Non-working floor fan
windows with non-working screens
wet spot on love seat
No pen for a pocket
No purpose with a pull
No left with a reason
No right with a rule
No lessons on Tuesday
No Wednesday at home
No makes for the model
No data on the phone
No recess like play tag
No fair with a wheel
No loving in a leaving
No steady for a deal
No next with rear view
No backseat like here
No address at Taylor rd.
No love seat like dear
No easy with an answer
No always with a true
No echoes at here that
No misses there but you
I wrote my dad a poem, one year.
Thought he was clearing his voice.
He was choked up with tears,
something I never expected.
Mom died.
Those tears became a torrent.
Endearment.
His story is written,
not on fancy paper
but in martini glasses,
cheers,
in the blanket,
on the love seat,
at the table with the blinds -
mom saw only once
before cancer
sent her to the place of no return.
I brought balloons.
The giant one said Happy Father’s Day.
Accompanying those
three pink and one blue -
representative of the love
that surrounds him.
we’ve got you, dad.
you’re not alone.
your children have you.
…and dad,
you both were great parents.
Bursts forth blissfulness, in tranquil stillness
Magnetic heat fills us from head to feet
Ineffable is our heart’s happiness
In resonance with the divine love beat
Our head melds with heart, conceding defeat
Silence continuum, ushers wellness
As Ohm vibration within does repeat
Bursts forth blissfulness, in tranquil stillness
Negating not, our mind-body this-ness
We rest egoic thought forms, that love deplete
Vibrant then becomes, in-form consciousness
Magnetic heat fills us from head to feet
We vaporise, as love does love throbs greet
Our aura transmutes to soft white brightness
As we imbibe soma elixir sweet
Ineffable is, our heart’s happiness
Wisdom downloads dispel our soul’s darkness
As of heart’s desire, we dance to love’s tweet
Is-ness of being-ness in joyfulness
In resonance with the divine love beat
Rapture’s unbound as polarities meet
Boundaries blur; we entwine with oneness
Heart takes pole position, at the love seat
God’s light in fullness, fills our emptiness
Bursts forth blissfulness

Both liberation and bondage
The touch of love and acts savage
Sensed at the centreless fulcrum
Where no mind-body battles rage
Our soul, in this here body prism
Once aligned with love, leaves no chasm
Nestled at God’s feet, bliss replete
Bliss bursts at our sensorium
Head melds with heart, at the love seat
Greeting each face we chance to meet
Truth dawns without aid of mirrors
Savouring soma nectar sweet
In joy imbibing bliss tremors
All are love and light reflectors
Luminous in the vibrant void
Delighting in bliss borne shivers

Hello there, fragrance of boundless delight
Love touch vibrational, makes us complete
Joy such, from which may we never alight
Bubbling rapture renews each day and night
As love does love, in joyousness so greet
Hello there, fragrance of boundless delight
Our love grows byte by byte, to zenith height
Suffused we are, by bliss nectar replete
Joy such, from which may we never alight
Love enigmatic, hidden in plain sight
Each sensory flicker, elixir sweet
Hello there, fragrance of boundless delight
Twin flame souls entwine, radiating light
Soundless rhythm we feel is one heartbeat
Joy such, from which may we never alight
Our love transcendental makes all wrongs right
Together we occupy, one love seat
Hello there, fragrance of boundless delight
Joy such, from which may we never alight

A Poem to your spouse on his-her birthday. Poetry Contest
Sponsor: Funom Makama
You know your fat
When
Candy is on the top of your food pyramid
Your spouse hits the ceiling when you lie down to bed
The love seat becomes your chair
All you can eat buffet becomes a dare
Five XXXXX does not fit
You take a whole row on a jet
You go outside and block the sun
Walking the rector scale begins to run
You have an intervention at the drive through
Looking down you can't see your shoes
Stepping on the scale a white flag appears
Your third chin hides your full beard
A candy bar is your tooth pick
Snacking before third breakfast does the trick
You know your fat
When
Omar the tent maker richly retires
You realize this body is not what you desire
You can get in shape
Do it for you and lose that weight
Dance of innocence, to divine cadence
Vibrant exuberance in nonchalance
We are all upbeat by magnetic heat
Sitting thus at Gods feet, with bliss replete
Head-heart balance, with love in alliance
Bliss the quintessence of divine essence
Self-luminescence, Gods own radiance
Love embrace indiscreet, knows no retreat
Dance of innocence
Essence of presence, aligned with conscience
Upright stance, immersed in a prayerful trance
Love sweet greets, once lower mind we forfeit
Heart the love seat, where polarities meet
Self-effulgence bursts forth in full brilliance
Dance of innocence

Cat nap, green love seat.
Soft purrs, never skip a beat.
Her human's best treat.

