Premium Member A Jolly Folly Christmas

Cranberry garlands the Christmas tree
Piña empanadas and gifts of filigree
Children’s faces aglow
Kissing ‘neath the mistletoe
Midnight mass tradition with family

Shadow

Shadow,
Deceptive pal
Presenting darkness as light,
silencing courage with tears’ veil
Depart.

Poet Love

I love you
Like I love life
As the poet
Loves his words
I love you like the rainbow
Meets the clouds to chat with birds

I love you laughing loudly
I love you when you call
When you flourish
When you're happy
When you need me, most of all

For this love declaring poem
Isn't scary to extreme
There's a place in every moment
For a friendly heart
To dream

For I love you
When I'm sleeping
Or the middle of the day
Love is simply a connection
That may never drift away

So save yourself some bother
Just relax
And know it's true
I don't need reciprocation
All I need to know is you

MY PAL!

She walked above the clouds, high on the hill
Rough as the water, soft as the rock.
Rose above the drowning night,
Shining above the gleaming light!

A line of pure, book-honored
She was a poem herself
Realizing through the war of chases.

On a random night of songs,
She is the one I pick to dance to!

My Pal Dan

Sat writing this, in memory of my pal Danny K
Just a few pints and a couple packets crisps, is what we used to say
I just wanted you to know, ill be forever grateful that we met
Ill hold on to the memories we made, all too good to forget
So much left to say, now there just words left unspoken
Hard to believe your really gone, many hearts left broken
You changed my life in ways you'll never know
Absolutely devastated it was your time to go
Off up to paradise pal, where they only take the best
May you be at peace, may you be at rest

Understand All, My Dearest Pal

Life is going on just like that
We lose and also at times get

One day, we register success
Next day, God does not bless

We all get twenty four hours
Daily on this vast Universe

Some face utter failure
Many somehow endure

We know not others' worries
We may even plan to tease

Struggling souls may be quiet
But, their thoughts make riot

Their face will deeply smile
Though in life they will fail

They will appear damn strong
But, fate will do them only wrong

Their tears are just concealed
They are by God never healed

They do not cry or weep
They may not even sleep

We may see the outer appearance
And think that they lack real sense

Great war, their emotions ever face
To the World, that does not surface

This is the system of the Almighty
He blesses one doing one's duty

Tomorrow when comes a jolly fellow
Inside, his mood may be damn low

So be kind to all equally
That is loved by God really.

Premium Member St Paddy Day Elf Secret Pal

St Paddy’s day elf had a secret pal
He wished it would have been his cousin Al.
It was actually a bunny, which was kind of weird.
For when he thought of the rodent, it appeared.

You must be magic, he said, leprechaun-like, right?
The bunny held on to his leg, and he held on tight.
It was difficult to sneak a gift to the little guy.
He shows up day and night the elf said with a sigh.

Premium Member Pan Pal

Best kitchen utensil, invented by man -
By far favourite, fantastic frying pan!
Be it onion, French toast or eggs and bacon,
My fancy taste buds, drooling unmistaken.
With a light and magic touch of oil drizzle
Lamb loin is seared to savoury sizzle.

Veggies' blend roasted on a pan, to die for,
Never boil them in water, plain wilted bore!
Ah, pancakes, my goodness, grandma's homey treat,
Made with love and care - will knock you off your feet.
And last, not least, ultimate joy of French fries,
With extra depth - all times blessing in disguise!

I know with healthy eating habits I'm screwed,
In regards to fried carcinogenic food.
I should have dumped my pan pal long time ago,
But in denial, I just can't let go.
Way too late to contemplate of what I should,
It’s panned into my identity for good!

A Pal Full of Validation

A peacock to some,
but to others a confident and close friend.
Confidence, humorous,
displays feathers,
selects the perfect mate.

Unbeknownst is he of the
defects
within his selection, too much time
lusting the outside,
never fully knowing the inside.

Secure in his vibrant colors,
overconfident that his mate would never stray.
Too concerned with the outward appearance
of those within their circle.
Neglected is she who grooms the offspring and tends the nest.
Healthier to leave to the injuries she's received,
yet flaws hold her bonded.

Too late you come with the validations
which she required.
Divulged is the straying
with those of lesser colors.
Injurious is it to your
prideful mantle.

Both are now imperfect,
insecure in being,
and require a pal full of time.

