Premium Member Most Passengers On This 12-Hour-Flight Are Watching Lethal Weapon

I noticed whilst walking up and down the thing
What's going on here I thought
I had been given a middle seat
In what I consider to be the worst flight I have ever experienced
The two passengers either side of me were trolling
Ghosting me
Two Count Drunkulas in the dark
I got up and sat in one of the flight attendant's seats
I needed leg room and the final frontier
I needed me, myself and rock star parking
Like a suicidal cop
The window seat bloke started shaving
A nudge war after landing to hurry it up
As he was gagging for a cigarette
I was so mentally fatigued
Cream crackered and shagged
That I forgot to make this poem a calligram
As was originally intended
You know, in the shape of the fuselage
Oh what genius
I told friends
They asked what other films were available on the flight
Lethal Weapon 2 I replied

Premium Member Mel, O Drama'

Mel is going to spill some beans
Reviling some icons of siver screens
Hey he's not perfect I guess we know ?
Will we get some truth though? Will his
Expos'e go? Go to the roots or just skim
The leaves? Are the laurels browning?
In tinsel towns drowning? will the damn wall
Burst? Do the media's thirst? Or will they
Lose it in the pipes? Discharge content' well they
Might ?
Do we hope for the best to accept the worst?
Are they spontaneous or is it script and verse?

Premium Member Mel Is a Sensationalist

Mel is a sensationalist
Always bringing worst scenarios to the fray
at every meeting
There are five of us

Three of us have her figured out
Unfortunately our boss instantly overreacts
To every one of Mel’s utterances
We have no idea why
There is some weird bond.

Many of her facts are based on nothing substantial
Merely rumors or gossip.
We others are supposed to act immediately
The boss would have us jumping at every one
perpetually believing her silly cousin Mel.

Happy Birthday, Dear Grandma Mel

Happy birthday, dear Grandma Mel
Is a greeting filled with great love;
It's from the heart of the sender
Beneath the sky and sun above.

Happy birthday, dear Grandma Mel,
Your faith and hope are both valid;
They are just like a concrete rock,
Very steady, strong, and solid.

Happy birthday, dear Grandma Mel,
God has granted your life's desire;
You keep your trust firm and ablaze,
Never quenching the Spirit's fire.

Happy birthday, dear Grandma Mel,
You're amazing and marvelous;
Despite the test and tough trials,
You've just emerged victorious.

You've done well with Songs and Poems,
Hosting via YouTube channel;
Let your program prosper ,
Happy birthday, dear Grandma Mel.

Mel the Bat

Some people have dogs and cats.
But the pet that I chose is a ban.
He's very beautiful and his name is Mel.
When people see him, they run like hell.
Owning Mel is something that I don't regret.
.But I have no social life because I have a bat for a pet.
Women come to my house and scream when they see Mel flapping around.
They want nothing else to do with me or Mel after they faint and fall down.
One damn woman nearly killed Mel when she sprayed him with Raid.
I love my bat but because of him, I have no chance of getting laid.
When a 900 pound woman fainted and fell down, she caused and earthquake.
Mel and I were both frightened when everything started to shake.
My own brother wouldn't visit me on a whiskey bet.
If you want a social life, don't get a bat for a pet.

Mel Nicholls

Mel had to berate a bad car driver,
Who, at traffic lights, nearly hit her,
She said “Life flashed” in rigid fear,
When the car towards her did steer.

She rubs shoulders with Crockroft,
As a middle distance athlete not soft,
Because she lies in the T34 category,
Whilst also doing sprints, has agility.

Born in the July of 1977 in Worcester,
She did well in meets, her multiplier,
Of her talent and skill, her preparation,
For the 2012 Paralympics in London.

In London Mel finished 7th, the 200m,
But went on from there to have feathers,
On podiums when she came in third,
In the 100m - 2014 European standard.

Also in the 800m she came in second,
To obtain the silver medal conditioned.
And then at Doha in 2015, World’s stand,
She took silver again for her strong hand.

She made the Rio GB squad and calls,
Her wheelchair is Dolly, and her stalls,
Are as a teaching assistant because she,
Studied Equine Science, it is her sea.

Mel and Nick

I was so loud when we first met
I knew you were both lovely people
My mind was already set
Thank you both for believing in me
Which is something even I failed to see
I have maybe not known you both that long
But my guards now down
I am feeling strong
You will both always share a place in my heart
I love you both lots and thank you
Here's were my new life starts

Premium Member It's Supposed To Make - Me - Mel - Low

So they've upped my medication

From 10 mg to 20 mg

It's the stuff that's supposed to make... me... mel... low

I almos... uh... almo... almost nodded... off... ff!

Don't think it's strong enough yet... thhh...ough!

Hopefully I'll soon start writing about fairies and pretty flowers

Instead of demons and evil monsters

Some of my best friends are fairies

Hang on... the ones with wings like Tinker Bell

We go skipping through the meadow with gay abandon

Now there you go misunderstanding me again

Well, getting back to my medication

Sometimes it makes me so mellow

I tend to try to stuff mashed potatoes in my ear hole

Not a good idea... especially in a restaurant

Mothers grab their wee kiddies

Cover their eyes while quickly moving to a different table

I mean no harm... I love everybody

In the whole great big entire world

Bedroom Rhapsody, Collaboration By Mel Merrill and Casarah Nance

My angel wakes to dew drops through her misty, bedroom eyes,
Of what she dreams, the stars it seems, as begins the dawn's reprise.
Her ruby lips ignite a spark, and beg a gentle kiss,
This thing I crave, to love a slave, and until her waking miss.
Passion welling deep inside as she holds me tenderly,
As the cockcrow grants an added verse to our bedroom melody.
Sweet heat her touch upon my face, weathered by life's earnest way,
Made young again by love's refrain, as the lilting notes replay.
Ah to wake, perchance to sing, though now and then off key...
Still we harmonize to dawn's reprise--our bedroom rhapsody!

Sunlight In the Glen--Collaboration Poem By Jan Allison and Mel Merrill

Dappled sunlight dancing among the trees in the wooded glen
Lingering amongst the wood where it has ancient been
She dances fast, and sometimes slow, the tempo ever changing
Gentle breeze she stirs the trees; the mood is scintillating

The crystal clear water sparkles with a silvery light
Like diamonds splayed on velvet, or a starry, starry night
Shafts on sunlight fall on the crumbling old stone wall
Shedding light on these, the wall and trees, near brook and waterfall

Nature's beauty, boundless, in this timeless timid wood
We walk the paths so often trod where ancient feet have stood
Each scattered ray comes out to play in primordial den
How privileged I, that I could spy, this sunlight in the glen

Its been a true privilege working with Mel on this poem

Mel-Top

Twirling and spinning
Like poet's mind to pen or
one's brush to canvas.

For Melton, a co-artist, whose idea on a painting amazed me.
