Spiritual Gem Inside Me

A jewel breathes inside of me
In a chrysalis where a rose
Breaths the covenant
Promise born from the heart of perfection
Where intoxicating remnants of a garden
Linger
Whispering,
Beckoning me home
Through the sweet scent of grace
Humming lullabies
As my petals open
To leaves of reconciliation

My Hope waits in silence
With the promise to circumcise
My uncircumcised heart
With sacred oils
Running over my head,
Down my chin,
As I put on the mantle of mercy
Bathed in balm and incense
Enfolded in this troth

I, a child in waiting,
Readies to bloom
Like the lotus flower
Rising
From murky depths
Where I have planted my roots
Seeking
The alabaster bouquet of the Daystar
In floral facets of fragrance -
Goodwill and kindness

My gem,
My gift, this rose,
No hardened stone
A crystal still forming
Unlike wilted blooms
Refined
By the perfume of the Refiner
A prelude
To an unblemished jewel
Abiding
Among many
Worn in the victorious crown of glory.

the zone in spine with heart aligned
sphere-shaped, heart of God
awareness self-aware
aglow with love
full of light
we are
That

bliss hum
in head ovoid
conjoined with heart
readies the earth vehicle
to echo love’s divine pulsation
that in resonation with God’s will
all actions in this realm be enacted

Pedagogical Veracity

Socrates to Plato
Emerson to Thoreau

When the student is ready, the teacher will appear
Invaluable lessons will be on display for him to feel, see, and hear

Ali to Larry
Jordan to Kobe

If the student is willing, he will do the valiant work
He would rather not be the teacher; instead, he aims to show his worth

Picasso to Warhol
James to Michael____

Teacher to student
From shadow to lucent

Teacher to student
From unwise to prudent

A smart man studies and learns from the best
He knows and respects the work and readies himself for his test

Premium Member What Are We

It is the grey of evening...soft lamps glow as our hood readies itself for some crumbs of comfort:

Old widows wrap themselves with pillows for third- hand affection,
Children yawn sure as day that mothers will lullaby them like so ,
Single fathers brew coffee to tide them from a hard day's sweat-
Senior men listen to music begging for new memories...
Young ladies lonely shut off their doors... praying Psalm 91,
Grandmothers pick up stale needlework, avoiding
pain of abandonment and senility

It is evening. This is where we are...getting older in wisened thoughts , to gather slivers of reflections, of dreams met and unmet...

And night shivers a bit asking: how will we savor to the pulp, this one beautiful life possessed?

And the light shuts off.

Premium Member Pills of joy

Amid thunder and lightning,
The holy act of mating of clouds,
Results in the birth of raindrops!
Knowing their assigned mission,
Like bullets they hit the ground
To quench the thirst of the earth!
The soaked earth in turn readies
The seeds beneath it to sprout!
Overnight, all over, the earth appears
As if it is clad in green velvet cloth!
Sensing the smell of the earth,
From their safe havens, animals
Feeling a great sigh of relief
joyously come out dancing,
Celebrating the arrival of raindrops!
Transforming themselves into streams,
Traversing forests, fields and villages,
Filling the wells and tanks, raindrops
On earth do bring in a festive fervor!
Raindrops are not simply water drops,
They are elixirs for crops so different!
Pearl shaped pills of joy for mankind!!

Before the seed of thought is allowed to sprout,
it is best we pause and examine the cause,
filtered through lens of love, to be free from doubt,
because oh hermit, our heart’s not free from flaws.
Each breath intake readies us for a fresh bout
but we must be mindful to obey God’s laws,
recognising that He alone is the light,
that lights all other lights by day and by night.

Courtroom

The jury sits stoic and pensive with unwavering eyes
Set upon me like a lock on prey
Persecution for the crime of being small
Groundless accusation I have yet to discern
Though it seems the world has already done so
I am by fault a timid being
Created, it seems, by a mind set on juxtaposition
I am neither here nor there
Neither bright nor shadow
I stand with shaking knees
Sit with shaking hands
Interrogated for moments or hours
I’ve been forced to shrink
Forced to fold into myself,
But I am the one standing before a judge
The verdict readies itself to change a life
I receive my sentence with salted, glass eyes
Doomed to life without a chance

Winters Sun

Winters Sun.

