internal music
the best unwritten poems,
the pure nature sounds
the tranquility within
one self-calm peaceably talk
What do you see.? Conflict in Isreal, and knife attacks; also some by car so far.' France Sweden, Britian Germany, in the main
By foreigen national asylum seekers.' Is this just madness
Or could there be a pattern.? As it is in the Middle-East' so in
The west so it shall be.? For that is what presents itself' an
Emerging challenge from over many seas.' I beleive this
Could have been engineered? Its like a mirror image looking at me.' Is it time to be out and about ? Albeit peaceably." To deter any thoughts of violence against the
indigenous and indeed of all of the general civil citizenry.?
A merger of holidays was proposed
Young hearts for it
The elderly opposed
Fiercely debated
Bitter grew the divide
Neither young nor old
Could speak peaceably
to the other side…
The holy spirit waded
into the fray
its magical mix infused
love and brotherhood...
Alas and alack
~ Humankind refused
How awful is that,
being killed
in a deadly elephant
attack,
or being eaten
by a crocodile?
You cannot tame
those rhinoceros,
nor ride the backs
of river horses*
or peaceably sleep
in a nest of vipers!
I shall then dwell
within the city,
where the animals
are criminals
and where wolves
live among the sheep.
Nature can be deadly,
nurture even worse,
animals live by instinct
humans live by choice
within the curse;
to do good or do not.
* hippopotamos literally means "river horse," from hippos "horse" and potamos "river"
Freely surmounting impediment hill
My special child propels himself with mirth
Geared up well by his wheelchair journey thrill
Signifying another milestone worth.
Behold his triumphant contagious glee
Toward great well-being zest, he does flee
Perspiring, exuding thanksgiving spree.
Such to me is a miraculous sight
Highlighting answered prayer of faith’s might
Assured by divine grace against doubt’s blight.
Trusting the Lord, I keep peaceably still
Assisting my son to enrich his dearth
So he can be what God wants him to be
Victoriously* soaring for progress height.
*1Corinthians 15:57 …Thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Sponsored by Brian Strand; judged on 3/11/2023.
Lord, help me be who you made me to be,
To be true to myself as well as to others
Help me see the value of every individual,
To live peaceably with sisters and brothers.
Lord, may I be a light to those in darkness
Shining out, a witness to your love and grace,
Not afraid to share the victories of my life
Knowing you entrusted me with this space.
Lord, help me make a difference where I am,
For I long to make your world a better place
Yet I know my influence is most felt at home
Where I learned the moral truths to embrace.
Lord, when I have accomplished all I can do
Please take me home to be forever with you.

Unreality
Am I alive or am I dreaming sometimes I just can’t tell
If this is a dream pinch me quickly and awake me form this hell.
If I’m awake give me something to make my eye’s dreary
That I may rest peaceably while the storm rages on in its fury
Am I Alive or am I dreaming And how can one tell
When logic has lost meaning and reality as well
When tragedy strikes near your tent and family and friends mourn
A loved one has passed and you appear not torn.
You’ve become nonchalant by default frozen in a subconscious state
Only a numb soul remains once reality’s escaped
Am I alive, or am I dreaming or am I dreaming that I’m alive
For what it’s worth perhaps your answers could help reverse
This cycle of my demise
Just you and me, cogitating intently, placidly,
Contemplating peaceably, balance of being,
Listening to birdsongs jubilantly serenading
Tranquility luxuriating upon hills and valleys
Where bees on blossoms propagate symbiosis
Amid euphonic winds soothing glint evening
Caressing buoyancy on ebb and flow of tides
When, upon golden arc, sunbeams subside
Scintillating leisurely amber glow of eventide
Congruent on horizon where pelicans glide
Hushed in sunset ochre, etching crimson sky
On quiescent ocean shore lost in idyllic vibes
Just you and me, placid, in amity of seaside
Calming pulsing beats, consoling complexity,
Breathing-in holy serenity, exhaling impurity~
Transcendent feelings, blissfully in harmony.

Lay your head upon my shoulder.
Tears are heavy, your battle great.
You’ve fought the fight.
You’re in our arms to rest.
We carry you at last, at last,
The end in sight,
Into the darkness of the night.
May God accept you peaceably .
May your heart be beating,
Beneath His awesome wings.
I hope your wings soar.
Whispering “I love you.”
Hope you hear it…
All the love we can give
It’s all we can give.
It’s everything.

Nearly at the end of the year
so much has happened in this time
it makes one to truly reflect
about life and why it should rhyme
So many restrictions had to face
can't do this and can't do that
keep one's distance from others
making sure no stranger you'll chat
But have to think on positivity
look deep inside find some light
it can't be all bad surely NO!
learn to be content peaceably bright
This pandemic has sent us off guard
wondering when it will reach an end
at any moment one can catch it
but live in hope, a fix is round the bend
Now a vaccine is coming sometime soon
there is sun shining over the rainbow
but never forget so many have suffered
be thankful you're alive, be simply aglow
(I've written this looking on my reflections on the last year, a year like no other and my experience of it.)
Change or Revenge?
Written: by Miracle Man
6/10/2020
Silly season’s here and temperature’s ripe,
A time that finds many airing a legitimate gripe.
Many affix hand to a sign and join the throngs,
but revenge never cures our previous wrongs.*
For those who might seek, “an eye for an eye,”
Black Lives Matter has become a rallying cry.
We can’t change past history but we can restart,
But first lets let Jesus have control of our heart.
Romans 12 KJV
17 Repay no one evil for evil.
Have regard for good things in the sight of all men.
18 If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.
*19 Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath;
for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord.
Today I live comfortably, peaceably
Tonight a hurricane washes ashore
Tomorrow I am homeless, secure no more...
Today I have a challenging job and work
for someone I greatly respect and admire
Tomorrow morning, the company goes belly up
I'm out on the street, carrying a sign
'Day Laborer for Hire...'
Today my country is flourishing, the economy humming
Tonight we are attacked by a nuclear superpower
Tomorrow death and destruction everywhere
In every crack and crevice, like rodents, we all cower
Why does man pray? Who does he pray to?
Insecurity pumps to and from his heart like crazy
He stands naked before his Maker, every sinew and artery exposed
Beseeching the Almighty for Mercy, eyes and heart wide-open now
His purpose no longer hazy --- energetic! ~ Long vanquished is lazy!

Drunk on emotions she wandered,
through forests of anguish and pondered,
vile, those years squandered;
go away yesterday.
Breathless she runs through life,
tumbling in rivers of strife,
memories like a cutting knife;
go away yesterday.

"when beasts of regret roam free,"
"slay them that I may live peaceably";

Alas, she wanders still,
round each bend looms anxieties hill,
her destiny guided by will;
go away yesterday.
5 May 2018, Rhyme & Refrain Contest by Broken Wings
We were committing unabominable crimes -
Rhymes that are rewarded to us since ancient times
I think I'll be doing fine
While our souls combine
As long as our love is yours and mine
Lord, just show me a sign
You're like a meal with wine
Your love clings on to me like a vine...
Here, we'll happily and peaceably dine...
As long as our love is divine
Lord, please show me the stars align
Your vitality is the loveliest of pine
I do believe you and I will be all fine
As long as You are our vivacious vine
As long as the moon and sun shine
Lord, Your glorious joy is next in line
You...yes You...are two less than nine
Which is completeness beyond time...a dime without grime...
The real deal beyond its sublime prime...a Corona with lime...
