Wondering why America wants teens supervised in 2025... Have we made our kids lazy, lacking manner, bored. There is a reckoning for lack of parental discipline. Let the kids play outdoors, not in restaurants and grocery stores. Make your kid's environment wonderful at home, give them attention...don't rob them of that by inattention to their upbringing. Let's not talk "adulting" - let's grow up!

Bread hit them like a ton of bricks.
Bread can make one very sick.

Man minding his own business,
Quickly became a mayhem witness.

The teenage four, like the Joker’s core,
destroying aisles in the grocery store.

On a hot eve, they hit my man with a fighting bag.
It’s all a game…received more than a finger wag.

Like all good criminals they forgot camera’s rolling.
For act-out job, the manager - police would be calling.

But not until the chase and the chastening from victim.
Wrong guy - hoodlums shouldn’t have picked on him.

Nice story of justice in the end through your Couplet poetry, Kim. I enjoyed the read, my friend. Bill

Amazing at what teenagers do these days and those beyond their teen years as well. Thanks for sharing this one with us. There was a teen girl here that said her and her friends would go in a store that carried duct tape and open the package of a design they liked then tear of a tiny piece and put the piece on their phones trying to see who could get the most different ones on their phones. They were not thinking about the fact that made that roll of duct tape unsellable. Sara K

timely and pertinent poem, Kim. Just today I saw two boys about 11 years old playing basketball in the toy aisle--their mother was just ahead of them...the lack of discipline creates entitled children who want to play even in adulthood....okay, this is my soap box. I'll stop now, have a wonderful evening, Sara

Glad you joined in. Part of protection and love is discipline. Thank you, Sara!

Enjoyed all of them. And you are quite right, Kim: Let's not talk "adulting" - let's grow up! Well said that woman! :) john