Crystal shapes on the windowpane, glistening in the morning sun. Fields all ploughed now show the signs of Jacks skates from the night, birds all flown just the winter animals left to roam.

Summer garbs now replaced thick woolly jumpers hats and scarves are now all the craze. Children moan at the long cold nights, while others enjoy cups of hot chocolate tea, ensconced in warm and happy homes, while outside the snow lightly falls.

St Nick his turn soon to come, readies his list and the reindeer team, till that day fingers and toes both young and old, feel the cold from doing chores in winters sun.

Premium Member The Last Organ Grinder

Donning a vintage coat, boots, hat and all,
the last organ grinder readies his smile,
outside the old age home, heeding love’s call,
to rekindle heart’s joy, for a short while,
triggering memory elders recall,
recounted to young ones, in life’s last mile.
His next stop is for the autistic child,
where he’ll sing songs by God’s angels compiled.

Premium Member Revived Soul

"In the misty corridors of the soul"
Sublime glow glitters from heavenly pole
Radiating jubilant hope-filled light
To exude warmth for blest reaching-out role.

With triumphant heart of sharing delight
Revived soul now readies toward faith flight
Exalting God for His abundant grace
Smiting gloom in response to earnest plight.

Midst spiritual zest propped by valiant brace
Grateful soul continues to run life’s race
Persistent in conquering grievous pain
Strengthened with ministerial divine rays.

Victoriously treading steward’s terrain
Vibrant soul* spreads love along cheerful gain
Praising the Lord for life, wondrously whole
Since He is the Almighty Who does reign.

*Luke 1:46 ... My soul doth magnify the Lord.

Premium Member Sheba Readies Herself

Sheba woke up happily, eager to tear apart her competitor
Not in a mean devouring teeth-out, sharpen her claws way
She would do it as a lioness would, approaching slowly.
Giving her prey a sense of peace and hope

Springing at the perfect time
Before the woman’s defenses were up
Tearing her competitor’s edges into bits.
Eating the woman’s chances at stealing her promotion.

Premium Member My Daily Special Routine

Propped by God’s precious awakening ray
My breath utters gratitude as I pray.

Praising the Lord for sleep’s optimum rest
My heart throbs toward blest functional zest.

Amidst Bible meditation delight
My soul basks in divine fellowship light.

Along triumphant supplication glow
My faith clings to Christ Who lets blessings flow.

Braced by the Creator’s strength that does reign
My spirit readies for work’s fulfilled gain.

Refreshed after grooming of hygiene goal
My body performs each entrusted role.

Well-doing* with the Almighty’s goodness
My service thanks His most favoured kindness.

Having finished tasks for the day by grace
My gladness ripples with loving embrace.

Admitting sins of human nature bout
My conscience settles in God's peace, sans doubt.

Now, nestling in the Lord's protective care
My hope resounds dreams of morrow's welfare.

*Galatians 6:9 KJV And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

2 Corinthians 12:10 ~ "Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong."
                  ~ The Holy Bible

When I'm bogged down by fears,
Then He reminds, "Be not afraid",
When I'm troubled with tears,
Then He tells me, "Don't be dismayed";
When future's bleak,
He comes along,
When I am weak,
Then am I strong;

When I'm filled with sorrows,
Then He assures, "Be of good cheer",
When I'm tensed 'bout morrows,
Then He comforts, "I'm with you, dear";
When cares exhaust,
He unwinds me,
When I feel lost,
Then He finds me;

When I'm mired in worries,
Then He whispers, "Be filled with peace",
When stalled as time hurries,
Then He confirms, "Wait, be still, cease";
When my feet slip,
He steadies me,
With His strong grip
then readies me.

Miracle Man

Due to lifely issues, numbering a bunch,
quality of life has taken a different track.
Today, Dysphoria is eating my lunch,
and readies itself to pop the sack.

Premium Member Fire and Flood

This time of year
the lake is an island of cool
in a cauldron of heat.
A few months ago,
the surrounding grass
was fed by flood
and stood tall and green
in a bog.
Now it is bleached, bent over
and crackles underfoot.

By January, the landscape
shrivels up and tightens
into a parched,
knotted ball
tensing for the burn.
Baked and blackened,
its ancient soul readies
to resurrect again,
breaking out
of its charcoal sarcophagus
with a green shoot as if
it was giving a raised finger
to fire.