Janice's Basset Hound
This dog is so quiet
Bella never barkseats
With her big brown
eyes
She will stare at you
If you say a treat
She gets excited
Then eats it quickly
When she wants to
sit
Upon the love seat
She will stare at you
Till you notice her
Taping the cushion
She will quickly jump
Settle down -then nap
She is so content
Another Time, Another Place
At another time, another place,
You and I would recline on a velour love seat,
Holding hands, watching TV under a wrap.
Another time.
Another time had love lasted,
We would walk around our sunset lake,
Kicking our Nikes like we used to do.
Another place.
There were the twinkling crow’s feet by your eyes,
Blue like the blue black lights in your hair.
The man I dreamed of in high school,
Another time.
Now under the moon, I remember you, when
You would throw back your head and laugh,
Then came the time that we were through,
Another time.
How did our infatuation fade away?
And bitter quarrelling enter in?
So long ago, though I will never forget the love
That lived in another time, another place.
So tell her how your limbs are sore
From pulling at my uproar
On the floor where we tore
Souls that soar, no keeping score
Sunburned we lie awake
Words unsaid in my heartache
Nothing opaque, this is my mistake
I knew better than to partake
But resist you couldn’t for my sake
Lust, and desire my body quakes
More and more I give you take
Then again you flake, and flake
I still taste you thus reserve to hate you
Even still I bait you, this is what it is to date you
I just want to suffocate you
Exhilarate you, intoxicate you, I tolerate you
Kiss me now till I deplete
While I listen to your heartbeat
Don’t mistreat, or be discreet.
You should know I wont compete
I should retreat, nothing is concrete
Delete delete delete delete
Memories on my love seat
Then again repeat repeat.
Sitting on the love seat,
Today I feel a moth
Bodily peeled from its chrysalis
To meet the world’s dim eyes
And worrisome gales.
God left precisely X years ago.
I had no use for one afterwards,
Until I met your breath along
The sinful clamor inside my veins.
And I am caught between duty-
Should I build you into a shrine
Of eternal unfaith-
And the wildling taste at the roof
Of my mouth- do I crush your
Grandness of the wrist,
Under the ball of my foot,
The one you kiss before you
Reach the troubled line of my leg.
My butterfly confliction
Succumbs to your godless ways.
I awoke to the sound
Of the rooster crow
Red handed with green thumbs
Covered in dirt and soap in my eyes
I walk down the hall
Of this house that is now mine
Wander into the kitchen
Turn on the stove, I prepare the roast
There is a note stuck to the refrigerator
"John and Mary will be over later,
I'll be home around two."
I check on the garden
I visited last night
Only now, I harvest
I grab the shovel
That I forgot in the rain
And place it in the shed
I'll come back for it later
Next time the plants need to be fed
Now that the aroma
Of the freshly cooked meat
Has overridden the stench
I go into the dining area
And place my greasy knife
On the bench
"Honey! I'm home!"
Somebody cried
"Honey's not here"
I replied
Now blood is everywhere
I go fetch the shovel
I didn't think would be needed
So soon, it's only noon
I sit and I wait
On the love seat in the den
For the night to live
And the day to be dead
Hummingbird sips the nectar sweet
honeysuckle rose in the heat
Orange blossoms fragrance the air
Multitudinous, no compare
As green vines curl around love seat
Hummingbird sips the nectar sweet
Overhead dazzle of bright sunshine
Dappling the shadowed cypress pine
As starlings, from flight, rest awhile
Settling over each clay roof tile
Hummingbird sips the nectar sweet
Making summer day so complete
A sudden breeze takes up it's form
Startled the birds fly up and swarm
Oblivious to frantic tweet
Hummingbird sips the nectar sweet
