Morning Mayhem

For day is near, and I intend to wake
My love with little kisses on her cheek,
To make her flush, all for my loving sake,

She stirs,

With heaviness in mornings brittle span,
She mourns the night, and dreams a little more,
But there are times men must understand,

Not this time.

My strong inclination toward her mayhem
Drives my wild thoughts to tickle her sides,
No peaceful sway o’er my heart – reign, mayhem!

She’s awake!

I quickly retreat to my standing,
But she is quicker, and knocks o’er my landing.

to improve my life
there is no greater
compliment

you helped me
create order
from mayhem

and realize

I just might be
my own
soulmate

this is
the best

compliment
of your life

and mine

Augury Limne

It’s dark here—

Pillars of rain hold tears in place
     as the thunder bellows
lupine laments
     succor for saccharine hiboux
murmurs of misunderstanding
malice on the mind of mayhem,
unaware of the daffodil’s proclivity
     for imminent destruction,
the madness of sacral lilies,
petrichor hymns
     crooned to She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named

Premium Member MAGICAL MAYHEM

Maybe dreams come true for some lucky girl
At peace with herself and the man that chooses her,
Good luck with that, it’s not my vibe,
Indeed, freedom looks good on me,
Costing nothing because nothing isn’t worth anything ~
And, like the singer said, freedom is just another word for nothing left to
Lose.

Maybe the Universe didn’t hear me,
After all who am I to ask for favor?
Yet again I wonder at the beauty of the stars~
Heaven isn’t meant for such as I,
Emptied of every sigh
Moving against the sky…

Premium Member Mayhem in the Bread Aisle

Bread hit them like a ton of bricks.
Bread can make one very sick.

Man minding his own business,
Quickly became a mayhem witness.

The teenage four, like the Joker’s core,
destroying aisles in the grocery store.

On a hot eve, they hit my man with a fighting bag.
It’s all a game…received more than a finger wag.

Like all good criminals they forgot camera’s rolling.
For act-out job, the manager - police would be calling.

But not until the chase and the chastening from victim.
Wrong guy - hoodlums shouldn’t have picked on him.

War And Peace

Altho' 'tis something
any sane man would disdain,
should abstain from and abhor,
there are those I condemn
who choose
to cry, 'Mayhem!'
and let loose the dogs of war.
Meanwhile,
no need to think twice,
I prefer a 'purr',
to play nice and release,
tho' they may be old hat,
the pussy-cats of peace.

Premium Member Mayhem of Diadem Forsaken

Locked behind the gate, a jewel lies hidden.
The wind emits a mutter of love smitten.
A shadow plays a game of hide and seek,
With a tantalizing prod, and a sneak peek
That glints a sparkle from par buried gem.
Amidst the interplay of black and white, lies the mayhem,
Of a memento of love lost, jewel lost, diadem forsaken.

Warnings from the Abyss

Dwell in the river and the monster will eat you
While the flakes of snow float over,
Forsake the pleasure and erase the relic
As your internal mayhem will soon break
If you oppose my revelations.

I exist so you can be killed,
When my purpose is fulfilled;
I shall cease,
As long as I do not;
I have malfunctioned,
To let you out of the abyss.

Forgive Me

Is that your answer?
Was that my final chancer?
Do we have scope for more?
Can we still be each other's forevermore?

Why shall thy teach it to me in a hard way?
And why must I try to get taught in an easy way?
Please let it be your final straw,
Please give me a final chance.

I have tried my best to change myself,
and I will try more to do so.
The darkness you will leave me in is eternal,
please don't leave me and I'll be your imperishable.

Hope is buried, gulping Satan of the Night.
Its odd, dreadful beats drove in schizo sight.
Sweet dread awaits the fair-headed, awful stride.
As fear drew closer, it heard the sad words abide.

They were expressionless, their bodies obeying.
Love, it's ignored—bleeding hearts break, swaying.
They recall dread and can tell a horrific story well.
A red-hot sword could lure Satan from his shell.

Haunting, poltergeists, and zombies are the core
At Halloween, they shine as murderers may abhor.
Undermining existence in horror's catacombs
Blood and mayhem are the spooky twin gnomes.

Become a demon, and I'll stay at Dracula castle.
Awaken afraid from a lucid state, scared of hassle.
Amidst a Halloween party, I was stuck in despair.
Fear remains upon me after a spooky nightmare.

Premium Member -Mayhem Poetry Form

I do not know the different forms of poetry
To be honest I have no desire to ascertain
So many forms and so complicated
To much confusion for my lazy brain!

I just like to write my thoughts down
A combination of heart and mind
About life and all it encompasses
Usually in a rhyme

I love reading poetry
Be it fiction or the real deal
Humorous, heartfelt, serious, dark,
All topics and opinions on how poets feel

I respect poets who love a challenge
Who appreciate the varied poetry forms
But for me just reading the names of them
Leaves my brain all tattered and torn!

Qawwali, Jueju ,Concrete
Munajat, Vogon,Tyburn, Grook
Only a handful of many
Like words out of a science fiction book!!

My personal preference is to keep it simple
Avoiding forms like Diamanté or Suzette Prime
Continuing to pen my poems
In just good old fashioned Rhyme !

Gun! What an invention you are!
Easily available in every bazaar!

People use you as a toy for the sake of fun!
With your entry entirely a new culture has begun!

In a lunatic’s hand you have become a wild stone!
Whichever the direction you are thrown is not known!

The purpose of your invention is only to defend!
But it has opened the gates for a new trend!

People become very bizarre when possessing you!
They use you indiscriminately not knowing who is who!

Seeing you in someone’s hand, people stand still!
Is it humane, killing the innocent and calling it a thrill?

People kill each other, seeking their needs to fulfill!
For checking this mayhem, who has to invent a pill?

I do not find fault with you, believe what I say is true!
It all depends upon the wisdom of people who use you!

Premium Member Its All Bunkum, This De Banking'

Lets be frank' who would want to de-bank?
It seems like communisam.?
Not just an odd buisniss schsim'
Theres no balance of books? At first and
Second last looks.' Theres big payouts
On ideas' and moves on genders, its really
Ballons flags and suspenders, what return
Is envusaged? As society is ravaged.'
Is there ground for class actions, against
Legal infractions? Is a bearer not promised
To be paid, to be honest ' as we note this
Reality, we observe rampant insanity a rejection
Of reason, a late summer madness amidst a
Lowering of ammounts? taken in or out of accounts!
Yet inflation considered shoud not rationality
Be delivered, good service for custom, not fabrication
And bunkum.! Is the free market not told us? in
The world vision, and action thats always sold us'
A value a co-hesion for world benefit its ever reasoned
Is this its reflection? There must be collective
Rejection!

Premium Member Instigator of the Mayhem

beautiful wedding
priest gave a lovely talk
message was “marry someone you are proud of”
Three couples broke up during the reception
Socialized behavior went out the window
Yelling, screaming, throwing of chairs
Rings were thrown
Accusations were shrieked
Guests got more than they paid for
Priest took another sip of red wine
Having no idea that he was the instigator of the mayhem

MAYHEM

Afar from my own way
Of living life before;
Got the chaos of feeling in love.
Can't walk away!

I am anew!
No glimpse of what is love with thee.
I tried making feelings brew,
Like a coffee-stoup.

Here comes the spring,
Here comes the fall,
Just like the way
Thee gave me ring.

Ring I wore on
Tho meaning is nowhere to find.
I waited a lot,
But nothing I got.
