A brain, coded, deployed, empowered -
before this AI king we cowered.
We once relinquished sovereignty,
to robots who said they'd set us free.
From genuine humanity in joyous kinship,
to conversing with machines, "bip bip bip bip" -
oh, for the days when plates were pewter,
and our best friend was not a computer.
Creativity, dreams, emotions, fun, gifts
spring from the soul, not a chip that grifts.
But in this century's disaster,
the machine is our new lord and master.
Ever formidable giant hardware imperator,
human race destroying conspirator -
you unfeeling, shiftless, silicon thug,
don't look now, but I'm pulling your plug.

Don't get me wrong
the Olympic men's 50m butterfly
was going along swimmingly strong
but I wonder why
or was it a blunder
when the metaphorical rug
was pulled out from under
by some infernal fool
who removed the plug
from the bottom of the pool
while down the water went
was it hell-bent or heaven-sent
as what was to be gained
when after it drained
puzzled spectators and judges
were all which remained

The clock is always ticking
Speedometer spinning along
Wear and tear building up
Traversing life looking to belong
Easy to miss the exit signs
The clock is always ticking
Most of us drive around blind
Our internal light barely flickering
We all have a set number of miles
Unfortunately spend too many in a haze
The clock is always ticking
Time to turn that flicker into a blaze
Rev up the love in your heart
Ignite the flame on the wicking
It’s never too late to fire up your engine
Because the clocking is always ticking

Trump ought to be tried for sedition
But who dares to sign a petition?
The GOP Vault
Claims Trump's not at fault
So forget all about contrition!
( Guess whom has the Vault combination?)

Pulling The Plug And Cutting The Cord
Written: by Miracle man
1-1-2020
As this new year begins, with value I’m teased,
and I toy with thoughts over my coffee mug.
Non-essential increases leave me displeased,
I’m about ready to tell some to just pull the plug.
Once I agreed, to sign up using auto billing,
They must have assumed I was a tired old hack.
It isn’t affordability, but rather “am I willing?”
is the time upon me, to rise and fight back?
Oh, they’ll try to sell me, on a plan I can afford,
Seems everyone needs a raise, everyone but me.
That it isn’t prudent to pull the plug, or cut the cord,
But whatever their plan, I’m sure I’ll not agree.
Because I don’t need cable to watch politicians fight,
or watch Christmas movies for six months instead.
I can sit at my keyboard and bad poetry write,
and no, I didn’t rise, from the wrong side of the bed.

Anyone living on this planet should know
that you need a big cork to plug a volcano.
From way deep down is a powerful force.
The core of the earth is where comes the source.
Up into the air goes ashes and smoke.
It is thick and dark enough to make anyone choke.
On the slopes of the mountain, hot lava flows down.
I would feel sorry if there is a nearby town.
Don't stand around. Just get out of the way.
Look what Vesuvius did to the town of Pompeii.
Some of my friends might toast marshmallows on the slope.
If they asked me to join them, I would just say "nope".

I rolled over in bed
the RCA alarm clock
read ten to nine
I rolled over again
and the Sony clock radio
said it was nine ten
where does the time go
where is the meaning
in this life
I rolled over in bed
pulled the plug
from the wall
looked at the still clock
and went back
to sleep

I saw the pain in your lifeless eyes
Unable to speak, unable to feel
Laying there not knowing if it's a dream or real
A monitor and tubes,, keeping the nightmare alive
I'm sure this is not how you chose to survive
The Doctors give no hope
No chance to thrive
Now it's my decision,
a life and death in my hands.
Do I pull the plug or take a stand
Then I see the pains in your lifeless eyes
Perhaps your eyes beg me to let you die
My tears and fears are just a lie
I pull the plug and say goodbye
It's the hardest choices that make one cry

sitting, spine curling, eyes glassy in rebound reflection
internal struggle in cyberspace brings smiles and a few brief howls
feeding off my own mass, I disregard this reality
neural synapses tickle the pleasure centers free of charge
have I eaten, have I bathed, have I moved in how many hours
regard the fantasy, I am the princess ax in hand
clans form around the click and ping the web drawn tight glows
world within world, the always ever after grows and grows, unreal
reality, the construct of naive minds, re-envisions itself

Crawling through the bush, swinging
grasses behind, soft breeze flows
and grows wilder as the night becomes deeper.
Breathing and puffing she listens for the prey, amidst cries
of crickets, in deal with disappearing chuckling of birds.
Then she captures his bold staunch body
Innocent but intelligent, he admires the beauty of the setting sun
Sighing to himself, astonished by Mother Nature
Then suddenly........
Hunting was once a mans game
Today; the modern day we live it to the women
Not that the end is near, no,
But the roles have changed
Time brings with it wonders
Culture is someone else, women are the hunters

I swallowed an earplug down my left ear and I said to my wife I can't hear and she said we will have to go and see doctor Ofreea Who gave me a prescription for 4 cans of beer which will have to be drunk here in case you feel *****.
So I drank down the beer and I never felt *****
And doctor Ofraya said the plug in my ear should disappear
But it hadn't so doctor Ofreea gave me another prescription for 12 cans of beer
Which we both drank until it was clear we could be here until mid year
Let's have another look down your ear said doctor Ofreea
And he declared I was right it has now disappeared and i replied
But doctor Ofreea
your looking down the wrong ear.
