Floral Reminders

I find that flowers are not complicated
Although they all have meaningful names
When you approach a flower
There is no reason to ever explain yourself

I find that flowers are uncompromising
What you see is what you get
No need to push past a facade
There is no reason to protect yourself

I find that flowers are not intrusive
They lay no claim to your soul
You are free to just be
There is no reason to unfold yourself

I find that flowers are artwork on the earth’s canvass
They supply our world with a colorful finish
A reminder that you are amazing and imperfectly complete
There is no reason to ever diminish yourself

Premium Member Reminders of You

Birdsong in the morning, droplets of dew
Jog memories of a loved one, missed so
Spectacular sky of heavenly blue
Birdsong in the morning, droplets of dew
Days lovely as this remind me of you
All things splendorous out on worldwide show
Birdsong in the morning, droplets of dew
Babbling brooks and whispering winds that blow.

Birdsong in the morning, droplets of dew
Spectacular sky of heavenly blue
Days lovely as this remind me of you
All things splendorous out on worldwide show
Jog memories of a loved one, missed so
Spectacular sky of heavenly blue.

Reminders of Him

Nostalgia makes me feel wight,
he makes me fright.

I have tried to seek help of his,
but he just sets me free.

I have frowned,
I have fought,
but he didn't try to give it a thought.

I have cried,
I have tried,
But we just happen to divide.

Our paths have been closed,
I guess we are not supposed.

Live
Like it's a blessing to be alive...

Laugh
Like you mean it and experience the joy in life...

Love
Like your heart knows it's the cure...

Dream
Like you can do anything at all...

Believe
Like magic is everywhere to be found...

Hope
Like your soul is free and endlessly unbound...

Trust
Like you know God is always there for you...

Pray
Like you feel His love and peace so true...

Reminders

Candle lights go out in a blow
to set off the party event in a go,
knife in hand I slice the icing,
all faces around turn on their grin,
the flow of red cream in slow motion
seemed to dance to a song in commotion,
the dainty bite that I took in
let my heart speak out from within;
Birthdays are Reminders
to Thank LIFE for all it offers,
Birthdays are Reminders
to offer LIFE one’s Prayers.

Premium Member Feathers As Reminders

Feathers flying out
Of a hole in my blue coat
Serve as reminders
That I am never alone,
Even as I walk alone.

Angel's Whispered Reminders - To Each In Its Trust

You are what you were; and
What you always will be:
Yourself; unique as that! Awe's for its truth.
Does plainly and simply.

Capping stone of what in
A lifetime's compliments
Rise, pyramidal, for. Day's slavish whispered
"You're doing well" augments.

Premium Member Little Reminders

Words of hope
Help me to cope

Inspiration knows
Happiness glows

Heaven brings delight
With colors of insight

Growing old and wise
Harbors no flaming guise

Music to the gloomy soul
Often makes one whole

I looked at the fern
Spread like a fan in the woods
            Yellow fragile leaves
I spread my arms just the same
       Welcome reminders growing

Reminders

Tonight
I stood under a dying sunflower
and silently marveled at the
warm painted sky
as the sun dipped down
to kiss another day goodnight.

Basking in the silhouette
of what was,
I began to rediscover
hope for what is yet to come.

There is a beauty in these endings,
in the knowledge that
the beauty of what was
is not diminished by wilted leaves or darkened skies;
it will always have been a masterpiece.

And so too will this time spent
laughing and loving and discovering the core of who I really am
always be a moment of eternal beauty.

As the seeds fall
from the drooping flower,
birds and bees and all between
will find nourishment that will sustain
through the coming cold.

As the sun disappears behind the horizon
and the darkness of the night caresses
the bends and folds of the earth,
the crickets rise
and somewhere far off,
another day begins.

These times are not easy to dance with,
but hope breathes
in the knowing that all will one day be
reconciled.

The sun will rise,
seeds will fall and resprout,
and I will once again be reminded
of what it is to flourish in the
warmth and peace of this life.

All is not lost.

Premium Member Critical Reminders

The faith that capitalism
is the only viable democratic economic system
we have experienced,
or could even ecologically imagine,
MotherTrees to resilient complex forests,
EarthMothers to a resonant democratic society

Reminds me
of the faith that retributive punishment
is the only viable governing political system
we have cooperatively owned and experienced,
or could ever theologically
and resonantly manage
and compassionately imagine
restoring healthy peace,

Reminds me
of the faith that continuing to do the same competitive things,
make the same win/lose mutually feared assumptions,
will eventually result in some different
and less EarthClimate overheated
and critically pathological outcome,

Reminds me
of Einstein's faith that repeating
competing business as usual default
unreasonably defines left v right handed
and footed
and bicameral hearted
and headed insanity.

Premium Member Heavens Reminders

Green Luna moths, cardinals and dragonflies too
Freeist beings on earth is butterfly
Dusky moth form a spiritual tree.

All effortlessly gliding from heavenly sky
Each being born from angel’s heartfelt cry
Exuding great beauty without a try,

Eretheal angels like to sit
Their enhanced beauty great as star above.
Great snapshot moments as they flirt and flit

Excrete whispers to each by sweet morning dove
Keeping warm counsel from me and from you.
Fully aware they are expressing love.

Landing lightly for a sip of warm dew
Garden minxes and brownies they do play
Heavenly secrets are less than a few

Giving us this joy each and every day
Reminds us of Father God in every way.

Winter Reminders

Fireworks,
I drove past winter pastime from long ago
Today, the same bridge is in mourning
Lighted bright red
With timely reminders of loved ones.
