage of my kindness and generosity.
No longer will I be walked upon...
as if I was someone's doormat to wipe their
dirty shoes upon.

Sacrifices are done, turn and walk away if you
you must...angry? Good I won't shed a tear...
see you maybe in the next life.

Premium Member Life Sacrifices

This to live as dying; and to die as living
Pondered by all, and weighed with a cost
This a life carrying, bearing your own cross
A virtue most noblest of any human being

Life, love, and leisure and all its pleasures
A kiss of a child and embrace of a loved member
Conversely a world so dark and fallen immensely
Found precious person jewel; now your life with treasure

Life reflective is a view of a composite collection of peoples,
friends, lovers and comrades hugged, faced to lovingly embrace
The future hidden in time but yet already put in place; a certain
hope in faith with our given or chosen landscape which induce fate

Intersection

The words kept echoing in her mind
Like lightning in a stormy night
Her Heart forgot its rhythmic schemes
Missed several beats
A baffled smile came first
Then a rainbow burst with all its colors on her face

How long did she wait
For those three magical words to be said!
And there____ they were spoken

Her eyes closed,
His eyes fixed on her,
He asked___ don’t you
She raised her head, but couldn’t answer,
Between the eyes and him
A couple of tears beclouded the scene

Wiping the water from her face
He asked____why___with grace
She replied while turning her sight
towards the swaying Silken Tent___white
I am sorry____ I couldn’t get to you,
I got to honor my pleages ,
I don’t belong here___you do

Far above, the sky roared with its full might
She could see the swift clouds running from the horizon
To the zenith’s points, making a Dom of dark Clouds
Enclosing the earth like a body in grave…

He stood there___firm
She left
But her heart……

Sacrifices

As your eyes were closing, mine were opening - to the horrors of the day,
I would have gladly changed places- with you- where you lay.
I wish I'd leaned over and inhaled your last breath
So that it entered my living body and wouldn't be known as death.
In a way you've beaten cancer, because it too has had its time,
But it cost you your life, my Love
And it's also taken mine.

True Sacrifices

living not unto this world,
where vices and habits thee hold!
to walk in unsure path,
never too narrow nor too straight.
to do what is right,
even though it sometimes is out of sight.
to do what is just,
even though it can trouble you about!
holding unto your faith,
even though there's pain.
suffering that shows strength,
working and living a true calling.
seeking with direction,
goals with just foundations.
true sacrifices with no malice intentions:
justified and righteous,
that even though it hurts,
just going out of your way to help,
enough just to be called Christians with true righteous answers.
