Sacrifices

They say you need
To make sacrifices
Give something up
To make things work
That its hard work
Losing part of yourself
Even if for greater good

But while it may be true
That certain things I do
Are just for you
I've never once felt it a sacrifice
Because it always been
The easiest thing I've ever done

Not once have I been disappointed
Never dejected, sad, or grim
And every time you thank me
I feel bad accepting praise
For something that came so easy
Yet you're always so appreciative
Never take a thing for granted
It makes me try ever harder
To be the man you think I am
