Go Away Yesterday
Drunk on emotions she wandered,
through forests of anguish and pondered,
vile, those years squandered;
go away yesterday.
Breathless she runs through life,
tumbling in rivers of strife,
memories like a cutting knife;
go away yesterday.
"Meadows are easily forsaken" says she,
"when beasts of regret roam free,"
"slay them that I may live peaceably";
go away yesterday.
Alas, she wanders still,
round each bend looms anxieties hill,
her destiny guided by will;
go away yesterday.