Premium Member Pilchard the Penguins New Pal

Pilchard the penguin was going to school
He waddled alone, he knew no-one at all
There’s a hole in the ice and a fish called out
“Why the long face, what are you sad about?”

Pilchard the penguin said, “It’s my first day,
I hoped I would make a new friend on my way.”
The fish said, “I’ll ask you your name if I may,
Then, if you don’t eat me we’re friends from today.”

Pilchard said, “Pilchard, that is my name.”
The fish said, “Hah, good one, you’re playing a game!”
Pilchard looked puzzled, “It’s Pilchard, it’s true.”
The fish said, “Who gave such a daft name to you?”

Pilchard the penguin looked terribly sad
The fish said, “I’m sorry I made you feel bad,
I guess that it’s quite a cute name as it goes
But, Pilchard, you’re ‘penguin’ right down to your toes.”

Pilchard took one or two steps on his way
The fish said, “Don’t go off to school feeling gray.”
Pilchard said, “Okay, Fish, what is your name?
You’ve had a good laugh, perhaps I’ll do the same.”

The fish said, “I wonder if my mum and dad
We’re rather like yours and we’ve both been had.
You’re Pilchard the penguin, but I’m just as bad
I’m Penguin the pilchard, now isn’t that mad?”

Love All Dearest Pal

Extend your love and cover all
Let for your love the World fall

Show true concern and express
Use deep affection and impress

Let your love be clearly shown
It must be first made known

Choose words that heal mind
Cure injuries by being kind

At no time use any bad language
As it causes maximum damage

Let your mercy work like fountain
Let deep love be your sole captain

The kindest words that you utter
Must make mind and heart better

Avoid negative usage of anything
As only temporary joy, it will bring

If you can boost the World's morale
Your life will never at all turn stale

If spreading peace is your sole aim
A place in all hearts, you can claim.

Friend

I have a friend I haven’t seen for ages
We met so long ago
Companies advertised in the yellow pages
Cars were ninety horsepower
And London’s tallest
was the Post office tower.
I sent him a text, to congrats his team
He said he’d call, have a chat
We haven’t spoken yet, so I guess that’s that.
But I know when we catch up
He’ll burst my sides
We’ll feed of each other
Till we can’t breathe
I love him. My mate from the past.
See you soon!

That Time When You Were Mine

Had such fun
As we’d run in the sun
Splash in the pool
Act like we’re cool
Play patty cake
Feel our skin bake
Skip rocks in the stream
Pretend faces look mean
Laugh all the while
Always a smile
Wrestle our thumbs
Comprehend sums
Candy cigarettes
And we were set
Showed off our scars
From playing too hard
Carved rings out of acorns
Our fingers they adorned
Chased you through the flowers
How our mothers would howl
Stole a kiss behind the shed
Said one day we’d wed
Built forts in the yard
And with playing cards
Climbed up tall trees
Tumbled and scraped knees
Ate ice cream for breakfast
If our parents would let us
And fruit for dessert
Because it just worked
You were seven
But pretended to be eleven
And I was eight
Thought I was ready to date
Why can’t this last
I wish I could ask
But I was too young to know that then
Good times we had, oh remember when
Where are you now
My favorite pal
I’ll never forget that time
When you were mine

I Never Leave a Pal

Friendship should be kept,
though miles we're apart
distance it's still great;
because you are in my heart.

I'm gabby that makes you pique
I tell all with no holds barred,
I laugh, feel angry, I kick
for you pal, I won't be scared.

You just don't know why
I stick on and never leave,
even mountains that are full
of thorns, for you I'll drop by.

Whenever you are needing me,
I'm always be there anytime of the day.

15th's Crystal, My Dream Tryst Pal!
Due to our friends Michelle & Yedidia,
Hos V' Shalom, My rough shell didn't get Rid o' Yah!
Braving her high dive, Echoing catastrophe,
Barbara cared! Leaven n' Grit, for me a Pasta Trophy,
Together we dared, I also shook in my boots,
Vets o' domestic strife, yet Emunah in Jewish roots,
Me the sincere Ger, she the Ba'alus Teshuva, fixed,
Anomalies o' Families shared, We like Cholent mixed,
Now in Quarantine Serene o' Corona Virus,
Bananagram companions, Not letting virus Try Us,
Listen! Hear the birds singing? Tweeting n' Agreeing!
Our 15th renewal also each Hearing n' Seeing,
I wonder "Why me?" Ataxia, an ugly swan but Crystal,
That Hashem blessed us together is amazingly Mystical!
