You Need a Big Cork To Plug a Volcano

Anyone living on this planet should know that you need a big cork to plug a volcano. From way deep down is a powerful force. The core of the earth is where comes the source. Up into the air goes ashes and smoke. It is thick and dark enough to make anyone choke. On the slopes of the mountain, hot lava flows down. I would feel sorry if there is a nearby town. Don't stand around. Just get out of the way. Look what Vesuvius did to the town of Pompeii. Some of my friends might toast marshmallows on the slope. If they asked me to join them, I would just say "nope".

This poem is close to home Robert. I am working on a poem to post about it too. Impossible to cork for sure. Magnificent views of the erupting red hot lava spewing two hundred feet in the air. I feel for those living on the Big Island of Hawaii. I live where it is safe on the island of Oahu. I enjoyed your poem. : )

The title made me smile Robert and we are powerless to stop the forces of nature - I achieved a bucket list dream and visited Pompeii and Herculaneum last year I'd definitely run if a volcano was predicted to erupt otherwise it would be more than marshmallows that were toasted!:-) hugs Jan xx
