Magical Mix

A merger of holidays was proposed
      Young hearts for it
         The elderly opposed

    Fiercely debated
       Bitter grew the divide
    Neither young nor old
       Could speak peaceably
         to the other side…

    The holy spirit waded
       into the fray
    its magical mix infused
       love and brotherhood...

    Alas and alack
      ~ Humankind refused

We need that Holy Spirit to get into the mix can't leave it up to us humans. Love your encouragement in this one my friend. We need to spend more time praying and forgiving then fighting with one another. Can you imagine God's reaction looking down on us? He stills loves us but I bet he's shaking his head. Thank you Gershon for sharing, this makes you stop and think of when mankind will try and get along...
