Notes About The Poem

Reminders of You

Birdsong in the morning, droplets of dew Jog memories of a loved one, missed so Spectacular sky of heavenly blue Birdsong in the morning, droplets of dew Days lovely as this remind me of you All things splendorous out on worldwide show Birdsong in the morning, droplets of dew Babbling brooks and whispering winds that blow. Birdsong in the morning, droplets of dew Spectacular sky of heavenly blue Days lovely as this remind me of you All things splendorous out on worldwide show Jog memories of a loved one, missed so Spectacular sky of heavenly blue.

Love this Beryl it was a heartfelt piece relating a loss of a loved one. High marks my friend a winner in my eyes. This was a magnificent write that in my humble opinion should have gotten a high placement in the contest. Blessings your way...

Thank you Michael, it’s always disappointing to see N/A after one’s name, still it’s a chance one takes when entering a contest, I guess most losers feel the same, poets feel proud of their poetry, but it’s all in the name of the game… Beryl

Thank you Jennifer, apart from having my husband ill at the moment I’m as well as I could be in the circumstances. Writing does help and so does the lovely responses from the beautiful people on PoetrySoup. Blessings returned, Beryl

Wonderful--It seems so bitter-sweat how the more glorious our surrounding the more we rue the absence of a loved one. It's a bit like missing the passing of one's mother each time a lovely song come to mind. Touching. You have employed Milton's Trionet form with a unique and eloquent phrasing. Robert soupmail

Wish you well in the contest sister Beryl, some of the contests are so confusing, I prefer the limerick ones myself.
